No one has ever done this song better than Bobby Hatfield, not even Elvis.
You can say that again
Agreed
Agreed!
Right on!
100% he is amazing and his vocal control is awesome.
Let's be honest - it's not just "white women". It's white women, black women, hispanic women, black guys, muslim guys....hell, it's everyone. This is literally a masterpiece.
So beautiful
Bobby is gorgeous. ❤
@@SueKay-rq1lr I am comfortable enough with my masculinity to say he's one good looking fella.
I agree. Women in general fall in love with them. I don’t like the title of this. It’s white, black, brown , yellow and alive and kicking women.
Nailed it!
No auto tune, live performance, angelic voice....Bobby Hatfield. NO ONE sings this better than him.
Agreed X1000
RIP Bobby Hatfield, although you've gone of this world, you left us one of the best version of Unchained Melody. Thank you for it.
I heard Roy Hamilton's version and held it up to all comers as the best, then I saw Bobby that Sunday night take that title!
@@sharon32652 EXACTLY
Bobby Hatfield. Still melting women's hearts into love puddles 60 years on.
I never get tired of these Unchained Melody reaction videos... If only Bobby was still around to see hisself being rediscovered...
Pure Vocals , no autotune. Real Musicians
Yeah
This man and the Righteous Brothers (together) are responsible for more children then a fertility clinic! 😂😂😂❤❤❤!
The iconic version of this song. No-one has done it better than Bobby......as women all over the world drooled over him at the time. Some still do.
You can say that again
When Bobby Hatfield sang, there wasn't a dry seat in the house. Both of them were perfectly matched to each other.
I liked al Hibblers version but this is also good.
Almost 60 years later and the magic still exists!
Yes, seriously
A lot of babies in the '60's were born because of this song !
Where are you?...lol
And then they grew up and made their babies to the voice of Luther Vandross
Who, in the Western World, get to be an adult without hearing and loving this song by the Righteous Bros.?
You can see them all fall in love with him as soon as the first notes come out of his mouth. Bobby Hatfield had one of the most amazing voices in history. That song is perfection
You can say that again
I think this is a clear indication what women want (their) men to look and sound like... Classy!
I was heading to war in Vietnam when this song came out. A lot of us young guys left our girls hoping they would wait for us. Mine stopped writing after 5 months and was engaged to another guy when I made it home 16 months later. I started life anew. Guess I am grateful for being alive. 58,000 did not. Semper Fi jarheads.
Thank you for your service ❤
Thank you for your Service, Marine 🫡 🇺🇲
Thank you for telling your story.
Thank you for telling your story
I'm glad you made it through. RIP to your fallen brothers.
This song has no barriers between races. Sometimes, perfection does that to people.
Bobby was unique, one of a kind. Besides being outrageously handsome, his pitch is insane. This song belongs to Bobby, noone has, or will do it better. He definitely puts you under a spell, and not with just this song, but every solo he does. For me, he was the voice of the Righteous Brothers and he is, and will always be, my favorite male singer!!
from better times!
Bobbie Hatfield's is the BEST version you will EVER hear.
Yes
Absolutely no one can sing this song like Bobby
Bobby was gifted by God and now sings amongst the Angels.
Beautiful
No he doesn’t - as gifted as he was he was empty within and was chasing fur answers thru drugs
Heaven is only achieved thru a relationship with Jesus Christ thru repentance and faith not of works so get real
Bobby Hatfield working his magic!! Watching women of many age groups swooning like 15 year old teeny boppers is an amazing thing to behold/ RNB
Thanks so much for watching 💗
Classy, charming, gorgeous, humble, talented beyond reason, and more women truly fell in love with him than any other...and still do to this day...almost 60 yrs later. That's pretty incredible. He was epic.
Wow, thank you!
@@ROYALTEHILLAHTVREACT You're very welcome. It's all true.
This is Bobbys song no one can perform it like him No One God Bless RIP Bobby 😣😣⛰
Bobby's singing on this tune brings a tear to my eye every time I hear it. I'm a 64 y/o man. Magnificent!
Beautiful
Totally agree he continues to mezmorize me when I listen to this song. Beautiful Beautiful voice.. his and only his.❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏RIP Bobby
If you honestly can say you "don't like" this version of Unchained Melody - you don't like music, period. Even if your thing is rap or hard rock, this song touches the soul.
