That's a fun page, your selfmade stamps are great! Btw, I really appreciate you keep on mentioning in every video to 'use what you have' . I stopped watching some other channels because of the endless sponsoring and mentioning of new/handy/trendy/etc. products. Not even because of the money you'll need to spend, but more because I refuse to buy new and more stuff all the time, it's not really what junk journaling is about i.m.o , it's more about repurposing, re-using, and re-cycling I think. So thank you.
Love your page! I have to say, it is not your usual look but, there is nothing wrong with that! I think we all have different likes at different times and that is expanding our horizons! Great colour combination too!💕🇨🇦
You made these quick and easy stamps look amazing! I really love all the stamps along with the beautiful colors. It almost seems to simple, or too good to be true! 😂 Thanks for another beautiful inspiration. 🤗❤️
Such a great video! Please do more like this. I struggle with creating these type of collages and watching your process is really helpful. Also, have you thought about doing a video of you creating a video? I would enjoy seeing that too.💙💙 Thank you for all the inspiring content!
Your collection of hand made stamps is impressive. It looks like this is a part of Junk Journaling that could become addictive. Lol. But seriously, what part isn’t addictive. Thanks for showing us how to make these. 🌈🌈🌈
I really enjoyed this video showing your process. It's good to hear what you are thinking and see each step in detail. Thank you for the reminder about handmade stamps and how much fun they can be 😊 Lisa 🇦🇺
I was always afraid that stamp making was “over my head”. You have alleviated my fears! These marks are fantastic. Love the colors shapes. Thank you for a great tutorial.
I love your designs! I've been carving little pink erasers and found a couple of blocks in my stash to try. It's so unique. Thanks for the inspiration!
I love how you show us so many options when it comes to creating. I made my first ever hand-made stamp a few months ago following your foam on cardboard method - and I'm still amazed at the results!!! I also appreciate how you demonstrate with other 'simple' materials like acrylic paint and brown paper packaging. It makes things feel a lot more 'achievable' for some of us, and that in turn allows us to be creative without having a big budget. Thank you. 🧡💚🤎
Thanks Barbara. This really does take time and practice to learn how colors and patterns balance on a page. You are quite talented, and I learn so much from you. 😊
I really enjoy making fodder and seem to be using it quite quickly. Your little birds are so CUTE 😍. You can make very easy stamps by die cutting fun foam if you don't have other supplies/confidence. I did enjoy lino cutting at school. Lol can't hear your birds because the dawn chorus is super loud outside my window right now 🐦 🎶. Snow? We have boring weather here, wind, rain or zilch 😄. Oh I could do with making a harlequin one. Lol I've just remembered making potato stamps in first school and being sad that they didn't last long. Love this page, it reminds me of the 60's and 79's 'pop' style 😍. Tfs and have a great day 💖💖💖
Carving your own stamps is very satisfying indeed ❤ I love the colors and that last collage you made. It's always some sort of magical to see it all emerge and come together sweetie ❤
Hello, Ohmygosh, you are the first artist Ive see so far, to actually journal in your journal. I love it. I also appreciate the composition of your work, how you explained the balance and color. Such things I've forgotten in all my art classes so long ago. I truly enjoy your channel, and I have so much to try from all your videos. I'm going to try coffee died paper, with some home made stamps. loved that you showed this too. Thank you so much for sharing your art with us.🥰
Thank you Barbara for showing these simple methods of making our own stamps. I’ve been looking for particular designs and I am so excited with this realisation that I can indeed make stamps myself. Did not occur to me that I have ‘these’ materials lying around in my house 😅. Sweet!

I have actually made my own stamps not so long ago with foam, wood, metal washers and other found objects. Even the branch of a tree (branches create amazingly beautiful prints (I always make sure they have fallen...and yes I always remember to thank the tree and Mother Nature for her offering)
Love Barbara - you are the best😊
Thanks for sharing brought back memories when you used the blocks to carve your stamp and I also remember you had to be careful not to jab yourself. Used them in the mid 70's in an art class when I was in high school. Take care stay safe had to kinda laugh when you mentioned snowstorm because about 2 weeks ago we got up to 90 degrees one day and then 3 days later we had a heavy wet snowstorm got around 7 inches. I live in Winona MN which is in the southeast corner of the state.
I bought a set of of blades 5 large pack of rubber to carve and roller. I will be making stamps. I have experience in carving but it’s been a while. Thank you for sharing ❤
Thank you for sharing how you made the stamps and how the different brushes could be used to make marks. Always love that you show how things really work out, for better or worse. I have to try doing more mark making. It's only paper, right?
Baby girl, I love this! ...and the numbers? **chef's kiss** I thought about you a few hours ago after bumping heads with my matte medium... It seemed a little bit thick for my purposes and even got a tad lumpy in spots underneath what I was gluing down... Could I have thinned it with some water? My semi-educated guess is yes, but I know you know for sure. Thanks angel! Hugs, MomK 🤗❤️🌵❤️🤗
Thanks so much MomK! I have actually never tried thinning down the matte gel 🤔. Sos you apply it with a brush? I wonder if it’s your climate 🤔. Just give it a try on a scrap paper 😊❤️
This was sooooo inspiring! And to see you explain and make the changes gave me so much insight. :) I really love the...um... forgot the name of the pattern, but those you made with the foam, and I'll try that myself with foam. :) I'm curious to why you only had that pattern in one place, but repeated the others? Trying to learn from the master... :) Also, I've recently ordered linoleum and carving tools, so finally I can make my own stamps, beside the tree I made for Dephemerember. :) Thanks so much, Barbara, for this very inspiring tutorial! :)
Thanks so much, you are so sweet! ☺️ I used that one only once because I was just looking to add other pop of yellow, so that I would have 3 to form a triangle. I hope that makes sense 😊❤️
