I think for the price you can’t fault it. It’s definitely improved with the added solar panel. I’ve a trail cam, similar quality to this one, but it does burn through batteries rather fast. Definitely worth the price. You can really see the change in the season now. All the best to you. Andy
I think that the trail camera appears to be well worth the price that you would pay for it. My feeling is that when you are putting cameras out in the wilderness unattended, there is a pretty good risk that someone might see it and take it. That would be much less painful to the owner if it could be replaced with another inexpensive camera instead of facing that you might have lost an expensive one. A sensible purchase on this one I think. Thanks for showing it to us Sandy and also thanks for giving us your initial thoughts on it. See you on the next one.
I shall get one of those Sandy. Never really thought about it. Some creature is eating my pond fish. Might now solve the mystery. Thank you very much indeed.
That's a great trail camera Sandy. I picked up a trail camera at the start of the year to film the hedgehogs in my garden. Going into the hedgehog house and feed station house. Wish i got a solar trail camera after seeing this video.
You can time and sate stamp by holding a card in front as you set it up. Or does it have this feature? Combined on a house garage or tree, with a motion sensor alarm or light it really would be helpful. We had a bear go through the garbage one night. This would have helped to know time, size of bear, etc.
New Sub here, after watching you video I decided to buy one from Amazon and give it a got. There is something in my shed munching on my bird food... so I thought id have a look to see if I can snap it and see what it is. Love the video, Looking forward to watching more of your content. Thanks
Well, for the price, I think it is a good pick! As with everything, the more money you spend the better it is. I guess it is all about what you are using it for (i.e. seeing how busy a game trail is and what is using it). I have never used one, so I am speaking from a beginners point of view :) Stay safe and healthy my friend!
Hiya Sandy 18th is Looming 🤫 🍻 As for the camera sandy after reading all your viewers response ,, picture quality fair to middlam ,sound quality uhmm unless your up close ,, Features solar / time loop & price not a bad product for a first time purchase 👍🥃
Ey up Sandy 👍… The camera is as you say nothing to write home about… but the images and videos are good quality… I think it is priced perfectly for what you get…. I have recently purchased a very similar one from Campark it was double the price… to be fair it is better in lots of ways…. But the thing with these cameras is are you willing to loose them…. The camera you have is easier to gamble with…. Great video Sandy … Fantastic channel…👍👍👍
Coincidentally I bought one of these a few days ago, just to update my old camera. I now have evidence of lots of mice activity in my garden when a week ago I didn't even know I had mice. Perhaps more impressively from the cameras perspective I've already captured a video of the cat that lives in my garden taking out a couple of the mice - the old camera could not have done this. Not sure how well the solar aspect will work in the winter so I put some cheap rechargeable batteries in just in case. Having used a promotion code on a very obvious website I only paid £33.59 - which is absolutely crazy. I would describe the picture quality as fair to good - but relative to the price it's excellent.
A very helpful and entertaining review Sandy. Especially as I have been looking to replace my 3 year old Victure 12MP wildlife camera that eats the 8 x AA rechargeable batteries and has an awkward to use rear facing control panel and screen. How much use the solar battery top up function will be here in North East Scotland I don’t know 😁, but at £43.30 with the 5% Amazon code, I have given it a go. Thanks.
Well that was really cool. I think it did a pretty good job. I do like getting to see the wildlife acting normal and unafraid. I have a couple deer that I see about every other morning and evening and wild turkeys that travel through with they're young. I don't allow any hunting on my land so they feel safe but I have thought about investing in a camera. I think it would be handy in many ways. Dwayne
Looks like it's good value for the money, and if there's a chance something could be stolen, it's better that it wasn't very expensive in the first place. Might be good to set one up in my woods. I know there are fallow, roe and muntjac deer there.
Definitely worth investing in a couple of these Steve and positioning them at strategic points, the solar panel will keep the camera topped up and you can even set the camera to loop record and use it as a security camera
I just got this for £33 in the sale I'm happy for the money I think the megapixel is exaggerated. I had a cheap 12mp trail camera & the photos are almost as good. Still a good camera & the solar panel is a very big plus
Daytime only camera. Yes? Seen some interesting night time videos...mount on second level of home. Deterrant just because its there, as well as records who has been on property, or traffic. Could be hidden. Nice, affordable. And did you say it lasts about five years ?
I've had the camera set up as a security camera on loop recording mode. It's been out for 2 weeks and still 100% battery charge so the little solar panel is doing a good job at keeping the battery topped up
@@WiltshireMan ok. This was a great video. I'm not tech savvy. I'm not sure what loop recording is. I can guess. It recycles. Unless you see evidence of some animal chewing the rose bush or a break in you don't check it. Too bad it can't be a flash drive or hardwired to a computer or telephone. It's cheap and does the job. There are others such as video door bells but not sure if solar, and easy to rip off the house unless well hidden. I think you might continue these types of videos. How to site them how to hide in bird nest or feeder. What it's like as the seasons change. Thanks!!!!
Solar isn't going to be as effective under tree's but in this video it was still in tree's and only lost 1% of charge over 5 days. Quality could be better but you have to remember it's very cheap, they all seem to fit low quality sensors and lens to a lot of these cheaper trail camera's
Looks like a good value piece of kit, with the added bonus of a solar panel. My old one does not seem to want to record any more, so this might make a good replacement. Incidentally, what’s the maximum size memory card it can take?
How long does ittake to fill a card? As I write this you begin to explain, thanks. Five days n nights. Great. Still charged. Great. Di you use rechargable back up batteries and woukd this recharge them too, or not?
Not so long ago, our branch at the Wilts & Berks Canal Trust voted to get one, but as of yet, I haven't acted upon it. Wish I had.... as we had a dumping last month, oh well. Anyhow looks just the job! Maybe the company could do the charity a deal? Anyhow, great test and good results. I liked the set up display functionality, very good 👍✅💯 great review
Hi i dont have a computer only a android phone. I wanted to watch the footage i recorded back on my phone but dont know how to do it? Can you help pls?
Hello, I ordered one and would like to buy a SD card (with no issue) , so please could you precise which SD card you have, about memory size : 32 GB or more ? , speed : 90MB/S ? class 10 or less , U 1 or 3 ? thanks
i need to send you my Garmin unit and have you do a box opening, its only 15 years old, still in the box from a present someone thought it was a good idea. to complicated for me. not good with setting things up if there is not video for me to follow. thank the YT gods for me to fix everything.
Not too bad. I have not used one before. The solar panel works and if it had been made to look like a bird box it would be even better.
That would be a great disguise
Thank you very much for the review video.🥰Hope you enjoy our iG220 solar trail cam!
Good value for the money. The added bonus of a solar panel is great idea.
The built in battery and solar charger do certainly work
Thank you for sharing your video! Thank you for the review. Cheers!
Amazing what they can make for £49! Brilliant!
Wow looks good camera. All the best to you all.

