Your version of making clarinet reeds looks so much easier than remedial. If I thought I could locate the tools I would pursue this as a retirement hobby/biz, It looks like fun. Of course, you could someone to remake the tool that has been discontinued but you would need to make a change so you did not have issues with the patent . Maybe ghe patent has expired?
Gostei muito do vídeo, poderia por favo me dizer quais as ferramenta preciso para fabrica minha própria palheta também sou músico de sax tenor porém gostaria de aprender a arte de fazer palheta .....
Working at a non-hurried pace, taking my time and making sure I do each step correctly, a reed from start to finish takes something like 12-13 minutes.
Hi Patrick, in this video I am using a RPM 68 Reed Profiler. However, upon getting ready to post this video I learned that they are no longer in production! I am not sure if this is temporary due to current world circumstances, or if permanent. It’s a shame either way!
I was a reedual guy for years and might bring it back sometime. The tools you use are different, but the length of the blanks is completely the same as what I used. Your video are awesome by the way.
@@patrickmaples1147 Thanks for the kind words! I've never had the chance to try the reedual, but I know a lot of people who use it! Up until this video all of my reed tools had been sitting in a box too due to the pandemic!

Hello, what is the diameter of the bamboo?
I think it’s reeds, like the stuff you find at ponds? I’m not quite sure exactly though
What machine are you using?
