A reminder. I would LOVE a rectangle crochet blanket worked from the centre in DOUBLE CROCHET. I love your video tutorials
I have been doing literally two stitches my whole life because I learned from my aunty who lived far away and honestly I was happy with my very basic knowledge, but then I found this video because I struggled with the corners and never once has a video made it seem so easy for me to follow along and trust me I've tried a bunch. Thank you for this, really and truly. Also, Happy Mother's Day!
I started this blanket from another blanket bc I didnt like the original one I was doing. And I LOVE this stitch! Its so easy to put down and pick up later!
Thanks for figuring out those first 2 rows! After that it's a breeze and so fun to do. Can't wait to see my finished project!
THANK YOU SO MUCH! Thi is exactly what I was trying to figure out. You explned it simply and gave good examples that were easy to follow.
Your instructions are perfect. At first, I didn't think so but when I finally did what you actually said and showed, it worked! Imagine that! I love that once it's started, it's really easy to keep going without counting or thinking too much about it. Thank you.
Your videos are good I’ve just learnt to crochet and now I find it easy and fun
Found this tutorial yesterday and had never seen the moss stitch before. I am currently making a blanket out of my scrap yarn so the color changes are making it very interesting. The only problem I have is that since there is no stop/start to each round, it's nearly impossible to put down! :) It's growing super fast though and I can't wait to finish it. Thanks for such a great tutorial.
The best video on doing this stitch in the round rectangle. Thanks a million!!!
I'm so happy to see this moss stitch in a rectangle!! I learned on the square for a baby blanket, but the rectangle will be for ME!
Firstly, thank you so much for the tutorials you provide on your channel; other crafters do not come close to the standard you have set. I've made MANY, MANY blankets for a charity I work for in this moss stitch, but wonder if you could help me with a double crochet from the centre pattern to vary my repertoire. Again, thank you so very, very much.
Thanks so much for the moss stitch excited to make a blanket.
Moss stitch is the best thing ever!
Beautiful and so easy. I just got another project on my to do list lol. Thank you for the tutorial.
I've done the square and shawl. I also altered the square to make a star and a hexagon shape. Just added one more single crochet and chain. It works well.
So Happy you did this tutorial just bought 9 Caron big cakes! Thank you 🙂 Love this!!
Thank you for this. I love the moss stitch, also love how you done this seamless. Easy to to follow your a great teacher x
I made a blanket and a rectangular cardigan with this pattern both turned out beautiful!
I really like this tutorial very much. You’re a great teacher! Love the color way that you’re using from Caron yarns. I’m going to use the seed stitch crocheting my next project.💕
I'm trying it out now. Always wanted to learn this pattern.
I want to thank you for your video I have just learnt how to crochet I will learn more for you
Thanks to u u explained it so well . I started my blanket
Just found this it's lovely thanks for sharing never thought of doing moss stitch in a rectangle before, great teacher, best wishes from Ireland xx
Tutorial starts at 2:05
I use a safety pin to mark my 1st row. That way I have even rows around. I love this
I just checked the blog and her blanket is WONKY ,too.I guess this happens when you don’t turn your work.Thank you for the tutorial and it is mindless fun🥴
Love this! Question for you--if you did want to change colors instead of using color changing yarn, where would you recommend you change colors?
I love this! Ty for your time and energy and talent in sharing and teaching us! You are easy to follow along with and make crocheting fun:)
Can you use this pattern but make hdc or dc?
Beautiful...I'm ready with the yarns, but how if I want to make a longer rectangle? you start with 28 chains. How multiples of chains should I make for a longer shape? thank you Sarah
If I’m not mistaking it’s Multiples of two
Love this thank you for the square one also love the yarn ordered 6 rolls of jorden almond
Great tutorial. Question? Love your handle on your hook. Is that a cap you can slip on to the hook handle? If so can you give a website where you can find those.
Thank you This easy and very pretty!
Where has this been all my life!!??
Currently making this, I can’t wait to see how it turns out
If I continued would it be long and wide enough for a double bed also would regular yarn do the same ☺
I absolutely love this pattern. I'm making a really big blanket for my dad. I just have one question, can I increase the starting chains to say triple, 84 chains and it still workout the same? Thank you again for this awesome pattern and video.
I did. Worked fine.
@@colemanyearbook2707 it made queen size blanket ? What size hours turned out after done?
Thank you for a great tutorial. The blanket is beautiful!!! BJ
Good pattern, good tutorial. I make. Single Crochet blankets and donate them to my local Animal Shelter. Please consider making a tutorial for a SC RECTANGLE. Making them in SC assures that they won’t get their nails caught in any spaces. I like this pattern so much that I’m thinking of making one maybe it will work.
