  • This is a video that shows the process on how I created this replica of the Guardians of the Galaxy Quad Blaster modeled in Plasticity and brought into Blender 3.51 to render this object. This video was created to help others learn how to use Plasticity to make objects. If you like the video please subscribe and comment.
Anyone want to be able to download the object to follow along or see how this is put together then come join my Patreon page where the objects can be downloaded. Will be adding in how to set this up in Blender, texture and light this scene within the Patreon page and most likely Gumroad.

This is a great video, teaching the elements you need to develop for your design. Excellent job!

Nice. Having done a lot of work in illustrator, my tip for making a large repeating pattern is to
Make the basic shape, duplicate it and snap it to the first and keep duplicating until you have a row wide enough. Too big is ok. Then copy the row and snap it below and keep duplicating rows. It goes very fast and deleting what you don’t need is easy. Then start extruding etc. Do the repetitive work when the shapes are the most simple.

Very good tutorials! Could you please model the sole of the shoe, organic design with curved and complex figures, design based on the photo? It would be very helpful, thank you!

Thank you for your video! It would be interesting to see the process of creating a sea boat, with its many elements, curves.
I also wonder if there are ways to use Plasticity together with photogrammetry programs, as a kind of exact ( sapr, cad ) retopology.

Thanks for the comments! You can use loft to create the curves for the ship with blue prints or images to get close to the shapes. You can covert the photogrammetry to IGES format and bring it in if reduced down. Thanks

A bit late to comment but every time i try to hit sweep @4:14 I keep getting error "Swept body has self intersection in at least one of its geometries". >.

Not sure it worked for me and I have tried this again in a new version. I would make sure the line is contacting the top of the circle you might have to adjust that. Hope this helps, thanks