Incredible, the reaction to Bobby Hatfield all these years later and still falling in love with him and his voice.
Ofcourse
The single most played song in Earths history.
The late Bobby Hatfield! I'm 74 years old, and I will never forget when these guys came out with their beautiful music in 1964. As teenagers, we fell in with their music and voices. They are so classic! RIP Bobby! We miss your awesome voice!!! ❤️❤️❤️
A line in this song is touching: “time can do so much… Are you still mine?” When this song was coming out, a lot of guys were in Vietnam, missing home.
Ah Bobby Hatfield, the greatest male singer in pop music - of any decade.
Also a wonderful humble person, as shown very clearly in this beautiful video. This live performance is actually even better than the record of it.
He is much missed by all those who loved him. RIP Bobby.
500 professional covers of this song and I have yet to hear one better than this.
A timeless classic that will never be performed better.
No one will ever sing this song like the late great Bobby Hatfield 😢😢
Nobody has ever had the voice like Bobby Hatfield
Great
Just imagine if these young women knew about the dancing.....I am 73 years old and have danced to this song since I was 15 years old...priceless!
Many singers have tried to emulate Bobby, but all have failed. This is his song: lock, stock and barrel!
This is, and will always be, Bobby's song.
This is the best slow dance song ever performed. Bobby Hatfield nailed it. I was 13 when this was performed. It has the same effect on my today as when I first heard it. There is no need to analyze it. Just pull your important person in your arms, close your eyes and get lost in it.
One of the most romantic songs ever written and recorded.
Many people have sung this song but no body has ever sung it quite like Bobby Hatfield.
Like Luciano Pavarotti singing Nessum Dorma, certain songs just become definitive to a certain artist/singer/musician. The Righteous Bros is the definitive version.
As someone born in the late 1950's, like many, I have had the opportunity to be around to hear the birth, growth, and sometimes decline of so many genres of music. For me, besides the great classical music of the past centuries, the greatest music has been that of the 1950's through the 1980's. So much of that music was created out of the hearts of the musicians and songwriters, and much of it is genuine, timeless, and beautiful. There has certainly been some good music created after that, but so much of it today is just canned, formulaic, and meant to sell, rather than coming from the soul of the artist.
It's good to see that the younger generations are looking back and discovering some of the best music ever created and performed from their parents and grandparents generations. It gives us depth and helps us all to understand the times the music was created in. Enjoy the journey and the discovery.
The girl talking bout dapper... you know that girl fell in love when he began...😂🥰
I wanted to try and find the original video of that one, Thats my favorite =)
the greatest live performance....of ANY song......ever.!!!
Yes children this is how babies were made in the 60's and 70's.
Some singers and songs just go together like peanut butter and jelly and Bobby and Unchained Melody is the perfect example.
back when music was beautiful
It's called talent . No auto anything.
I love the double take and awe with these women
Thanks
"My love...My darling I hunger for your touch..." Now add voice, slow soft tempo build into crescendo and be dapper at the same time...pied pipper of women everywhere...even when the women are sitting next to their men or decades later...this is what it looks like on display when women fall in love. Not aggressive but vulnerable and alluring, like the one guy said mesmerizing.
Righteousness!!!!
“The Righteous Brothers” are considered by most to be the Greatest Male Vocal Duo Of All Time. I agree. Between Bill Medley’s Lows and Bobby Hatfield’s Highs they can hit every note on a piano. No other male singers can do that. Legendary.
“You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feelin’’ was the most played song on radio in the 20th Century
"Unchained Melody" - Bobby Hatfield Live 1965 Andy Williams Show (with his mother sitting right behind him) Considered by most as The Greatest Live Male Vocal Performance In History... I agree. Bobby’s use of “Runs” is masterful. He created the style and set the table that all others have fed off of for decades. 7 notes just to say the word “I” is melodic brilliance.
Their name came from doing a show near a marine base in So Calif and a black marine said to them…. You two guys are Righteous Brothers.
In 1983, in Newport Beach O.C. Calif. Bill and Bobby at the Jolly Roger Restaurant . I was 13 feet away for... "Unchained Melody"- "You've Lost That Lovin Feeling" - "Soul And Inspiration".... They were perfect, awesome, amazing, incredible......
