    Over the past month I've been watching natural hair care videos after discarding the wig permanently. I only just came across yours and MissKenk., today. I prefer your videos because they are far less labor intensive than twist-outs. Also, being a mature woman of 70, (but youthful) I feel that your style is better age appropriate for me. I was wanting to grow it longer for the twist out styles, but now that I'm seeing your videos I'm considering having it cut very short again. and using your methods. You have no idea how happy I am to be able to wear my hair curly without getting a texturizer which is still using a relaxer. Unmanaged, kinky hair just does nothing for me and I want to look my best with the use of only natural products. You are a beautiful. sophisticated young woman. I thank you for taking the time to show us what you do with your hair. I will be watching more of your videos. May you continue to be blessed in all that you do

      +Deirdre Gaskin I'm in the same situation. I'm 58 and wear an "oprah" style wig, but I'm sick of it. I'm natural, but don't know what products to use and what to do with my hair.

    • @debigee358
      @debigee358 8 лет назад +2

      +Deirdre Gaskin You have precisely said what so many of us feel. I'm 60+ and I don';t care to spend all my extra time playing w/ my "natural" hair". I want to look fabulous w minimal effort - the way I looked w/ a relaxer and a shoulder length bob. This method seems much easier to prepare and manage. Now, if I can apply my age appropriate makeup half as nice as she does!!

    After searching thru the videos for caring for and styling natural hair, I stumbled on yours for short hair. And I must say a BIG thank you!! My daughter and I are new to this; me transitioning from a very short relaxed cut and my daughter an unwanted BC. I think our curl pattern is very similar to yours and this hair style is just what we have been looking for while we are growing our hair healthy. I will definitely continue to follow your videos to see your progress. Thanks again for showi

    @SisterOfMySoul I haven't cut my hair since I chopped it off. I don't plan on keeping the sides and back cut. My hair is shaped this way because I cut it this way when I big chopped. The sides and back were a little shorter than the top. This was better for me than cutting in even all over. I like my hair to have shape.

  • @colouredbeautiful

    I just did the Big Chop Jan 10, 2012 & its refreshing but not. Its fear of the unknown! I've had a perm since I was 15 & I'm now 41. I do have a TWA & it's startling. Now I can see (& everyone else) all my imperfections of the face better, what makeup do you use, yours is impeccable! I'm not a make up chick, other than eye shadow, mascara & lip gloss. This definitely will help! Thank you!

    this is mad beautiful. although you said that it does not take long to do, have you checked out using a sponge to achieve the same effect. I am doing mine tonight but essential, you wash, condition, etc and with a damp sponge or damp microfiber cloth, you use circular motion (counter clockwise) to get the curl pattern going the way you want and then finger manipulate those areas you desire to get a little more definition. Faster than your way but still allows you to add that personal touch to it
