I love UFD, Curly Magic. I started off with a big chop and Eco Gel, but CM is amazing. I wash and condition in the shower and then spray a little night train and work in the CM, dip back into the shower stream once more and just shake my head. Curls and coils are so defined, all I need is a spray of Glossy and I'm done. Next morning I just do a quick dip in the shower with one pump of CM, shake and I'm good to go. I wash every other day. UFD works well with the 30Day Hair Detox challenge.

hi! I recently did the big chop, and my hair is just like yours. my hair type is 3b 3c, maybe (really maybe 4a) and I just need some help on finding a daily routine and a wash and or cowash routine. please please help!

my big chop is so dry and dandruff. I just orders uncle funky so hopefully this will be the one for me. Do you know how you can help me with my flakes a lot of them, I did the acv rinse it was clean that day the next and back dirty the third. but your chop is gorgeous. I chopped in setember and I do not want to go back to perms. but I cant get any moisture to stay. help please anyone.

I kinda glad that you big chop .but my hair shrinks like crazy so my hair looks just like yours but when I blow dry it out it is like collar bone length!!!
+Gabrielle Burnett Try the break down method by India from @MyNaturalSistas. It's basically twisting or stretching the hair while wet and letting it dry. Also make sure NOT to use too much water throughout the week (increases shrinkage). Get a moisturizer like Extra Butter and use it sparingly.

I love UFD Curl Magic that never failed me in the past but I switch to Camilla Rose. I recently did a BC again and I'm love it as you are. Have the rebranding of the product changed the formula? Your curls are popping!! I decided to stick to one Deva Curl Stylist only and no color while growing my hair longer. What have you learned over the years with your hair and what are your plans for your hair keeping it short or growing it out?
+Mattie Smith The rebranding and the availability in Target have NOT resulted in a formula change. The bottles may be an once of 2 less but the product is the same. Love the integrity of UFD! I've learned that a consistent routine that makes sense is critical. I've learned how to care for my hair in different climates and environments. I plan to keep it short and colored this year...mayyyyebe start growing it out next year.

how often do you wash your hair with a TWA? before i cut my hair i cowashed & deep conditioned 1x a week and actually washed (full cleansed) once a month. now that my hair is shorter, i find that it gets dry a lot faster !
I agree! I wash 2x a week now. Cleanse once a week, co-wash once a week. It's definitely different but still super quick!
The KG Lifestyle we literally have the same regimen with different products. I found this is the best regimen that has worked for myself..

why is everyone doing a 2nd big chop?
+Keysha W I don't know about everyone, but after 37 years of perms, I was ready for a change. I went to a professional, Jennifer-Rose NYC, for a big chop so she cut me to about an inch, which was probably shorter than I expected, but she got rid of all the permed hair (important) and cut it into a becoming shape. I discovered that I have curly hair and all I needed with a little gel to define it. UFD Curly Magic is perfect. Now I get a trim every 3 months and that's it. Can't imagine how many thousands of dollars I've spent over the years on those every 6 weeks touch ups! Now it's wash n go every day!
i love short hair...but im ready for mine to be long! i spent my life with short hair so im comfortable with it while its still growing. TFS...Also Are You letting yours grow out again? Or keeping it short?

+The KG Lifestyle Thanks for the reply, i never tried tried color myself even though i wanted to in hughschool (mom said no)...my strands are very very fine and can't take much of anything before snapping off. im just glad i stopped combing and brushing and now I finger detangle. All hair is not the same and neither are people's lifestyles. Short hair and long hair both have pros and cons. Healthy hair is always great though!

+GoldengoddessTV Yep! Target does sell them as mentioned at 3:03 :) I have normal porosity now that I live in Texas. When I lived in Detroit my hair was more porous.
