    One more question...If using 4mm beads instead of 3mm... would it be best to use less beads for the ring?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  2 года назад +1

      The size difference isn't going to be huge, but yes, it you think it may look too crowed, just use a few less. You can always take away and add to make the design exactly the way you want it!

    Is there a tutorial for matching earrings?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  2 года назад +1

      Not at this time, but a great suggestion for a future tutorial. Check out this cha cha bracelet tutorial. You can easily make this into a pair of earrings by shortening the length and adding an ear wire to the chain at the top. You can use the same style of bead from the ring tutorial.

    i’m very new to making rings, so apologies in advance if this is an awful question, but: what if i would rather that the ‘charms’ are more wiggly and dangly and free-floating as opposed to fluffy? do you not wrap it as tightly? also, can i make three loops on the top of the ring, as opposed to the one if i have a ton of charms that i want to add? again, sorry if these questions are really dumb; i’m not sure what to do. thanks, this channel is great for newbies! 💎💫💎

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 года назад

      Hi Valley! We believe that there are no dumb questions! In fact they help us to make better jewelry tutorials. In regards to your question, this particular video isn't really catered to looser, dangling charms, but probably can be modified. However, Katy just did a new video on this exact thing! In the tutorial, she only adds three charms, but you can certainly add more my making your first initial loop a bit larger. You aren't limited to charms either. You can also use holed beads, like Susan uses in the cha cha video.
      Here is a link and good luck!

      Hi! Use as many or as little as you want until you achieve the look you want. For the purposes of this tutorial, Susan uses apx 10-12 beads.

    Is there any way to keep the wire from slipping around the mandrel?

    • @BigHenFor
      @BigHenFor 5 лет назад +1

      If pulled tight enough, the wire will not slip. The half-hard wire 20ga she used can take it.

    What size loops does that loop tool make?

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  4 года назад +1

      We have three one-step loopers and you can choose your fave! Here's the 1.5mm one I used -- www.jtv.com/product/vintaj-basic-1-step-looper-trims-and-loops-head-pins-and-eye-pins-in-1-easy-step/JST578?rrec=true?mcid=XSOjsyt

    What do you do if you dont have wire looper

    • @BigHenFor
      @BigHenFor 5 лет назад +1

      Round nose or step bail pliers and do a basic loop. If using round nose pliers, mark the size of loop on the noses, so you wrap consistently sized loops.