Thanks so much
In my opinion, they have competition, Simon and Garfunkel and Everly Brothers for instance.
@@bdoeden64 While I posted a comment the other day about Bobby and Billy, and mentioned several other male vocalists that were on my mom’s “playlist” during my formative years in the late ‘50s - early ‘60s - mostly in the crooner/jazz idiom - I think nominating or compiling a list of “greatest” of anything is a bit of a fool’s errand. Paul Robeson, Luciano Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Joe Williams, Gregory Porter, Billy Eckstine, Freddy Mercury, etc are the first few names that pop into mind who have equally impressive catalogs. Now, having a great natural vocal gift doesn’t necessarily make for a talented singer, or admirable human being.
This was a wonderful performance for sure, and they may well have been delightful people, but I think to declare this the best live vocal ever is myopic at best.
@@fonkenful I didn't say in the comment you are responding to, and don't think I have ever said, let alone thought, that any given performance is 'the best ever' - as there are so many different subjective criteria. I apologize if I did post something I don't remember, or if I misunderstood your point. Perhaps you were trying to respond to the original commenter (AliasMark69)? My comment was meant to point out to AliasMark69 that RB weren't the only trick in town, that they DID have competition.
@@bdoeden64 To be honest, I’m not sure where exactly in the stream of comments to videos of this performance I read that.
If you've ever been in love this song touches something deep inside and and you can't help but feel a reaction. I've heard other singers try to sing it but nobody even Elvis Presley could ever do it justice, to me it will forever be Bobby Hatfield's song.
Bobby Hatfield, knocking panties to the floor and getting paid to do it. This guy is as smooth as they come and the only relationship counselor you need. Rest in peace Bobby, and thanks. 😜
Thank you too
When Bobby sung this song he had a cold but you could not tell it. Beautiful singing
SUBLIME for ever .....HE BOBBY OWNS THIS FOREVER ON EARTH AND IN HEAVEN....i saw and heard this song live in 1965.
Wow... Thats great
If I were granted one wish, it would be to be able to create physical and mental feelings in women as much as this song does. I think I could live with that.
🤓
It makes it all the more amazing that Bobby said he was dealing with a cold in the performance and he was, if I’m not mistaken signing in front of his mother. So he was super nervous.
Wow!
Every generation has a one of singer, Bobby is a one of, for a century, maybe more. Who can you compare him to?
There isn't any men today that have that heavenly voice
And to see these women just fall in love with this song
You can see their hearts melt
Women need more songs like this
Smiles
I'm a straight dude and I fall in love with with this song. Haha.
Barry White also knew how to reach women in that special place with his music!
Dreamboat Bobby knew how to serenade. He sings To You and reaches your heart. Thank you Bobby Hatfield RIP you are missed.
You are welcome
This was from the Andy Williams Show in 65. Live performance, live studio audience, live orchestra.
Awesome
A TV soundstage specially designed by Andy Williams' sound techs for live performances. It's why the Brothers chose it to obtain this live recording.
I have watched a lot of reactions to this particular live performance. It's a very emotional song. It really very strongly affects women, and there are factors that came together that produced just the right triggers. Like Bobby Hatfield's appearance, the composition, his style, the quality of his voice, etc. There is much hands on chest and gasping, open mouths, cheek holding and crying. Something about it just checks all the boxes. It's amazing.
All of us men wish we could do that to a woman.
This is how we treated your grandmothers in their time. What fantastic memories.
One of the great live performances of all time. Still blows us away 50 years later.
Bobby Hatfield and Bill Medley were from my neck of the woods in Anaheim, California. It was lucky for everyone that they ended up together.
Awesome
Hatfield was from Madison ,Wisconsin
A bit disappointed we didn't get to see the reactions of these ladies for the incredible ending of Bobby's version of this amazing song...
You can watch full videos on their channel
Not a "bit" but a "big" disappointment in the shortness of the clips.
@@paulmoniodis1212 okay, i will redo it ... Is that okay by you
Doesn't happen often but.... take a seat elvis!
I was a teenager and it’s good to know that Bobby Hatfield can still touch hearts.
