there are no words to describe what ur vid did for me. try make quick..did big chop yesterday and i was lost..i co-washed, styled (4 attempts), then clarified wash in between when styles didnt work..i was regretting choppin my hair and was dayum near depressed..i already saw 100's of vids on YT, but then i came across this vid and saved my life..only diff is i used curling enhance, eco stlyer, and africas best oils before brushing. OMG, i was singing and dancin around added some hoops, fresh brow shaping, a lil gloss on lips and i was dunzo!!!THANK U SOOO MUCH!
Our daughter is from Ethiopia and my Husband does all of her hair care. He used your video Sunday afternoon after doing her weekly co-wash to style her hair. It turned out great! Her hair is about twice as long as yours but it still worked like a charm. Our daughter was super excited to go to school Monday and show her new hairstyle to her friends. Thank you so much for posting!
Thank you so much for this video. I am an older African American woman and completed treatment for Triple Negative Breast Cancer 1 year ago. I had locs to the middle of my back before I was diagnosed. Chemotherapy took my hair but I refused to wear a wig. Now I have about 2 inches of hair back after a year of healing from the treatment. The brush worked beautifully of my fragile new growth--no breakage, no shedding and the coils are so pretty.
This is so cute. I've never seen anyone define their curls this way. My hair is the same length as yours and I have the same products. I am going to try this right now. Great video. Thanks.
I wanted to say a short THANK YOU!!! I know that you said that you didn't originate this application method however it's the most original and ingenious idea EVER that I have seen in natural hair videos. Thanks again. BTW it works! I tried last night and my texture is different more dense than yours and it works great! It's my go-to style from now on.
Thank you so much! New on my journey for the umpteenth time, but the difference is finally shedding the fear, EDUCATING MYSELF, and not giving in to the stereotypes of what "others", (myself too really), define as beautiful hair. What really gave me strength was the support and encouragement from my new hubby who loves a natural black woman in all her beauty inside and out. Your video was quick and informative with a great personality, so I'm now a subscriber. Thanks for sharing this tip and putting me on to +4nappiness4eva (now beuniquehaircare) as well. I look forward to watching you both! :)
Thanks for showing a quicker way to define curls. My concern has always been time which is the reason I cut my hair short. Your way of defining curls is less time consuming and your hair looks fantastic! Thanks for sharing!
WOW!! I have to do individual finger coils for separate sections of my hair!!! It usually tales hours, that only took minutes, so I'm DEFINITELY trying this!
Thank you so much!! I tried your method this morning and it really did take about 10 minutes! I spent a little more time defining a few curls that needed some tender loving care, and the end result was fabulous!! Just like yours! Thanks a bunch!
Wow am smiling so hard😁😁 I love how talented us black women are. It looks amazing and u really remind me of Nia Long...😍😍😍😍😍😍 can u say #blackgirlmagic
Did the big chop after having my 2nd child 20 years ago, rocked the low-cut fade for 5 years, graced dreadlocs for 10 years before chopping off 3 ft of growth, and now I've been wearing it low again. I tried this technique this morning before work and it only took 15 min. I love it!!! Thanks for sharing, sis.
I love it. I have been battling with the decision to go natural for sooooo long. I just recently decided I am definately going to do it. Your video has shown me how easy it to get that look, which I Iove. Great method, and you wear it well!
I was able to successfully follow your instructions with the brush and it worked out so well. Thank you so much. I will now have options to get ready and not have to spend a fortune on gel twists. Bless you and keep this up!
Girl, I am so glad I found this video. I like the definition of coiled curls, but detest the time it takes to do them by finger. I am so lovin' this method that you posted using a brush. As soon as you whipped it out, I was like, "YES, this is the method for me to use." I am all about quickness in getting my hair looking stylish. I sooooooooo hate messing with it for more than 10 or 11 mins. I mean I cut it short for the purpose of not having to take a lot of time with it. Trying it now!
so glad I found your channel. I just did my 3rd big chop. I have been natural for 5 years and I wanted to change up my look a little so now I have a tapped low cut. I love it! you are beautiful btw.
TWA mini coils. Thank you so much. This method worked perfectly. I did a big chop from 12 years of dreads and my first day of hair was scary but i saw your video and OMG!!!!! I am so happy! THANK YOU!!!!!!!
super cute style!! aside from the wonderful instruction you've given, i REALLY REALLY (and I can't over-emphasize how much) appreciate the fact that you don't talk us to death!! great at keeping us engaged, and not turning a 10-minute tutorial into a 30 minute soliloquy. thanks!!
I have been stressed trying NOT to cut my hair or pay a fortune to have it done. Thanks to your video, I am able to tame this mane through it's awkward phase. Thank you, keep the videos coming
I did my BC October 2011 I love how you use the different products. My hair is very short and that idea of how you used the brush to create the coils is beautiful.
I just subscribe to youtube, and you are my 1st person im subscribing to. I've watch most of your video and enjoyed them very much. I joined the natural community as a bday present this year in may. You are 1 of my favorite. Thanks for your time.

Absolutely fabulous. I love the fact that sisters are embracing natural hair. It's so inspiring. I want to do it so bad. And the fact that you did it in 10 minutes was so hot. Black women are so fly.

Amazing! Thank you to you and the one who introduced this to you. I just did my BC on April 1st and i had only been growing it out for 4 mo so my hair is a little longer than yours in the vid. I will try this style later this week!!!

You are absolutely beautiful... I just did my big chop abt a month ago and have been getting shape ups and fade outs in the back. I love the texture of your hair. I think I will let my hair start to grow back. i love this style.
Your hair seems to be more of a type 3 not 4
No that's a 4 not a 3 loose wavy hair is 3 like black Hispanic hair
I have type 4 hair, never ever did that so easy. My sister has type 3, she definitely was able to do this.
Hers might be more of a 4a/4b than 4c
Could be 3c hair as well. I have 4a still can't do this. Oh well.
This is awesome! such a quick way to create that curly defined look without having to do each one individually. Thank you! :)
😌NOW SEE, THIS SEEMS MORE "ATTAINABLE" FOR ME! SIMPLE, QUICK, NOT 1,000 PRODUCTS OR STEPS!😜
I Love it! This is the style I'm trying to achieve and you've managed to find a REALLY quick and easy way to do. I have all those products and I'm going home to try this tonight. Really cute! Thanks for the share!

The brush method of attaining curls on a twa might be more effective than the sponge. Your hair looks lovely!
FINALLY someone with my hair type! i just went natural and have no idea what to use or how to style my twa. thanks!!!
That technique is so cool and beautiful...Thank you so much because I had no idea on what to do with my TWA...I just took my quick weave out and was at a loss...

Girl, this style saved my life! I could not rock a nappy TWA with my hair. Thanks RUclips sistahs for helping Mama out!
