Meow Meow The difference with GoT, is it spread by word of mouth. It was a very natural build up in popularity. I remember halfway through season 2, I only knew a few people watching, then by season 3 most people were streaming the first two, to catch up. Sadly, the quality of writing, has dipped since they got so far ahead of the existing Books, going into material, that is still unwritten.
I've noticed that the super "everyone loves this" stuff is shit I'm never even remotely interested in. If I do opt to watch something like that, the overhyping makes me expect more from it but then I end up thinking it was mediocre or absolutely sucked.

Dont take it as a bad thing. A lot of couples do even if they are in a good relationship. It just away to communicate better, while having a professional give advice.
that episode was one of the worst episodes in a long time prove me wrong. There was no battle strategy against a vastly bigger army the sacrificed the dothraki army for no reason and watched them all die. they fought beyond the fire pits instead of doing more defence of the castle, they had like 1 fire pit...........
@@rjgrafixss it had cool scenes like jon vs the night king or dany and the night or arya and the night king, but they also said fuck the azor ahai prophecy and made arya kill the night king, i also don't think the hound would've bitched like that since he fought against the white walkers before. The way they tried to handle such a big army by attacking them head on made literally no sense. The writing for this show was probs the worst its been in a long time, no logic whatsoever.
Why were the dothraki given metal swords in the first place? They had no idea Melissandra was gonna come. Everything about this last episode sucked. Can not believe a lot of people liked it. Really shows the intelligence of most people.
I wouldn't go as far as saying it was the worst episode but the battle of the bastards so far was the best one... Tbh the episode being too dark didn't bother me at all
I watched in 4K in the dark , and it looked like shit. The pixels were compressed because it was streamed from the cloud it may have been fine from the producers side however hbo would shorten the file to get less lag when it goes live. No excuse though they should have done a better job and prepared for this, other shows have had this problem and it’s looked fine in pitch black (daredevil a good example).

Nikki loves GoT as much as Steve loves water. The more you try to make her watch, the more she won't watch. Drink water Steve! (let's see where this goes)
Ice king the most underwhelming villan since the cat burgler :(. He had the potential to be one of the greats and they wrote a battle that made no sense strategically. Just a sad ending to a 7 season build up.

I’m sorry but you guys are blind GoT fans, season 8 episode 3 was terrible Arya killing the night king was a terrible decision, the night king and the white walkers didn’t even do anything, Jon who was supposed to be the prince that was promised didn’t even fight the night king which would’ve been a much better death for the night king, Jon didn’t do anything the entire episode which completely wasted the prophecy and makes Jon’s resurrection meaningless, the night king was hyped up for 7 seasons and he is defeated with one hit and it wasn’t even Jon that killed him, the show runners said that they chose Arya to kill him because it was for shock value which is terrible writing, 7 seasons of hyping up the white walkers and they are defeated in ONE episode, the night king never even unsheathed his sword, this episode was the biggest disappointment in GoT history and if you loved this episode then you’re a blind fan and you have no idea what good storytelling is
The episode was a mess. Battle strategy didn't make any sense. Dothraki died for nothing. They knew had a smaller army and didn't come up with a good plan.
David just because Twitter was praising the episode doesn’t mean everyone liked it... I would say it was a shock factor fueled period of time right after the episode where people were left in awe at what they just saw, and with all the action it was easy for some people to say it was “awesome”... but after it all wore off everyone realized how shit it actually was. Every thrones focused channel was talking about how bad the episode was... even channels that didn’t cover game of thrones were saying it was shit. The subversion of expectations was akin to that of the last Jedi... trash episode.
My_Damn_Username but did you watch it while High? It was intense but the 2nd time I watch it it wasn’t a episode where you can watch on and on like battle of the bastard.
So I’m gonna mention some spoilers on the episode. Episode was pretty disappointing, though. There weren’t as much consequences as there should’ve been, the Night King was wasted, his captains were wasted, there was nothing learned about the Night King, some very dumb decisions were made (such as sending the Dothraki alone into the darkness), neither sides plan or strategy made much sense, and it was a bit predictable. Seemed too easy for them to win without Cersei’s army when they made it seem like there was little to no chance of winning the battle without it. So many more characters should be dead and the only reason they’re alive is obviously plot armor. Something the show was known for not having but now not so much.
I always watch GoT in a pitch black room like 2 feet from my screen. Didn’t see what people were complaining about now, didn’t realize it was meant to be watched in a dark room. Can’t wait for tomorrow’s episode tho!
I recall an article where it was said that one of the producers/directors wanted it dark to create the sense of the night king's winter storm. You go beyond the wall and there is an area called the lands of always winter and it is always dark.
I have literally watched and am watching about 40+ SHOWS NOT MOVIES THAT ANOTHER SUBJECT and I have a very good memory I can remember character very well But when it come to stuff like Test or what I ate yesterday I don’t remember shit
I think people keep saying the first two seasons are hard to get through because a regular season of any other show is usually 22 episodes, while the 22nd GoT episode is in S3.
Not just that the latest episode was dark it was the Most Disappointment episode ever! Who else besides me was disappointed of how fast the Night King died, I was expecting Jon Snow to have a battle with the Night King and his Generals at least, they hyped the Night King and the White Walkers throughout the whole 8 seasons just to see him die by Arya instantly!
My personal opinion: (Warning: Spoilers) - Getting into it was easy. Right from episode 1 I was hooked. - It is very hard to follow though. I didn't notice Theon until he went to the iron islands so I had no idea who he was at the beginning and his relation to the Starks. And it wasn't until I went back a 2nd time that I even paid attention to characters like Renly, Ser Davos, Roose Bolton, Oberyn, any of Jon's Nightwatch brother's besides Sam, and Lancel Lannister. I had no idea Robert's nervous servant from season 1 was the same guy from the faith militant in season 6. And Roose Bolton was just 'the guy who looks like Stannis but isn't Stannis'. -Personally I didn't have any issues with it being too dark but I watched it in a dark room, on a large-ish computer screen, on Foxtel, not HBO. So I dunno. - It's not as bad now as some people say it is, but it has gone downhill to an extent. The Battle of Winterfell was actually quite underwhelming and had some plot holes. Theon's death was kinda dumb- he should have gotten dragon glass arrows so he didn't have to charge at the Night King like an idiot, and why didn't he try a sneak attack from the tree or something? Why did the giant just so happen to conveniently pick Lyanna up so she could kill it? Why was the Night King walking along so slowly and unguarded so he was easier to kill? Why of all people, was it Arya who killed him? Why not Jon? That would make a much more satisfying ending since Jon has history with the white walkers. Why did most of the major characters just so happen to survive when so many others died? What were the rest of the white walkers doing? We mainly see the whites and the night king fighting (including the dragon). Where are all the undead animals like bears? And as well as the plot holes, it was all over way too soon without revealing anything about the white walkers. I really hope they have some kind of plot twist with the white walkers in the last 2 episodes because that was just disappointing. - The latest episode had some plot holes too, mainly, WHY IS DAENERYS STANDING IN FRONT OF HER ARMY, WITH NO ARMOUR, IN FRONT OF GIANT DRAGON-KILLING CROSSBOWS AND WHY DOESN'T CERSEI KILL HER, OR TYRION, OR DROGON, OR EVERYONE?!! This is Cersei Lannister, not some anime villain who stands around waiting until the hero is ready to fight.
Guy nailed it when he said the first season is hard to get through because there are too many characters, that's why people have a hard time taking it all in - your average show has a main cast of, what, 5 people? When you go back and watch season 1 again, after having a few other seasons under your belt, you appreciate it so much more. Learn, fools.
Lmfao !!! Love the way Bart is defending our GOT !! I’m with ya! Man Nikki be lagging I watched GOT from season 1 to now caught up in a week ! Even coming from an Alaskan, where the sun was still bright af at 8pm during the showing, I loved the dark ambiance. It made the whole episode intense.
I actually watched the episode on the phone with a small light on and thought it was a little dark but I could see everything... watched it again on my TV in the dark and completely understood why people were complaining! I would have been annoyed if it was my fist watch.