Thanks Andy, yes the seasons are changing fast. It will soon be Winter and Hot tent time:)
Looks a good camera Sandy. You did an excellent job of explaining the workings of the camera. Thank you and Stay Safe.
Thanks John
Great footage of the muntjac. Worth it just for that. Great vid Sandy.
Thanks ob, I also thought it was a joy to see the Munty at the end:)
Excellent picture quality. Your videos are always so interesting and varied 👍
Thanks Lindsay, I always try to give my viewers a nice video to watch, I appreciate you viewing and commenting. Thanks:)

A premium trail cam can cost over 4 times as much Terry
It got 50% discount now on Amazon😀
You could put it on one of your trees to protect your back garden & workshop! 😁👍
It would make a good security camera especially with the loop recording and solar charger
Good entry level trail cam there Sandy, thank you for the review.
Thanks Les, for what it costs I think it's OK
Very good sandy keep up the great videos 👍
Thanks Richard
Alas we have a fly tipping problem along my favourite quieter cycle routes so this might come in handy. 👍
Mine after 5 years doesnt want to play any more so Im going to send for one like yours Sandy....Looks really good value for money....
Can’t go too far wrong with that for the price. Thanks for the review Sandy.
Thanks Neil
Quiet impressive for the money I like the solar panel on top as batteries can be expensive I would be happy to own one👍
This is by far the cheapest camera to run Chris:)
I shall get one of those Sandy. Never really thought about it. Some creature is eating my pond fish. Might now solve the mystery. Thank you very much indeed.
Thanks for the video 👍🏻
Nice review, thank you.
Good vid thanks.

The solar panel really does keep the battery topped up Daz
@@WiltshireMan That's great Sandy I will look at picking one up. As i am charging the battery every 2 nights on this trail camera i have.
Actually £59.99 on Amazon now Sandy, but still looks good value for money.

For what it is Dan for the price it is OK, not hollywood quality though:)

Yes getting on in years now Martin but I still feel like I'm in my 20's :) I agree the camera is fair to middlam :)
The best thing about it is perhaps the solar charging. Thanks for the review.
That function sure works well, I think they have cheap lens and sensors though which is a shame

Thats a worthwhile consideration Robert, they can go walkies:)

The quality didn't look spectacular, but for the price and the added bonus of a solar panel to trickle charge, it seems a great entry level cam
I bought this camera well worth the money, I used it for my pest control business

I would agree sandy, I think for the price that was not too bad 🥰👍♥️ you still got your garden fox ? And still feeding ?
There are atleast 3 different fox's feeding in my garden this year, I don't know if any of them are the cub from last year though?

Hi Chloe and Peggy Sue, this camera would certainly capture fly tippers. How dreadful, what sort of people do that sort of thing!
Hi i dont have a computer only a android phone. I wanted to watch the footage i recorded back on my phone but dont know how to do it? Can you help pls?

It's probably out of date now, tech moves on fast
@@WiltshireMan I hope paper and pen don't move on that quick! Lol
Not great image quality but for the money not bad and if it goes missing it's not the end of the world
pretty much my thoughts too
Is it Chinese, Sandy?
Probably, nearly everything in this sector has something from China in it
Foo.
Not bad but was expecting a bit more. Sound was a bit poor but for the price it’s okay.
You have to feed this little fox better, it is so skinny...!