The really amazing thing is this was the theme from a B movie and the Andy Williams show wasn't a very popular variety show, but this is the quintessential version of this song. In another ten thousand years this will still be the greatest version ever.
This girl had so much feeling and soul. I was in Vitnam in 1965 when this came out
Everyone was thinking about their girlfriends. I'm 89 now and never forgot those moments. Thank you Bobby Hadfield
And yes everyone will say it. There was no Autotune going on then. It didn't exist.
A música romântica mais linda de todos os tempos 💘😍🎵🎶
The song was actually written 10 years before Bobby Hatfield's version for the movie, Unchained. Todd Duncan sang it in the film and it was recorded by various artists since.
Hnmm .... Beautiful
Bobby was the best,simply said
Beautiful
That was very interesting. Every single one of the women was HOOKED in the first 3 seconds and owned at the first crescendo. Some of them looked like they were in shock by the end.
Yes
Women reacting to this always makes me smile. As the song plays I'm convinced that to 99% of them, nobody else exists and Bobby is singing directly to them.
...and yes I think it would be hilarious to see one of the women in a non solo reaction go batshit insane about halfway through the song and go full UFC on her unsuspecting friend while screeching "HE'S MINE!!!!!!!"
Poor girl was hypnotized by blue eyes and never had a chance.
🤣🤣🤣
Yep, I know I'm evil.
Girl fights are brutal!
😝
😀😀😀😂
If you ever want win the heart of a woman, play this song.. Every woman, really all woman are going to melt.. 😅
He is mesmerising!
Sure
There's an Italian musical term that perfectly pertains to this song's soulful delivery by Mr. Hatfield: LEGATO.
Thank you for including us in your compilation 😊
It's my pleasure... 💗💗🥰❤️
I stumbled across your reaction to Tom Jones and looked at others you have done. I commented about David Blunt getting you emotional in Monster, only to find out you had reviewed it already. I like your posts keep posting. I need to get round to looking at all of your list of videos to track down the Blunt, Monster reaction.
@@pauldavis6390 thank you so much
I was born in the 60s and most of my influence comes from the 50s, 69s and 70s. Music influence your behavior. Since dancehall and rap the emotions of us women have changed from been kind and gentle to frustration, masculine aggression. I have never seen a time as this and we need to bring back these beautiful music so it can have a positive energy on this generation.
Pure Talent
THANK 👍 YOU FOR TAKING ME BACK TO MY HAPPY EPOCA ❤😢😮😭🥺🥹😭
Remember, prior to 2000 except for instrument inhalers, there was nothing to alter the voice. If something was done vocally, there was only your voice.
Sixty years on, and Bobby Hatfield still gets 'em wet.
But let's be honest here - he could've been singing the recipe for potatoes au gratin, and had the same effect.
Sung live in 1965,..... No electronic correction devices.
The way he (we) vantrickulated every fiber of his being through his voice indelling sound waves the very fiber of his feelings of emotion capitalizing on his unfading love with tenderness gives effortless power of electricity which energizes a person to want more and to share in giving the whole world the same endless journey everyone needs to endure Love in TIME,,,, Forever.....
Thanks
The most romanitic movie of all time gousts...luvin it.. soo sweet...
So amazing... Thanks so much for watching
Top shelf stuff. Ecopolitia!
They don’t make singers like this anymore, I feel honeyed to of been born in this time.
Okay
This song is special because it speaks to the heart. The song speaks to all people, but I did noticed all the ladies enjoyed the song and singer.
Song was written by a man locked away in a prison. Madly in love.
I grew up with this music very romantic makes you dream of romance ,all women love this ❤
He was the male Karen Carpenter. Interesting fact. He had to register his voice as a potential weapon. He could make womens knickers explode with barely any effort.
Back to my teens slow dancing
Beautiful
hhahahahahahaaa, I love the 4:15 point of the video when the Indian Man says: "So soothing it is!" ......... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Bobby is totally responsible for 30% of the u .s population, a perfect family making song, MASTERPIECE.
He melts EVERY woman that listens to this ....
first time watching you. love your reaction. This video is timeless and Master Class.
If there was ever a song that can cast a spell...it is this one.
Back in the day we were leaving their show and I said the applause was deafening and she said that the applause was loud but all the panties hitting the stage was louder lol maybe lol
Lolz
