I have only ever used brute force in an Ant-Man deck that relied on events that did damage based on your total attack. He could swing for 6-9 with each. The rest of the time he was in another form and/or thwarting. It was highly effective in multiplayer, but trash solo.
Despite being a justice player for a long time, I almost never included sense of justice because there were a strangely limited number of cards to which it applied.

I love using Hawkeye Aggression with Brute Force with smash the problem and etc, then only attacking with his arrows.

Hawkeye definitely seems like a better fit.

Yes, Brute Force Arrows is still a decent build for him even with the expanded card pool.

I sometimes use cards like Brute Force for Spider Woman --just to get another cheap aspect card to trigger her hero ability, then you get an additional +1 to THW, ATK, and DEF. Sense of Justice is POWER --Scarlet Witch / Justice used it in our 4-player game the other night, and basically handled 90% of the threat. At one point, we all flipped to Alter Ego, and Wanda had all the threat cleared in two rounds.

There aren't many non identity cards that provide you piercing keyword. The alternative is Piercing strike event.
Brute Force can stay as long as you don't use basic attack, meaning that if you are anticipating an enemy with Tough than it can be super useful.
During the Hela scenario both cards were very useful to me in dealing heavy minions that start with Tough.

Brute Force is ONLY good if you’re running a non-basic attack build to combo with cards like quick strike, smash the problem and the best defense. Otherwise, you’re better off running piercing strike which essentially does the same thing but for 2 more damage (1 more cost) and it’s a physical resource so it can be used to help trigger Drop Kick, Jarnbjorn, Surprise Strike, and pretty much all the physical kickers in aggression.

Sense of justice is the best card in it's cycle and will be until we get a justice version of honed technique. Brute force may someday have a place if we get more events that care about your heroes ATK without making them use their basic attack.

I wonder if cards like Brute Force and the 2 basic cards from yesterday could be fixed by a hero that had some kind of ability that made upgrades come back to your hand when you would discard them from play. So you could recur things like this. And obviously, said hero would have some relevant upgrades in their hero kit too.
But yeah, other than that, I'll never play Brute Force.
