Here's a question for yall more experienced dads. This video hits on mental strength. Four days ago I decided to get my lazy tail up and decided to exercise. I'm ashamed to say it's been a few years! I woke my 14 and 12 year old boys up and we took off running. The older took off like a rabbit. Me and the younger didn't see him again until he was on his way back from the 1 mile marker. So he picks us up and we finish together. On the way back home we stop here and there to knock out some push-ups. Me and the older suck it up. The older is naturally an athlete and loves it so its nothing to push through for him. The old Marine in me tells my body that I'll die before I quit in front of my 2 boys. The younger son just fusses and half-butts it and wants to quit. Soooo... How do you teach that type of mental toughness? I mean the older boy I can just tell him nobody cares that you're hurting(outta love) and he sucks it up and makes it happen. We all know not all kids are the same. So any suggestions?!

What’s going on, bro? Fellow father here with a 16-year-old 13-year-old and very similar dynamics. The younger one is tge athlete the other could care less. Thing is you have to find out what they like but you also just have to go through the motions and do it. Men young men they learn from examples so by leading by example by pushing through by doing it, it will unfold naturally through daily habits. The younger one will follow soon. Just be the leader that you are naturally. I’m retired army. Don’t hold that against me lol. But the fact remains you’re only strong as your weakest link. Not saying your son is the weakest link. Just saying you keep pushing he’ll keep pushing stay strong.
      You got this !

My baby boy is 28 years old. I'm a Marine as well. Just set examples. You don't need to be perfect. Just always be they for them. Try to make good choices in front of them.

Physical health is not easy for me. Not one bit.
It's been a while, I even unsubbed from your channel, it just felt like the same BS. Jiu jitsu this jiu jitsu that......but seeing that you're showing your face more is good. Mental health is hard for me as well, not because anyone is against me but because I am against myself.
