Girl you are a GENUIS and a fountain of knowledge when it comes to developing rounded healthy shoulders, thanks so much for the video your content is phenomenal!
Time and care you put into these videos, from not only showing us what to do to showing what not to do and why we're doing it, is greatly appreciated. You're a real life superhero.
Your videos are SO EDUCATIONAL! As a trainer, I really appreciate the kinesiology utilized in every video. Thanks for breaking it down and keeping it real.
Thanks for these exercises Cori. I've had a wrongly diagnosed winged scapula for over 21 years (no internet then). I thought I had got over it until I started doing Dumbbell Arnold presses last year and realised that I still had a weakness there because the other muscles had taken over. I added the snow angel as a warm up recently and done it with weights today and found it the best exercise so far. Really helped a lot and wish I'd done it years ago.
A thorough presentation, thank you. Would these movements be kind for an interior and rotator cuff injury. Even though this happened a some 5 years ago, unfortunately the tendons don’t want to play ball!?!
I’ll give these a shot. My Rt rotator cuff surgery 3 yrs ago helped the first year after but is now back to pain and seems damaged again. Feeling it’s associated with my forward head posture that I’ve sought help with for several years now and can’t seem to find a balance. I live in discomfort a lot, have neck weakness and after a work day standing over a computer and moving patients around, my low back takes the brunt causing difficulty just walking normally. Sorry for TMI but you seem so knowledgeable, I’d wondered what I should work on to get relief while still getting in workouts. I’m 58 and won’t give up on remaining for and healthy. Thanks for your great videos and information!
Thank you so much been having shoulder pain and wonder how to still be able to continue to exercise to make it better I have been doing these move here and there but now will make them a staple omg thank you
Great, thanks for the video. Do you think these will be good exercises for tennis elbow, I'm getting stronger in my shoulders but need to make them strong to elevate my tennis elbow which is recovering slowly (2 years now). I do a bit of swimming as well (not recently obviously) 2km every other day (35mins). Cheers from NZ.
Just showed the halos for my mother and explained to her why it is beneficial for shoulder health, she is in love with this movement:))thank you for the idea:))
Thanks for the video. I like doing #2 with upper body tilted slightly forward to add some work to the rear delt, adding an element of rear dumbbell fly. I can control the load by adjusting the angle of body tilting. If I feel like it, I’ll also add a shoulder shrug at the end of the movement while keeping the dumbbell out before returning to starting position. I can feel the burn even with very light weights.
I love your workouts! You are such an inspiration and help me so much with my Pilates practice. I often steal your ideas for my own clients. Thank you so much for sharing and keep safe! xo
I have pretty severe shoulder injury and have been using variations of these exercises for years to allow continued training...the one's you're displaying work great.
I know how i injured my shoulder..as a late teen into 20s, i used way to much weight in dumbbell overhead extensions...my non dominant left arm was forced through the motion for years, when i turned 43ish..my left shoulder was real painful, after seeing ortho..it wasn't rotator cuff issue but from x ray..showed narrowed, cartilidge wear in upper...after describing years of improper training, was def due to overtraining and rotator cuff fatigue /imbalance....now into my 50s..still training but didn't have the knowledge that is accessible now..
Thanks, I appreciate your knowledge as you explain how to do the exercises. It's not in this video, but you use a yellow fascia ball on the pecs, and I am searching for it or something similar. Can you tell me where to find it? Thanks!
I love learning from your variations, but that you explain so well which muscles are activated and the modifications. I use your exercises in my classes and members love it..
Thanks for this! I've had partially torn rotator cuffs and bursitis in my shoulders for years. I still do my PT exercises, and they help me stay active - horses, ice/ rock climbing. I'll add these too to help keep me healthy and 'uninjured'.
Great clip. I’ve been strengthening shoulders after overuse at work (using heavy hedge trimmer over head for long hours) My exercises include side plank and raise and hold dumbbell laterally, forwards and across the front. Now Ive improved strength, your exercises look like a good way to ensure my strength connects all shoulder muscles for safe reliable movement.
For women especially I think these kind of videos are all important. *1)You have the combination of lean and muscular while maintaining your femininity.* *2)Extremely informative, factual and succinct.* *3)Unintimidating and creative.* *4)The extra treat at the end....Kiwi.*
I have always loved working my shoulders, but in 2009 I had my right shoulder replaced (I am a lefty) and in 2011 I had my left shoulder replaced. Of course this was a few years after having arthroscopic surgery on each and before that cortisone injections that bought me some time. I still work my shoulders but with very light weights. And I suppose it doesn't help that I am an avid tennis player a few months per year. (I live in northern VT!)
I am an aging, endurance mountain biker constantly fighting shoulder pain at any ride over four-hours. This routine will be a must for me from now on - it feels sooo good. Thank you so much.
This is so informative. I'm so glad I found your channel. I'm 57 and am just making fitness a part of my life. Do you have a video for beginners or what you have on your channel is good for all? I struggle to put daily workouts together. Can I use all of these moves in one workout routine? Where can I get the bands from? Oh and I just love your dog!
If you love these 5 shoulder moves, you'll want to check out my Arm Burner Cards (yup shameless plug for these fun workouts!) bit.ly/3485NKr
