I have been getting into making paper dolls lately. I started adding them to my junk journals during Halloween and haven’t stopped. These are so lovely and a great use of scraps. I like the dark hair on them. Thanks so much for sharing.
I love how you adapted to the “oopsie” with the black ink. Just another reminder that our art is our own and little problems can be transformed. I love the final look 💕
I’m so glad you found another project to use your faces in. Magazine faces would have been fun. But these make your project so much more personal. Loved it!!♥️♥️♥️
I love this idea. The background really looks great. The dark hair really made the faces stand out to and lifted the figures away from the background.I love this and it looked great fun too 🥰
The lovely ladies are simple beautiful. You did another wonderful job with this Pinterest inspired series. Such a great idea and inspiring project! 🤗❤️ Tamara
This is a cool piece of art. Love how you decided to use your own face drawings. Love the end result. I like their hair long and black. Thank you for sharing.
The minute you did to hair everything seemed to fall in place it is very pretty. Such fun. I'm hoping to start an art Journal that I've never done before and that would be a fun place to put them.
I loved paper dolls as a child. Designing and making their outfits in the early 70’s was so much fun. Still have them. Your journal page idea would be a great way for me to continue to love them. Thanks❤
I can honestly say I really like almost all of your work, I have to say that your Pinterest inspired is one of my favorites. I think because I am not a creative person, it makes me feel better that even someone like you (who I consider to be very creative) can still get inspiration from somewhere else. Thanks for sharing all your ideas with us.
A fun quick idea. I would have stopped and maybe tossed if I had made the oops marks....but I love the way you can re-examine and change and improve your idea. Thanks for the lesson. Hugs from MN
I was inspired! Currently working on three larger canvas boards, one for myself and for two friends. So my ladies are close to a foot tall. We sometimes call ourselves the Sanderson Sisters, so this will be a representation of our friendship. I used a rubber stamp I have for the heads, and embellished with some extra make-up ☺️. They are also wearing turbans, to which I added a tiny butterfly. I may also give them each a pendant necklace with the letter “S” . Love your channel! Thank you!
I love this page sweetie 💖 the color palette is one I'm always in love with and I admire you for not running away and cry 😁 or glueing something over the top when that black went wrong...
I thought the darker highlights around the head tamed back the busy top background after the last stencil. I love to see how you keep going until you get what you like. I'm gonna try this page myself now. Looking for my heads. I ALSO LIKE that you gave them all long hair by mistake.
Du bist immer so mutig in den Farben und dann kommt sowas schönes dabei heraus 🥰! Ich mag den „Haarunfall“ 😊… es macht das Ganze besonders. Liebe Grüße Nicole
Haha 😆. This is awesome Barbara ❤❤❤ Very cool and different. I’m definitely going to do some more searching on Pinterest. Thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing your time and talent. Hugs 🤗 Dee 😊
This is my absolute favourite series!!! I love watching how you use ideas from Pinterest and turn them into something of your own. Also, I am now following you on Printerest as well. Thank you so much for sharing 😍😍😍
HELP 😵💫.... diese 'Paperdoll-Collagenladies' machen süchtig! Tolle Inspiration.
Barbara, I love pink so I love that background. And I think your ladies look better with the dark hair so that turned out to be a happy accident. Love the dresses. TFS! ❤
I love this project! You're a total boho fashion designer! Laughed so hard at your discussion about finding heads. 😂 Now I'm off to go headhunting! How awful that sounds!
I was hoping for a little streaking or just a wash of lighter black throughout and the hair left with the original lengths on your ladies. (They are beauties!) I honestly think adding more black wasn't quite the fix. 😮 that's just an opinion, but perhaps in the moment, while filming, it was the option you wanted to explore. It is a beautiful addition to that journal. I really love the collaged dresses. You are loving torn scraps ... inspiration from your small book collaging in the morning, perhaps?❤
Very enjoyable to watch, Barbara!! i might not have used black for shading, but rather burnt umber or even paynes gray, or deep forest green. I feel black is too harsh with the pastels. But certainly a fun project. Thank you! 💓
Wow, Deine Dolls gefallen mir sehr gut.
I think my problem is I've pinned too much 🙈 perhaps a little house keeping will help 🙊. Your heads are so cool especially the one with the long hair 😍. Yes, the pink works beautifully! Brilliant! Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
Hi Barbara, i hope you are well, i ve never do that and i have seen much vidéos with the paper doll collage but you have inspire me with your video today thank you very much for that... i want arrived to found a pictures with a little girl i love for to do that now... i hope you understand me... take care of you big kiss, Laetitia
The original artist is Jane Spakowsky. Although you provided the link to to the card on Fine Art America, it doesn’t show her name until you click the second link. So I would just note her name in your description for the original artist inspiration. You did a great job in making it your own and it turned out really nice.
I’m so sorry for my comment that made no sense to this video I haven’t watched yet. That comment was meant to go on someone else’s video about working through anxiety and healing. Lol oops. No idea how that happened other than I’m using my phone. 🤪
That was a happy accident deluxe! The black hair makes it perfect!
Wow, two videos in one day!!! I enjoyed watching this morning at breakfast and now again at lunch. Thanks for keeping me company.💜💜💜
I think the dark long hair really makes them pop off the page. Great idea.
I love their hair and the length of it. It actually beautifully frames their faces, shoulders, and arms. It turned out to be a happy mistake!! ❤

I get so much joy from just tearing paper? It’s so calming!

Yay!!!! I’ve been hoping you’d bring this series back!
I love how the dresses look. I think I would have preferred a burnt orange or earthy red background. I love the ethnic look.
Great idea! I always forget about pinterest when I’m looking at a blank page and I need inspiration. Thank you 😊
I thought the darker highlights around the head tamed back the busy top background after the last stencil. I love to see how you keep going until you get what you like. I'm gonna try this page myself now. Looking for my heads. I ALSO LIKE that you gave them all long hair by mistake.

LOVE this page! Thanks for sharing! 🥰
I have done this with my visual journaling students. We used animal heads instead of people. The kids had so much fun!
great ideas! love what you came up with and how you made it your own and not copy the original work. Good for you. An artist

Aaaaw thanks so much! ❤️
I love this concept and am doing something similar, but drawing my own ladies. They remind me of another great artist's work.
Klimt?
Very interesting watching you adapt. Blessings from Canada 🇨🇦

Girls, Ladies, Woman, all of them look Pretty, and with long hair better.
Who is the artist on the original picture of the three ladies. I would love to honor her by sharing her work or buying it?
I have the link of the Pinterest pin in the description box.
The original artist is Jane Spakowsky. Although you provided the link to to the card on Fine Art America, it doesn’t show her name until you click the second link.
