there is something about Capaldi that makes me watch him over and over again. Just watching him talk alone is great. i dunno why
+Emre Karaman I feel the same too! I don't know why either, but since English is not my mother tongue, I find his scottish accent and his broken voice to sound special. Combined with his nervous looking, he gives the feeling of a sharp and accurate character.
+Dantius Leria Neither is it my first language, and I love the Scots accent - no problems on that count for me. But it certainly sounds different. I also think we needed a change from the two hyperactive puppies we had before, and from flappy arms.

Peter also seems so comfortable in the role now, I hope this series is amazing :) Capaldi deserves it.

The sisterhood of karn are actually interesting. I would love to see more of them, as of the modern adaptation.

Love these little prologues. Eight's regeneration prologue was one of the 5 best bits of Whodom ever in my opinion.
Convinced it's davros... Pretty sure Doctor Who's got a bigger budget this year xD The "cinematic" feel is absolutely amazing :)

Wow he really has come a long way with the sisterhood. From mocking and really not standing each other (The Brain of Morbius), to working towards a common goal despite still not standing each other (Sisters of the Flame, The Vengeance of Morbius), to the events of The Night of the Doctor and now this: He is confiding in her; they seem like old friends.

First off I'd like to start off with saying my comment was a joke. However, I'm pretty serious about my standpoint on Series 5. I loved Series 5 and I consider it one of the best New Who Series.
We all have our own likes and dislikes.
imo Series 6 started out really strong with the opening two parter, but then it faded away into crap.
Good to hear that Moffat is finally putting all his heart into his writing again. The last time he truly did that was probably during the RTD era.
Also, weird question: What is your opinion on the New Who Cybermen? I hate them, they look like generic robots. *The Tenth Planet* will always remain as my favorite Cyberman design.
"His servents seek you everywhere"? Surely she's referring to Davros. Would be a big surprise if he appears at the end of episode 1.

+Greavesy It's probably not the Master because the pronouns used are male. While sure, she could've regenerated again, I really doubt that because all of the reasons. It's Davros, I'd prefer it if they said it right away.
+Veikko Elo It could be a future incarnation of the Master. But I think there is a real possibility it is Morbius, his servants being the Cult of Morbius. Don't worry though, I have a feeling Davros is involved as well.

I enjoyed him in season 8 but he was so dark and mean a lot.

+TheJaviferrol Probably because they're so short, they're not given the chance to be convoluted or to build up for ages to a disappointing climax. All the goodness is focused in a short period, and kept to the point.
Please don't let this be the end of Capaldi.

It'd be great if he went out on a high though, so if this series is great I won't mind if he does regenerate. I'm worried about the 3rd series featuring him even though we know nothing about it yet

Um, not to be rude or anything, but I'm pretty sure the sonic was a pretty important part of Classic who as well, wasn't it? I mean, I know the 3rd and 4th used it, I think the 2nd did as well, and I believe the 1st at least mentioned it. I think the 5th also used it for a little bit, and the 7th near the end of his life at least, as well as the 8th. And every doctor since has had one. So all of them but the 6th Doctor used or had a sonic, if I have my information right. Please correct me though if I'm wrong.

Probably not. Remember that 11 was supposed to die in season 6, but Matt Smith went on to appear in season 7

+Jolanos --No, She was the reason that He was able to stop the bloodshed... Although he had thought that he had killed them all in order to save the rest of the entire universe... Until AFTER he had regenerated into his last natural body (Matt Smith) and then met himselves and realized that they (all of the first 12 Doctors AND his War-Doctor Persona had actually saved Galifrey by placing it in a state of Time-locked hibernation in a 'pocket universe' all its own. When the 9th Doctor (Christopher Eccleston) first saw the one DALEK that somehow had escaped The Time War, with Rose as his then latest companion, The Doctor realized that something had happened to change the events as he knew them and he kept going in part to solve the mystery of how that DALEK and later many other DALEKS has escaped that fate of total destruction that he thought he had caused... He didn't then yet know how, but he knew something in his own timeline had been altered... Later we see how it was The Great Intelligence and his interference in The Doctor's own collective time-stream in the Doctor's grave on Trenzalore that cause a fracture for the DALEKS to escape and also caused other changes... When Clara stepped into this time-stream also to stop the Great Intelligence repeatedly throughout many points in time, it helped keep much in-tact, yet still changed other things...When The Doctor (12) asked Clara in Series 8, whether he was a good man or not, she siad that she didn't know...??? she had sacrificed her life to save The Doctor, the Universe and the time-line all for The Doctor, YET she didn't know ??!