These are so fun to do, the only difference for me is that I mark the first stitch of the round and turn my work each round, that way it stays flat and even without that twisted look
What do you do to end the project, where do you tie it off ?
Very easy to follow.
Great im guessing that this could be done in any self striping yarn incase you wanted to make this for a child or baby
Great tutorial!!!!! Thank you!
How would you finish off your last row please
Beautiful!!!
I don't have. color changing yarn. if I want to change colors would I just add my new color in the corner like I would a granny square?
Precioso trabajo!!! Subtitulos en español por favor!!!!!! Muchas gracias!
Hi, could you help me with my counting? If I need to make a blanket about 70 X 90 cm, how many chains I need to do? Thanks for those tutorial ☺️
Thank you so much 💓🥰
Cuando se termina una bola de donde se empueza a ocupar la otra del centro o de afuera?? Muchas gracias
I think this would make a nice rug with T-shirt yarn
So do i
L lava

Molly Crochets I have 1 ball of bernat home dec that I need to use and I think I’ll make with this
I have been making a blanket and almost to the end….how do you finish off?
Hello
Do u have the moss stitch in the continued square pattern in video tutorial also? I saw the blog post for it but not the video.
The hook are you using?
When you skip, are you going into the chain 1 space or the single crochet chain?
This is a beautiful yet simple pattern. How do you change colors on a rectangle with different skeins?
How many cakes do you need for a baby blanket?
I would love to this just single crochet...how would I do the corners on the ends?
Just a suggestion for people is not is fast is you on crocheting, will be great if you cut Slow down Just a bit is a consideration for your viewers of your videos tutorials. I still don't understand how you keep the rectangular Stray. Please comment on how to keep it stray, I would truly appreciate it. love your projects. Happy new Year. From Boise ID.
Hello ! beautiful, but to fast to appreciate the corner, I'm new .
Beautiful, what size hook are you using.
Barb Jones she’s using an H hook
Happy New Year I have try to keep the rectangle crochet stray. No matter how many Times I do it is crooked. Any one, Please help me. Thank you.
Hello! Please, I need your help. I have started many times this rectangular blanket and I tell you the problem I have: The corners come out as if they "left over" stitches ... Why is this happening to me? I hope you can help me. Thank you.
Nifeza yes mi e are wonky too.Have you figured it out.
How do you stop/finish it off if you just keep going
Hello. I enjoyed your rectangle moss stitch very much. However, I would like to ask how many cakes are needed for a lap Afghan (approx 48”x60”)? And finally what size of crochet hook are you using? Thank you.
Hi love 💘 this
what is the name of this colour please and thank you
Could u make this as temp blanket?
Missed a chain 1 on one end between the corners. Is there some math equation to make a rectangle pattern the correct proportions for standard beds?
I noticed that too
Hmmm mine appears to be swirling at the corners?
How do you end it off?
it doesnt lay flat and the corners are wavy...shouldve told us to reverse after every round so it looks even :/
what colorway are you using
I just frogged it’s. Nice stitch, but did not like WONKY shape rectangle 😩
Can we make the chain long
what are the multiples in case I want to do longer or shorter
and hook size would be nice too
How do you finish off and where
Christina Tina Mieth I was wondering the same thing!
I am not seeing any replies on how to end this. Can anyone assist please?
Nice, but I do wish it was a bit slower. I am brand new to crochet
Hey there. I was reading the comments and saw yours. If you haven't found out already, click on the 3 dots in the upper right corner of the video, choose Playback Speed, then adjust the speed. Also, the link to the written pattern and her website is in the description section. I found reading the pattern (if you can) then watching the video several times helps me alot. I hit pause or replay of I miss something. Hope your project turned out well.
Austalia needs rain to
Great instructions but you need better lighting, because I had trouble seeing where you were putting your hook.
The hook size
It looks a little off centered. A. Rochet technique was done incorrectly. It was wrong from the start at the gray center part.
Should go little clearer, show where u are going to insert your needle.
Can u redo this but a little slower
Lisa Hoffman hi you should be able to slow it down, at the top of the video
screen to the right you can select a slower playback speed there are 3 dots, press it and you will see the settings to change speed. Hope that helps 😊
You can always pause the video also
I agree with Lisa. This lady goes too fast for a tutorial. I’m an advanced crocheter and can keep up, but she needs to keep newbie’s in mind more than she does.
I wanted to watch it but can’t see it. I have poor eyesight.
End result is too skewed for my taste. Several other videos out there that are easier to follow. Been crocheting for many years, and I had trouble watching. Keep in mind, speedy hooking isn't the best when trying to do a tutorial. And yes, more light
Had to stop cause you go Waugh too fast
You can slow down the playback speed. In the upper right hand corner
Thanks to u u explained it so well . I started my blanket
