I have wondered how to predetermine wire length for years. Thanks for telling how you do that. Is it possible to do a video on just that~determining lengths for necklaces~bracelets~anklets?
Also~ do these simple bracelets need to be annealed/pickled? I'm so a newbie but want to learn THE RIGHT WAYS from the start. I feel you might be the one to teach me/us. Thanks so much in advance.

Thank you very very much for your tutorials. You’re very easy to follow along. Thank you for that I am just wondering what kind of a hole punch you are using to punch in your wire is it just a regular hole punch? Everybody uses to punch holes in paper? I tried finding a link to buy your whole punch, but I couldn’t find it thank you thank you very much.

I love adding bling or gemstones ! I’m new to wire bending so I get a little to much wire wrapped around the object , then I don’t like it ! But you always give measurements and it works out perfect or I’m a perfectionist and don’t trust myself ! Lol
PS . Everything I’ve made of yours , I love ! Thank you for teaching and it looks like you really love what your doing! 🤟🏻❤️

Hi Would you recommend using gold filled wire to make hammer wire bangles? thanks

    • @JewelSchool
      @JewelSchool  3 года назад

Hi! Gold filled wire is a great option for someone who wants precious gold jewelry without the cost of solid gold. You run the risk of marring the plating when you hammer it, so just use your best judgement. You may want to hammer a small part of the wire as a test before making an entire project.

Hi Miriam! Beadalon makes a great bead reamer with an interchangeable tip. Then you can buy a wire rounding tip and change it out. Basically, you'll have two tools in one. @JewelSchool  3 года назад

Hi Terri! Unfortunately the 1-step looper will only loop wire from 18ga to 24ga. Susan uses 16ga in this particular project.Plus, you'll need to make a loop that is slightly bigger than what the 1-step looper or the big step looper can make, which is 1.5mm and 3mm, respectively. Susan is using the larger side of the acculoop plier, which at the smallest is about 5mm. The 12ga wire is a gold over sterling wire that is 2mm thick. The 22ga wire is a non-tarnish, gold colored parawire.

I love your tutorials and information. I have been looking for a battery wire rounder (at jtv, amazon, etc) and cannot find one. Can you please tell me the sku# or item # and where to find it. Thank you so much.

Hi Cheryl. The base part of the tool is actually the Beadalon Bead Reamer. The "wire rounder" is an attachment for the Blue Base Tool. They have multiple attachments for different wire gauges. I found it on Amazon.

How can we prevent wire from tarnishing

    • @JewelSchool

Hi! Over time, some jewelry pieces will gather grime with wear and some will even tarnish if proper care isn't taken. It's important to clean your finish pieces with a soft cloth that's made for cleaning tarnished pieces, but also you can use mild soap and warm water to gently clean your handmade jewelry. Also, most of the jewelry making wire used for these projects are tarnish resistant!

Here is a good cleaning cloth as well: www.jtv.com/product/4-ply-professional-cleaning-cloth-12-x-15-/JLC506?mcid=XSOjsyt
      Good luck!

Please tell me where you get those tools you use w/batteries?

Beadalon Bead Reamer on Amazon. Not sure where else they sell them. You need to buy the "Wire Rounder Attachment" separate. I've seen 2 for different wire gauges. Hope this helps.

Heyy, Can I make the bangles without the hammer thing and the thing that makes the ends rounder (sorry I forgot the names) or is it completely necessary for the finished look?

Hi Aranis! You need the hammer so you can flatten and punch the wire, but you can make it work without a wire rounder!
      Thanks for watching! - Susan

Local Stores like Michaels and Hobby Lobby have pre-holed nuggets to get started with.
