I agree. I am a new crocheter, learn to be just before Christmas last year, and decided to jump all in with a temperature blanket for 2024. While I am a little behind right now, I am enjoying this project and excited to jump into new colors and a new pattern in 2025. The linen stitch looks like something I can do, so it is a front runner for the new year!

I‘m a bit late, but if you live in an area with extremely stable temperatures you could just make the pettiest color gauge by assigning each color to 3 or even just 2 degrees. As I said, be petty and nitpicky, and basically force the color variation. ^^
I really like Tony‘s idea for this year of making a blanket of the year she married. It‘s easier to set the gauge for a year that already has all the temperatures filled in, so there‘s no guesswork involved. So maybe that could be an inspiration for a „year before I left“ blanket as a goodbye to your former home?

Ok...you have inspired me to start planning my FIRST temperature blanket and planning it for 2023! I love this linen square. I'm going to plan our my colors and then get ready for 2023. I'm just hoping the W-underground APP records historical temps for China, as that is where I am living. I'll keep you posted...

I just love your channel, your teaching style and smooth, calm voice. Last night I was able to learn the Tunisian simple stitch with your tutorial. It's amazing! This tutorial has me confused, though, as it is too hard to see where to insert the hook.. 😢 I've tried twice and will come back tomorrow.. ❤ I must be tired.

Wow. You have so many tips and tricks in just that one square! Makes it look so sharp and pretty. Your magic loop! Never done it like that, so clever. Will have to reference this again. Never have done the linen stitch. Looks easy and addicting!

I just finished up my 2020 temp blanket, and now I'm kind of jonesing to do another. Maybe I'll start brainstorming for 2022! I love the idea of squares for each month, but I like your Tunisian stripe panel blanket too.

I made a hexagon mood blanket in 2022 (I crocheted a hexagon each day with the colors representing my moods/feelings for that day) and this year I am going to be making my mood blanket with this pattern! So excited to get it started!!

I'm late but thank you so much for that video! I was trying to make a temperature blanket for 2022 but it got too complicated and way to big. I'm going to start again using linen stitch square. I really want to do 2022 because it's the first year I spent in mynew appartment and 2023 because it will be the year when I am finally a doctor. So thank you for your videos, they are so easy to follow and entertaining
