      Yeah, that's how she gets you. "Oh.... it's only 5 words... I might can handle that." Then we get bombarded with 500 more words plus the 5 words. But Misa is so kawaii.... we watch her anyway!

      I'd remove the みて for more impact. It's short and removes the "try" and leaves you with "do". Thanks Yoda.

    I love how in depth you explain everything. Makes it much easier to understand how Japanese works and how you "think" when building sentences. Thanks a bunch now even my monkey brain can comprehend Japanese.

      @@Theohybrid if I think you should learn to read English properly - not assume the other is wrong - before responding.
      Raichu (Japanese: ライチュウ Raichu) is an Electric-type Pokémon introduced in Generation I. It evolves from Pikachu when exposed to a Thunder Stone. ... It evolves from Pikachu when exposed to a Thunder Stone. All Pikachu in Alola will evolve into this form regardless of their origin.

    When speaking Japanese, does anyone have this same issue: One day you are almost fluent, you find all the words and manage to string them together into grammatical sentences at a fairly rapid pace and it feels like you finally are "getting there". And then the next time all you manage to do is stringing words together separated with "は" and hope they can guess what you actually are trying to say. I don't understand this volatility and it is making me a bit depressed :(

      い形容詞とは「だ」が使えない。例えば:「きついだけど」と言ったが「きついけど」のほうが自然な日本語だ。そして「面白いだった」と言ったが「面白かった」のほうがいいよ。でもそれ以外全て素晴らしいよ!

    each point just flows into the next without being overwhelming. I'm learning so much about basic grammar with real examples that actually stick, and the extra words on top are just a bonus.

    these lessons about the unspoken space between the textbooks are more than useful. they are truly endearing. i don't know if misa knows how much feeling she inspires. beyond the intellectual precision (which i greatly appreciate) misa brings a special kind of personal/feminine talent. i don't care what language you speak or don't speak. any neighborhood that has a girl like misa, is a better place to be.

    Buchou (部長) in a Japanese company is often translated as director, while kachou(課長)is closer to manager/ section chief.
