- Day #5 of Chicago Bears training camp has wrapped up and it was definitely won by the Bears defense. However, the offense still made some exciting plays including a corner touchdown to Velus Jones. Watch this video to hear about everything that happened during today's practice.

@@Dom2.0 They didn't line him up at WR much because he's incompetent 💀. He's got a point Velus is a porous route runner who seldom gets adequate separation, attempting to catch passes from a QB who simply couldn't survey a field. He's got a point; pull those panties out of your ass.

This is what we should want. Defense and offense going back-and-forth. Some days the offense gets the better of the defense and vice versa. In all honesty, the defense should be a little better. They have more continuity and less new players. The offense has new coaching as well as a bunch of new, integral players. Sounds way more promising than years past when the defense would just smoke the offense every day. This is good.

I'd be more concerned if the defense consistently failed. They're supposed to be one of the top units in the NFL and if a rookie QB is consistently outplaying them then _that's a problem_ ‼
The defense is going through a pretty big transition themselves with a new coach and that's getting lost in the excitement surrounding the offense.

What’s the big deal with no one playing in hall of fame games if you have rookies? Why wouldn’t they want this important in game reps, to get more used to live games
I'm not going to be concerned about THIS defense winning against the offense right now. It SHOULD be this way! If this defense is getting shredded by ANY rookie in the first year of an offense, then I would have major concerns. I don't care if Williams is a future HOFer: he isn't NOW and THIS defense needs to be good against ALL QBs.
BTW, as for VJones, I REFUSE to accept carrying a WR solely for kick and punt return duties when he wasn't even reliable catching the ball in THAT duty alone. No dude. He needs to start showing some shit as a receiver.