+Jolanos The Doctor knew he had a choice to make to save the entire universe, and even then the 8th Doctor knew he was trying to avoid that. Karn didn't force the Doctor to save the universe, the Doctor knew that he had to do something and had the chance to become someone who could.
I mean he said he hates her. Plus had she not pushed the Doctor into joining the war, the Universe would be royally fucked right now (or straight up not exist)
I have a feeling that by the end of this series I will have grown very fond of 12. :)

Dark, mysterious, foreboding. Great dialogue. Reminiscent of "The Night of the Doctor" mini-episode starring Paul McGann as the Eighth Doctor.

How am I just now finding this. A bit sad I already know how things turned out so this isn’t a mystery for me, but still a great mini episode and you can appreciate it a lot having watched series 9.

And even though he knows he is the smartest man in the room, he expect that everyone else can keep up with him (mentally) in his leaps in logic and strategy. And when they can't he exagerates the truth.

I'm having trouble containing this nergasam.
I know we're still with Capaldi and this is his second term as the Doctor. He's grown to be liked and I do love his take as the Doctor. I would just like to say that I would like to see Colin Firth take up the role. Surely Kingsman was proof enough he can be awesome and he does carry that "English Gentleman" vibe about him... Oh well.

This two minute prologue needs to be shown to Chibnall and Whittaker on how to write and act out a Doctor Who scene.
Subtle and dark with a dash of humour. No OTT acting, no boring drawn out dialogue, no emotionless score, just perfect.

I know what you mean. It is (was really) by far my fav tv show ever. So different from anything else out there. Now I feel that in an attempt to appeal to a larger audience, they are trying to make it similar to other lame/fast paced/monotonous sci-fi crap out there.
+noam b I guess you only really watched Nu Who, which has been fast paced since it came back, like 40 minutes of build up such as Doctor running then he either waves his magic wand or brings a victory out of nowhere whereas older series had multiple episodes for 1 story even if the episodes were half the length.
9 still holds up, 10 has aged badly, 11's good episodes hold up but the bad are awful, I disliked in the previous series the focus on kids and multiple ethnic characters (Im all for equality but they feel shoved in to be PC)

Want the part? If you're black, a woman, disabled, etc. Then it's yours. They need to go for skill above all else, which is also why I hate the female doctor debate
***** Well about the female doctor debate, as Moffat said, it isn't about him being female or male. It's about the person. And if they'll meet an exciting and satisying actrees they would surely cast her. But the show does suck though now.
Well I don't dislike the actual Doctors as much as how the plot flows, at most 10 I thought had a great actor but he seemed to alternate between 2 extremes , either childish and arrogant to angry and yelling, I thought he was just right in the 50th and the most of Series 2, as for characters the only minority if you can call it that I liked was Captain Jack as he was fleshed out rather than just random strangers suddenly kissing, and the last series had too many shoved in black characters, I know a lot of its set in London but being shoved in to fill quotas is stupid nothing feels natural and a lot of people argue how its fiction therefore its allowed.
I wish we had more male companions rather than all but one of the female companions fancying the Doctor.
I also think rather than a female Doctor focus on Jenny, a female Doctor would only work if it was a spin off or for a one off special for shock value or if a AU timelord arrived such as a alternate Romana who calls herself the Doctor as her Doctor is dead and uses his Tardis.
