19:37 - In case you don’t want to know the quote by Kamina in EP8
"Ore wo dare da to omotte yagaru?"
I don’t want that Duolingo bird to hunt me down so I am watching your videos to learn Japanese ❤❤❤
I hope you are feeling better Misa-Chan. I want to see you make new videos for years to come. Please take care of yourself and put your personal health above everything else....including making videos. I hope you feel better soon. Ja matta!!
I've chosen a Jounin subscription on Patreon, but I cannot watch the lesson for absolute beginners #25 Don't do ~ (ないで), I get the "Video is private" message.
Hi Misa,
Firstly, I want to express my heartfelt thanks for all the amazing educational content you've been sharing. Your videos have been incredibly helpful, and I truly appreciate the effort you put into them.
I've noticed that things seem a bit challenging for you lately. It's great to hear that you're seeking support - taking that step is really important and commendable.
While I'm no expert, I've found that sometimes, alongside professional help, focusing on basic self-care can be beneficial. Just as in language learning, where mastering complex grammar is challenging without a solid foundation in the basics, similarly in life, addressing deeper challenges can be more effective when we've taken care of fundamental aspects of our well-being. Simple things like ensuring enough sleep (which helps with emotional regulation and cognitive function), eating a balanced diet (getting all the needed nutrients), staying active (great for stress relief, mood improvement, and very important for brain health), getting some sunlight (vital for vitamin D and circadian rhythm regulation), and keeping up social connections (essential for emotional support and a sense of belonging) are often overlooked, yet they can lay the groundwork for significant improvements.
Please know that this isn't meant to be a lecture or an assumption about your situation. These are just some principles I thought to share, which could potentially be helpful to anyone facing tough times, based on what I've learned and experienced.
Wishing you all the best and looking forward to your next video!
This has gotta be one of the most important grammar points for me. After this I feel like I can read 10x better and understand much more text than before just because of this simple sentence construct! I can't believe I haven't seen more tutorials on this within the 4 months I've been learning Japanese! みさ先生、ありがとうございま!これから、毎日、3時間に日本語勉強する。
Hope you´re doing well Misa, I was really worried because of the earthquake if you were ok. ( not sure if you were in Japan, but still ) Now I´m a little worried about your weight as you mentioned, you´re the best teacher and an incredible person. Please be careful. ♥
Her weight ??

Beautiful singing voice 😌 Thank you for another great video みさ先生🙏 You gave me the confidence to try learning the Japanese language. One of your older videos, you said “I want you to take out a pen and paper and practice this”.😂 I felt scolded by the teacher and did exactly that! I’m 4 months into my journey and feel stuck in “vocabulary land”, but I like to watch the “bigger picture” type videos too; particles, verbs, adjectives, sentence structure and such. I’m understanding much more clearly lately. Thank you so much for the hard work you do❤
Focusing on your lesson was a bit difficult this time, but NOT because of the way doing your lessons. It was because of your health problems wich i understand very well, because since the beginning of 2023 i have some health problems too, but it gets better. So i believe in you and wish you all the best! I´m glad that you exist and im very grateful for lessons they help me A LOT! 🙂
I always wondered why even in formal sentences, some verbs were spoken informally. And this video clears it up!

Love the lesson as always.Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is top tier anime, and that quote is gold. It bums me out when I hear my favorite Japanese teacher isn't feeling well. Hope your doing ok. Keep up the good work, your lessons are very helpful.
Welcome back Misa 先生!I just wanted to say that if it wasn't for your lessons, I wouldn't have been able to get better at Japanese... Your videos always keep me motivated, and determined to always keep going. Thanks to you, I could even go to Japan someday! (yayyy!) I'll support you as much as possible and always appreciate what you do for the language community. 本当に感謝している!ありがとうございます
These lessons are awesome! Thanks for taking time to help us study! ❤
Misa is back, yay! I was just watching your beginner kanji series the past few days. Good stuff! 👍
I was seriously just searching for this the other day!! And now my favorite teacher uploads a video on it. Thanks Misa!!
めっちゃ久しぶり~
Love every lesson you made. 🫶
Happy new year Misa love your teaching style

Glad to have you back in the new year I wish you success and health and happiness in the new year. I really appreciate these videos on my journey through learning Japanese thank you so much Misa-san
This video was super helpful! I have been struggling with this topic but as always the way you described it made it super clear! 😇
Misa, thank you so much for all your lessons, glad to have you back!! I probably wouldn't be learning Japanese that efficiently if it weren't for your videos, You are truly an amazing teacher ♡
Misa, I have been watching you for about 4 years. You are my "go to" on RUclips, among other Japanese learner sources to learn Japanese. Although you point out that you have lost weight, I wanted to let you know that you look very well. I hope your health will prosper in 2024 and I hope to see more of your very helpful videos for at least 4 years more. Please accept my best wishes for your health and happiness!!
いつもいつもミサ先生の動画は教育的で、楽しいから本当にありがとうございます!教えてくれてありがとう。気を付けてね❤❤
Just wanted to say how grateful I am for your content! I’ve been watching your videos on and off for about 3 years now. Embarrassingly, I’ve quit my journey on learning Japanese many times, but I finally had to chance to move to Japan about a month ago. It’s been a hard adjustment living here and not having a grasp on the language. But I wanted you to know that your videos have helped me SO MUCH at becoming more confident with myself and the language. I try to watch at least one video a day of yours and add as many new vocabulary as I can to my flashcards. From myself and all of us here in the comments, THANK YOU SO MUCH 🙂
Thank you so much for this video! I’d been wondering for the last week or so about how to form more complex sentences like this, and your explanation knocked it out of the park :)
I really like how you ensure that before an exercise ((e.g. “The person watching this video is smart.”)), you have given all the necessary vocabulary to the student so that they can really focus on and understand the grammar. ((Even if the student has terrible vocabulary, like me!))
It’s a really effective teaching strategy, and it leaves the student feeling really rewarded when they put the puzzle together :)
((I’ll be taking inspiration in my own teaching work :) ))
I really see this helping me as I listen and read more Japanese. Thank you, Misa :)
Take good care of yourself!
動画をアップしてくれてありがとうございます🙏🏻🌸

