It looks like you were one of the few early release creators who were playing the new game instead of trying to play CS1. After all the bad news about the game today, this made me feel like I still would want to play it. I'd like to see more street level video about how people are using the city.
It's a good game but the performance issues lock a good amount of people out of playing. When they optimize it and even add DLSS or FSR to the game I expect it to be a great successor to CS1.
i bought it and we definetly worth, alll the additions are amazing! No money to terraform, money is way easier to come by now when you get to each level making it more fun as you dont go bankrupt right away to start. This game is very fun, the performance needs to improve but the devs have already said that is what they are currently working on.@@Invincable84
I think I have watched this video around 10 times already, always pausing and rewinding to see if I have missed anything! I love how simple and efficiently you explain your techniques to build a realstically feeling city! I would love for you to continue this series and expand on Southport a bit more! I always struggle with setting up proper districts, downtown, suburbs, etc. This is so helpful. Absolutely going to go through the rest of your videos. Thank you so much!
Thank you so much for this video, I've been stuck in my old ways of CS1 by griding out the entire city. Your idea of using the grid tool to make several grids and connecting them really helps escape the urban hell I've been used to, and helps me make the best cities i can dream of
Didn't expect to be laughing so much in this video. Not only are you a genius at making these cities, but you're quite funny too! Great video man, keep em coming.

@@davidrymwar5812 Exactly, these people are clueless if they think Europe has better countries. You are taxed to death over there, and healthcare is very poor. Look at the teeth of most brits for example.
I have the fix, it's dirty and it doesn't look as slick but it does work. So get to the point where you've terraformed the sea up to the very edge of the road, go until you cant get any closer, now instead of the next step of rebuilding out the terrain from the roads, instead delete road sections one or two at a time, and now get your alley or road turn off all snapping and build where the old road was, or until you see the wall section on one side and it'll allow you to make the quay. Rinse and repeat as you get close to the existing roads. It's finnicky and sometimes requires a little and I mean a LITTLE terraforming but it does work. It isn't as neat and precise either since it's not snapped to a grid but this will get it done for you. Make sure your road height is set to 2.5
Very happy youre doing this tutorial. My biggest problem is expanding the city and dont get repetetive with the grids and neighborhoods. Keep up the awesome CS2 content!
This is a CS1 problem. In CS2... pick a new spot on the map and buy a few tiles. Start something new. Then allow development to fill in between naturally

I think the port should be towards the top of the Island, in the open seas. This way it would be a deep sea port, be near to the shipping lane and cargo ships would not have to divert that much to dock at the port.
idk i think it's pretty realistic to have the harbor be in there. You'd always want calm seas at your port to ease docking and departure maneuvers, and in case of storms, you'd want to avoid damages to the infrastructure. Is it okay to let industrial or commercial zone demands stay high for a bit? I'm struggling with staying profitable, and was wondering what would happen if I didn't zone so frequently and let it kind of sit.
Whenever I try to make a port like you did around min 19, when I try to place the outer alleys, the ones next to the water to get the wall look, it says "In water" and won't let me place like you did, any idea how to fix that? Thank you
i cannot figure how to do what you're doing at 12:30. When I select grid mode, after my first click it always wants to connect the grid to the main road
I really like how you think about a story of the place here. I've been trying to do that with a British type city that has a mix of German, Norse, Franc, Saxon, Norman, Angle, Celt and Roman influence. Especially with naming. Helps that there's random bridges and ruins around the map or little farms, is that just when doing European theme? But I'd never considered a lot of these simple tricks.
I love how this guy is constantly ripping on Americans 😂 and he’s spot on with the oversized SUV even if you’re just a family of 3 . I was having some issues getting used to CS2 so this definitely helped !
How did you remove the traffic lights? I have tried right click etc but it doesn’t seem to remove them? Curious what did you there! Truly awesome video!
The industrial island can be an interesting project. Some electricity facilities and water treatment plants could be so nice, and the island could fit them properly. I already love this building style, this series will be interesting. Good job so far!!

Thanks for the pre road idea, great to help guide your layout.
Love the build thanks.
Makes sure your road height is set to 2.5
that intersection at 0:41 looks amazing, road building is one of the most exciting features of CS2 I cannot wait to try tomorrow
>move into new town
>instantly upzoned and has to move out
Id definitely watch one of these again 👍
Is it okay to let industrial or commercial zone demands stay high for a bit? I'm struggling with staying profitable, and was wondering what would happen if I didn't zone so frequently and let it kind of sit.
I love the constant accurate disses of America hahaha
I'll just wait for the Harbor DLC. I really can't get the sweet spot with this method. But great video though, looking forward to more.
I love how much you are throwing shade at America, so unexpected and funny😂
Huuuuge support to you on the brink of a new chapter!! 😊
I love how this guy is constantly ripping on Americans 😂 and he’s spot on with the oversized SUV even if you’re just a family of 3 . I was having some issues getting used to CS2 so this definitely helped !
I would like to see how to make good profit in a realistic city. I am really struggling with making profit while also detailing a lot
I love you taking shots at USA cities and services haha
How did you remove the traffic lights? I have tried right click etc but it doesn’t seem to remove them?
Curious what did you there!
Truly awesome video!
Using roads as terraforming guides! 🤦♂️ why didn’t I think of that!! Oh man I gotta start my entire city over after seeing this lol
The industrial island can be an interesting project. Some electricity facilities and water treatment plants could be so nice, and the island could fit them properly. I already love this building style, this series will be interesting. Good job so far!!
I'm not even 10mins in and already I see everybody's got the same idea about poop water...
_YOU SHOULDN'T DRINK IT!_
Apparently _MY_ citizens were on to something! 🤣
I actually think that is a great city hall! I think a lot of cities have a morgue with a crematorium in the city hall. Great building!!
Great video! 👍
