    • @nathanlarson6535
      @nathanlarson6535 2 месяца назад +6

Even with two trains it will still be a slow moving line. Guests take their sweet time getting off and getting on the ride. By the time a train is ready for dispatch the other one will have sat on the brake run for at least a minute (if not longer) waiting to advance into the station. And that's assuming everything goes perfectly, no other delays or slow downs of any kind. Separate load and unload stations would help quite a bit and possibly allow three train operations but unfortunately the brake run seems to be right over the midway so I'm not sure there's room for that.
Seems like a major oversight on behalf of park officials.

Canadas wonderland ride ops are slow at the best of times. Both the B@M coasters that have three trains usually have all three trains stacked to get into the load station. I agree they should have a third train but I bet they won’t get more than 480 people per hour on this coaster the lines are going to be brutal

Brandon, Canada's Wonderland is AMAZING. I think it's the most beautiful Cedar Fair park. The park's layout is also great. This coaster add's to the top 3 lineup, which might pave the way for one of the lower tier coasters' removal. My only complaint about Wonderland is the lack of food options for such a large park.
As for capacity, the ops at Wonderland are pretty good. At Leviathon, the ride ops take your hand held stuff and place them in the bins for you so you don't have to walk through the trains. This sooo speeds up the loading time (I wish they did that here in So Cal for Twisted Colossus to improve the dueling probability). Maybe Wonderland can get the peeps in and out fairly quickly. As for train reliability, West Coast Racers seems to be able to keep the trains in 3 train operation every time I have visited. So let's keep our fingers crossed.

8:01 I'm becoming convinced/concerned that Cedar Fair is intentionally not caring about capacity anymore on their rides to sell more Fast Lane passes. If you can save on not buying a 3rd train AND make people pay $20 to get a SUFL just to get on it.. That's an evil, but no-brainer win-win for them.

Great layout for a Premier! Worth noting this is Premier's 2nd longest coaster (after West Coast Racers) if you count the original BuzzSaw Falls length instead of the track S&S added for the Powder Keg conversion. Glad to see legacy Cedar Fair add a modern custom Premier launched coaster to make up for Canada's Wonderland missing out on Flight of Fear.
As for the station placement, I'm more disappointed they aren't building the entrance on the field next to Vortex than on the Xtreme Skyflyer site. My guess is they want the station closer to another major coaster like Leviathan so guests can disperse there when this coaster is too busy. Flight Deck and Time Warp will never eat up crowds no matter how busy AlpenFury gets.

I have some sad news for you in that regard. Premier dose make amazing coasters, but their trains are not the best. Their trains tend to be super tight especially in the very last row of each of the car. I am not bothered by this next part but some are and that is the shin gards their trains have. It’s not always the case but sometimes they have there comfort collers on their trains in wich are heavily hated, but this animation dosent show the comfort collers so maybe you don’t have to worry about that. As long as you can deal with tight small trains there coasters are realy good, however I only got to ride Sky Rocket at Kennywood I have seen there other coasters form other videos and they all look very good it’s mainly their trains that people dislike

My other complaint besides the capacity, and this is a bit of a nit pick but is still something I want to mention is the lack of airtime this ride has. It's very inversion heavy, which is fine but I wish they added in more hills to break up the inversions a bit better. This still looks like a really solid coaster, but more airtime would've made this even better imo.

Ride looks great... A couple concerns from my perspective:
    1. It's pretty short (I get that CW can't logistically have a long ride considering how congested the park is, but it's a shame)
    2. The ride sadly changes the beautiful view of the mountain. Ride enthusiasts may not prioritize this, but don't underestimate the importance of aesthetics when it comes to a theme park experience.
***Now then... can we FINALLY get rid of the shoulder, neck & head breaking tandem (Flight Deck & Time Warp)?!! Having been to 20 different theme parks in North America with over 125 different rollercoasters experienced, these two are among the WORST 10 I've ever been on! I've talked to park management about it and have encouraged family & friends who've been injured to keep the pressure on CW to get rid of these rides!

Tied for the most inversions still gives you the claim for most inversions right? Why specify launch?
Also, claiming two inversion out of that first element is really a stretch, but no more than Steel curtain doing the same thing on it's first element.

If this is the level of quality we get at Canada's wonderland and Kings Dominion for 2025... my expectations are (maybe for the worst) through the mountain for Kings Island's vortex replacement

Rcbd is gonna count that first inversion as 1 if the banana roll on Steel Curtain is counted as 1.

Having grown up with CW since its opening I’ve slammed it in recent years for being top heavy and then becoming a mid tier yawn fest of a park, hopefully this is a spark that catches fire across the park, looks incredible

I could understand slamming it prior to 2008 but Cedar Fair has supported massive investment in this park since they took control from Paramount (Behemoth $25 Million, Leviathan $28 million, Yukon Striker $25 million) and will continue to evolve.

Couldnt they have 3 trains if they just built and unload station or platform?
One train cycles, one is loading and the 3rd is unloading

They desperately need a mid-course brake run or separate load and unload stations to allow for 3 train operations. You have to fit more block sections on the layout somehow. Only having 2 trains is absolutely unacceptable for one of the biggest amusement parks in North America. The queue line will be at least a 90 minute wait even on slow days, and probably upwards of 3 hours on weekends. If one train has to be taken out of service for maintenance? You're only fitting maybe 300 people tops per hour. Now imagine if there were 1500+ people in that queue line because it's a new major coaster.
The layout looks very fun but those ride operators will have to work themselves to death just to keep the line moving an inch at a time, speaking from experience.

I think Canada’s wonderland should have fake snow on the mountain to have more detail because mountains have snow on the top, because one year when there was snow in wonderland there was snow on the mountain and it was much better to have snow on the mountain than just the mountain being bare.

The coaster layout is insane, but with those trains, i dont want to ride it. They are the most uncomfortable trains ive ever been on. Unless they change the restraints dramatically, its gonna be a no for me