When Nikki said “each episode is so long too” and Bart said “it’s not long enough Nikki” I felt that 😂😂😂
lol "the kool-aid sucks, it's very sour!"
Lmfao !!! Love the way Bart is defending our GOT !! I’m with ya! Man Nikki be lagging I watched GOT from season 1 to now caught up in a week ! Hooked from the first episode lots of characters , houses and information but the more you watch you end up getting familiar with everything and it’s no longer confusing just pure thrill !! “It’s not long enough Nikki ! “ 8:05
Also battle of winterfell was a letdown considering how much it was hyped and writing was aight.
I'm with nikki. I only watched the 1st season and that was because my friends and I were house sitting. That was like 2013
Everyone that has seen GoT tell same the same thing after I tell them I lose interest after the first 3 or 4 episodes. "You got to watch all of Season 1 and 2 then you will like it."
It's not about watching in the dark. It's that they wanted to enhance the fact that the "good guys" in the show couldn't see a damn thing.
I think David hates Sam because he reminds him of himself haha.
It was dark and I saw so much colour banding. Definitely a higtly compressed low bitrate release.
Nikki I’m in the same boat as you. Haven’t watched GoT
David writes movies but doesn’t appreciate season 1 of GoT 🤨🤨🤨
AJ yeah I can’t believe people thought this episode was good 🤦♀️🤦♀️ bums me out because I’m a huge fan of the show. But it’s hasn’t been the same since season 6
Game Of Thrones was great 👏
LOVED IT
Edd and Jorah’s death 😭 I got attached even though I knew they wouldn’t survive
Theon owed the Starks his death
What's that noise in the background at 9:59?
11:04 I've never watched it but I love how enthusiastic Vaart is about it. 7:04 so I'm just gonna watch the _red wedding_ episode for bart since they talked it up so much.
Don't randomly watch an episode in the middle, theres no point.
@@niro3456 I don't actually want to watch to whole show tho :v
@@omarhernandez361 lol just don't watch the show then. no point watching one specific episode, this isnt black mirror, theres a story being told from ep1.
Yessss finally!! I wanted this for so long 👌
1:29 grandma Nikki came out.😂
It’s a night battle, that’s the point lol. I’m glad they decided to do it that way, bc it makes sense. Helps to put us in the mind state that the characters are in better
Took me five weeks , while watching two episodes a day catching up one week before eight season
Lmao Tiff 😂 not EVERYONE is on the GoT boat aka me 😐 I tried watching it before but I just didn't get it and it just wasn't my style at ALL 😅 then again, I'm not a Marvel fan either
Wait who were the other people that Sam got killed? I only remember Edd
I remember initially I saw the first few episodes, and, since I'm a reader of fantasy novels, I bought all of the books and read them while waiting for episodes of the 1st season. After that I was fully invested in the series.
God, I can never agree with anyone when they have mixed episodes of the first seasons, and then it's when I realize these are people who didn't read the books and watch the show for reasons like pretty camera work or acting
wait tiff and case went to a therapist what o_O
tons of people go to therapy, mental health is important.
