Caleb Williams was a product of circumstance. They had the first pick and it wasn't a great year for Dline, so they took advantage, grabbed Williams and kicked the can on the needs on the Dline until next season. With that in mind, I don't think we should be overly surprised if the line play is average or below. Poles will be better equiped to address those issues in '25.

Agree with Dave on this one. Particularly because the O Line is decent not good not great decent. This approach run on unpredictable downs and short and mid range passing really helps the O Line which helps your QB. Also with the Bears having two legit TEs that makes for some interesting possibilities formation wise as well. Not to mention play action passes to Odunze and DJ for the occasional mid and deeper routes. And that’s not even mentioning Swift and Herbert two very talented RBs.

So I'm a Packers fan, and if Caleb does what this guy is telling Colin, he is going to fail. If Caleb is facing an aggressive high-pressure defense, he won't have the ability to throw underneath. He's going to need to know when to call man beaters and max protect. He's going to have to make athletic throws if he wants to succeed. He needs to learn how to be dynamic and play in rhythm. Does that mean you take what the D gives you, sure, but many times the modern D won't give you those and he will need to extend the play.

Because Colin is a USC fan boy of course he thinks Caleb is ready. Just marry him already. You have shown you have no clue. A GM said Caleb is as straight as a circle and his teammates don’t want a finger nailed polished goofball quarterback. This crash and burn will be epic.

Teven Jenkins will be injured by week 4. Question marks at Center. Nate Davis is a b*m. There are a lot of question marks directly in front of Caleb. We have no depth on that line, and the talent isn’t great to begin with. The line worries me and tempers playoff talk.

He doesn't need to be Brady this year, he needs to be Trent Dillfer this year. Protect the ball and let the playmaker cook.

Let's wait and see... For DECADES the Bears Ownership, Management and Coaching have Delivered PIG SH*T to the Fans... We were told by ALL of the Experts that Justin Fields, Mitchell Trubisky and Jay Cutler were going to take us to The Promised Land... Trubisky and Cutler had MUCH MORE Effective Defenses than we have now and certainly Much More Effective that Justin Fields (Although Fields was a One Man Turnover Machine and gave M A N Y Opponents late game Victories...) Let's see what they do when the Real Season begins and the Wins and Losses really count... I'm NOT Convinced that One Quarterback can make the difference...

Last year’s offensive line was worse especially at center they’ve improved that position. But for just that wasn’t the reason the bears didn’t make the playoffs.

I'm tired of hearing same ole thing every year
" how great the defense gonna be"
    Prove it then!
anyway Always gonna come down to how good Justin Field ends up being that's the stigma that's gonna follow pace but idk if Jayden daniels start for washington he might be my favorite for Rookie of the year. The bears gotta reverse the curse and develop a perennial pro bowler at QB thinking Caleb might be the one but it starts with stacking high performance days throughout practices

Much respect for Wanny, but Russ has been cooked for a few years now. Some of us saw it in the last few years in Seattle. He's not the guy that the coach saw back in the day. Maybe he has some good moments this season, but the Russ of ten years ago is not same Russ of today.
