hey man i just put an accessport in my 13 hatch, i just wanted to say your videos pretty much influenced me to buy it, so thanks for the input! I can't even believe how much better it made the car run, the stock tune is absolutely brutal. I also have the sf intake, I'm loving it ha. now for stage 2 :)
thank you for sharing your valueable infos i didnt know much about you as i subscribed - but now im really impressed! Go your way with a straight heart and everything witch come back will be positiv VIVE
Blake, I really enjoy your videos man. I am about to purchase the Cobb AP, but just to be certain, this is needed for my personal enjoyment and to go to a tuner correct? Also, did you ever find out if it had an actual boost gauge? Do you need to install a wideband? Or was this able to read air/fuel ratio with a gauge? Thanks boss.
dumb question lol. I bought my 2016 wrx a few months ago and i wanna get the cobb stage 1 package that comes with an intake and AP. When i install the intake i can just install the stage 1 91 oct tune thing on the access port and i dont need to take it to a shop and get it tuned correct???
Hey Blake, nice videos! Just looking through a couple of these Cobb AP videos, what are your thoughts on the economy setting feature? I have a stock '13 WRX and do half my milage on I80 between Bay Area and Nevada City and want to cut down on fuel costs (or at least off set a little for the little fun driving I do on the back roads). Was considering a Cobb AP stage 1. Cheers
+FoggyRoadie In SF I wouldn't waste your money if you just want better MPG. That is all about throttle control. The only nice feature that with MPG is the MPG average and it just helps you with how much you push down your foot on the accelerator pedal. The gas saving map just make your car slow and less powerful. Boost is practically disabled. I wouldn't want to drive up 80 with less torque. My average MPG in my WRX when I had it stock was around 19. Stage 2 it was around 16-17. Basically if you want better MPG just buy a new WRX with the 2.0. You can try the map but I don't think you will like it much. Most likely you won't experience an increase in MPG. But hey worth a shot.
Hi Blake have you had any issues since installing the ap? Does your car seem to like it? Any advice, I'm about to install my And sf intake in a couple days
with the access port do you haft get any sort of tune or anything or do you just put it in and set it up did you have any tune on your wrx before you installed the access port or did you just put it in i dont know much about them haha just wondering how they work
The access port is a off the shelf tune. It also allows access to you ECU for custom tuning via software or a Pro tuner. It come's pre loaded with multiable maps. If you do any change to your Subaru motor you must load the appropriate map or get a pro tune. It all depends on what you do. But just to put on an intake you must have the accesport or else you car will run very lean.
Dylan Tyler In my opinion yes. But that's all up to you its kind of a gamble that you have to be willing to take. If you bought the car to mod it then its a must.
Trippy Subie Or give you the " We could not replicate the problem" speel. In reply to that maybe because you not a good mechanic or you just don't give a shit LOL.
+Jordan Hastingss I used to have an Audi A4 Quattro fun little car. As far as I know its mostly just chip tunes check out stasis engineering or APR they both do ECU upgrades and APR has a bluetooth dongle that you can connect to your smart device.
+John Tolentino Do not run an intake or aftermarket filter with out the appropriate tune. Cobb makes an OTS for a few intakes but you would be better off with a pro tuner or good E-Tune.
John Tolentino Yes if you installed the Mishimoto intake take it off immediately. This WILL damage you motor causing it to run lean. Get an accesport and a proper tune for that intake. All intakes need a different tune for the amount of air they flow.
MidWestBrick Yep later that night. Do you think I should make a video on that? Might be informative. That was Air Flow learn and I had to change each individually.
Blake's Garage wouldnt hurt.. i even learned stuff about the initial install in your vid compared to other ones out there.. no one i found on here seems to show the ENTIRE install from open box..to pc..to plug and play walk through like you did. I mean im sure i could end up figuring it out sooner or later by messin around with it.. but maybe other ppl would like to kno exactly what to do.. title it something like "Cobb AP gauge setup" or something and maybe show different variants of gauge layouts for different ppl preferences etc.. you have great vids with great feedback from everyone so like i said, it wouldnt hurt.
MidWestBrick Thanks man. Some of my video are a little long but that how you get all that good info. I like the idea so I just made a video. I will post it soon.
Blake's Garage haha awesome.. ill be getting the stage 1 package from cobb next week, so ill def check it out. and as for the vids being long, i dont mind it personally as long as helpful info continues to pour out. plus i prefer the underground youtubers like you because you actually respond in a timely manner. ive watched i think all of your "how to" vids all the way through and showed my the one where you did a 1 week review on the stage 1 tune and setup. She didnt complain about the time length either
Hey Blake, I installed the Cobb SF intake, Invidia Q300 CB exhaust and Cobb AP Stage1 93map, normal driving sometimes I get a stumble around 24-2600 rpm, I'm a newbie at this.. Any suggestions?
+Blake's Garage It's more like a hesitation, no misfire, runs normal and I can feel it spool up normal, just seems like it between 24/2600. I haven't really checked out (target) boost, where should it be at?
Mike Jimenez You can just install it however you want to do all of the updates first. So I will always recommend plugging it into the computer downloading software doing the update and then installing it.
Blake's Garage one more question. I have a 2014 wrx with a invidia exhaust do I have to add it on the Cobb or no? I’m buying a accessport and a sf intake. But wondering if I need to add exhaust or not?

