I'm old enough to remember the 1st time I heard this sung by Simon & Garfunkel. I thought it was very good then, but 59 yrs later, when I heard Disturbed's rendition, I cried.

For a guy that sings metal, he sang this song with pure heart and did a phenomenal job on it. One of my favorite songs by Disturbed and by far one of my top 3 best concerts I've been to. Mad respect to all the members. Each concert, he teaches a lesson about staying sober, staying clean, following dreams.
I want to see his reaction when the song really gets going. This song is one of the greatest. This band disturbed has done a magnificent job of honoring this song. One of my favorites.

This is actually a cover. Original was done by Simon and Garfunkel. But Disturbed pulled it off and love his voice! All natural, need more like this!

The kinks, the monkeys and I love Mrs.robinson by Simon and Garfunkel. So I completely love that era of music. Just love the cover of sound of silence by disturbed more.

I was just thinking the same thing! I love that he closed his eyes at the end of the video, to fully Feel this song! It's the perfect amount of appreciation he's giving this masterpiece, one of the few covers that are just as good as if not better than the original!
The only 2 songs I can say this for us Shinedown's Simple man and Johnny Cash covering NIN Hurt. I'd love to see him to those 2 covers, I think he Feel those songs deep in his soul

I had the chance to hear this live - I already heard the cover but hearing it sung live by him so amazing. His voice is just stunning. But I would have loved to see him react to a little more of this song because this is chilling but the crescendo of this song is amazing!

At first when I heard this it went from a little frightful to absolutely beautiful.
EVERY TIME I hear Disturbed’s version of Sound of Silence, I sit and watch the gooseflesh take over my body! Truly awesome. I’m a child of the 60’s and loved Simon & Garfunkel (still do), but THIS GUY’s voice is so incredibly powerful…I’m always blown away when I hear it!

There are those who cover a song and do it justice because of how close to the original they are, but then there are the rare few who cover a song and make it their own and send it to a whole new level.
One of the BEST songs ever written... The emotional impact on my heart is the same today hearing Disturbed sing it is the same as when I heard it the 1st time when Simon and Garfunkel sang it.

It's hard to believe that there are young people today who've never heard songs that were totally incredible and popular in my day.
David Draiman is unreal. His control and projection are extraordinary. I've heard this version dozens and dozens of times and I still get goosebumps every single time. One of the most phenomenal covers of all time, in my opinion, if not THE best. Close second for me would be Brian Austin Crumb singing Radiohead's Creep.

I remember my first time hearing this by Disturbed! Omg! I listened on repeat during a hard time in my life. The depth of his voice, the words, and the sound helped heal me. Such talent.