Hi Misa san, I am a student of the Japanese language and have been watching your videos for quite a long time from Nepal. The way you teach the way you explain the sentences, and the differences in grammar are incredibly awesome i absolutely loved it. Thanks a million for your effort maybe you don't have an idea how much your videos have helped a student like me. Thank you so much one more time.
I'm really so sorry that your health is so poor. I want you to know how appreciated your videos are and how much you are helping people. Thank you, for being such a lovely girl!
I have Bipolar Disorder and severe Psoriasis. I know what it's like living with something difficult.
Getting help is great. If that means we see you less often, so be it. I'd rather see you every few months than find out you lost your fight and never see you again. Your health is most important.
あけましておめでとうございます Wishing Misa and Japan and the World all the best in 2024!
Thanks!
みさ先生あけましておめでとうございます!今年もよろしくお願いします。健康と体をお大事にしてくださいね Misa sensei Happy new year please take care of yourself

you're a queen misa thank u for all the content
I miss watching videos from you. I have watched most of your videos already, I’m going back and watching/and rewatching videos to keep up with grammar and vocabulary, etc. Hope to see you here on RUclips again soon, Misa sensei
Awesome video.
I relate on the weight gain struggles! I've struggled with this all my life, but luckily I have made good progress recently. I've gone from 95 pounds to 110 pounds in 3 months. I already feel so much better, my goal weight by the end of this year is 150.
My brother is also trying to gain weight, he has superior mesenteric artery (SMA) syndrome, which is a really painful and dangerous disorder people can get from being underweight. Only way to cure it is through weight gain. But people with SMA struggle to keep food down because an artery is compressing the duodenum from a lack of fat, making it difficult for food to pass through.
He has already gained 10 pounds in a month, which is huge progress. If someone with SMA can do this, anyone can!
Anyway, thank you for the amazing video as always Misa sensei. I clicked on it the moment it popped up in my notifs ❤
This is very encouraging 💜 Thank you so much for sharing your story!
Thank you so much for your videos, Misa! I especially enjoyed your unexpected singing 😅
Whatever it is you're going through, please know your community is here for you!

Another great lesson Misa. And wow...532k subscribers. Please take care of yourself. Your #1 fan always.
ミサ先生!久しぶりっすよ!今日も綺麗っすね!
I hope things get better for you. I know it can be hard. But I have to say I have been worried about my grasp of "Relative Clauses." thank you for all you do.
13:46 すげー、そんな綺麗な声がある知らなかった
She sounds like an angel 😮
教えてくれてありがとう!
I am new to your channel, but so far I just love your way of talking and explaining. Just started my own cursus in Japanese, but have a difficult time understanding how to correctly build up a sentence.
For instance: Sometimes the Names or subject comes before the "So ko, So no, Ko re ra," etc. And sometimes you start with the demonstratives.
but I love the language and I will regularly visit here for tips and pointers.
Aah we definitely need more anime openings sung by Misa-senpai 😍
Hi Misa!
I'm very glad to see you again.
Thank for this clear lesson. I had a lot of fun watching it. That motivate me a lot in my learning journey.
(As a side note, you look gorgeous. These colors suits you well)
Hope to see you for the next lesson!
I liked the video. Part two would be helpful.
Sensei, Gurren Laggan was the first anime series I saw outside of Pokémon. I saw it way before I made the decision to learn Japanese. Seeing you break down such iconic moments made me a little emotional. Kamina's voice actor, Konishi Katsuyuki, is in the cast for the 「夜桜さんちの大作戦」/Mission: Yozakura Family anime airing this April. I get to hear him in action again.
Also, happy new year! 2023 was the year I went to Japan with my family, and I got the chance to put everything I learned to use. And that's thanks to your teachings. I'm hoping for a round 2 with more knowledge.
Каждый раз очень радуюсь новому видео ❤ Спасибо, Миса
We love you Misa, thanks for your effort
this is such an important video
Always support this channel, very good
Wow, I have been a big fan of yours since 2020, Misa. Last year I stopped watching your videos ‘cause of studying in college. And this is the first day I visit your channel again. I am very amazed of how younger and more beautiful you have become. ❤😍
Hi Misa. I really hope in the followup(s) you can discuss when が gets switched to の in relative clauses. Its been one thing ive really had a hard time finding good resources to fully grasp and know when to do myself. Also chaining together adjectives of different types and verbs in one relative clause 😅
0:14 あけましておめでとうございます
Thank you so much for your amazing videos, they are so easy to understand and explain everything so well! Could you please do a video on the dofference between きぶん、きもち and かんじ? It would be helpful for you so make a video if you havent yet because i find it hard to understand the difference!