+Shawn Barth It really is such an improvement. That intake noise is amazing. Hopefully stage 2 is on your christmas list.
ill get an invidia q300 and downpipe eventually. ill probably do the cobb tune then get a pro tune
thank you for sharing your valueable infos

Hey I was planning on getting a v3 my car has a grimmspeed boost controller and tbe what stage would you suggest ?
I like the wallpaper on your Mac haha!
+Unity Diversity Thanks!

I just bought a 2015 sti. do you think buying the AP is worth possibly voiding my warranty?
Dylan Tyler In my opinion yes. But that's all up to you its kind of a gamble that you have to be willing to take. If you bought the car to mod it then its a must.
Dylan Tyler Chances are Subaru would probably deny you anyways even without a tune lmfao they deny everyone
Trippy Subie Or give you the " We could not replicate the problem" speel. In reply to that maybe because you not a good mechanic or you just don't give a shit LOL.
hey blake im running an Audi S6 do you know of anything like that "Access Port" for an Audi?
+Jordan Hastingss I used to have an Audi A4 Quattro fun little car. As far as I know its mostly just chip tunes check out stasis engineering or APR they both do ECU upgrades and APR has a bluetooth dongle that you can connect to your smart device.
ah alright thanks man!
planning on buying this but I have different intake not the cobb sf should I put stock box or filter? thanks

+Blake's Garage I have mishimoti intake right now.so meaning im just gonna run my stock intake for now just to be on the safe side?
John Tolentino Yes if you installed the Mishimoto intake take it off immediately. This WILL damage you motor causing it to run lean. Get an accesport and a proper tune for that intake. All intakes need a different tune for the amount of air they flow.
Great channel!
NIXSIS Blade Worx Thanks man!
do you need a tune to change a turbo on a Subaru
do you need a tune to change a turbo on a Subaru
do you need a tune to change a turbo on a Subaru
Ricky Matrin Yes. You need a tune custom tune for pretty much every change to the motor on a Subaru.
did you ever figure out how to change all the gauges and what the boost gauge was actually saying when reading all the random numbers?
MidWestBrick Yep later that night. Do you think I should make a video on that? Might be informative. That was Air Flow learn and I had to change each individually.

MidWestBrick Thanks man glad you liked all of them. The access port gauge how to is uploading right now.
so u have to flash the ecu to get the guages
Hey Blake, I installed the Cobb SF intake, Invidia Q300 CB exhaust and Cobb AP Stage1 93map, normal driving sometimes I get a stumble around 24-2600 rpm, I'm a newbie at this.. Any suggestions?
+Chris Curran Are you hitting target boost? By stumble do you mean that it takes a second to build boost or it sputters and misfires on the way up?
+Blake's Garage
It's more like a hesitation, no misfire, runs normal and I can feel it spool up normal, just seems like it between 24/2600.
I haven't really checked out (target) boost, where should it be at?
+Chris Curran go stage two...
Chris Curran Stage 2 Will fix you up. Watch my other videos on this.
I believe Stage 2 will void the warranty?
Is Cobb safe to run
com um COBB você consegue aumentar os cavalos e torque do motor , de um carro sem outras modificações ???
+maycondeivis ferrari
sim apenas o accesport você vai ganhar HP e TQ .
so can i give my car stage 2 with after market headers and a straigh pipe
No, you will need a Pro-Tune and Downpipe if you do that setup. The Cobb OTS map will not suffice.
Hey bro do you have to use the computer to install the accessport or can you just do it off the car?
Mike Jimenez You can just install it however you want to do all of the updates first. So I will always recommend plugging it into the computer downloading software doing the update and then installing it.
Blake's Garage one more question. I have a 2014 wrx with a invidia exhaust do I have to add it on the Cobb or no? I’m buying a accessport and a sf intake. But wondering if I need to add exhaust or not?
If yes how do I do that?
Mike Jimenez catback only no. Full turboback including downpipe yes stage 2 and go catted if you don’t want a protune off the bat.
How do i get a pro tune for a downpipe?
Google
Nice...
Thanks man, I just uploaded a new video on fixing boost leaks if your interisted.
Hey, nice Video. but i have a question. can i Change the Language to German? pls reply.
