I see some comments say that the singer doesn't sound like Geddy Lee. Nobody does though. But they did a really good job. I have been a Rush fan since I first heard them in 1977. Love and miss them. All the bands that play their music we need to give some respect for keeping their music around. Peace

Caress of Steel was the first album i ever bought ....ever ...... It was 1978 ...I was 11 years old..9 month later i went 22 miles from home to see Rush on the Hemispheres tour at the City Hall Newcastle England.Boy did i get wrong when i got home...Didn't care ,what a night.Different times back in the day. Gen X and all that.

It was also my first Rush album. 76 is when I decovered them. Lucky enough to see them in concert that same year.

Early Rush had a different feel. It's my preferred Era. Edgier, grittier. The 3 kings of Rock. 💪

Awesome. Love Caress of Steel. One of the most under appreciated Rush albums. Great cover version. Your band should be proud, you are in select company as one of the few band who have covered this song. Dream Theatre also covered this one.
This is remarkable! So many Rush tributes fall to the way side on the vocals. It’s awesome to hear some Rush tunes with an incredible vocalist. Musicianship is equally outstanding! A Rush tribute band has finally managed to nail it!

One of my favourite Rush songs! There's hardly any live performances of this available to see (by anyone) so thank you! Fantastic job. As a guitarist myself, he did an awesome job. I'd love to know what amp/gear he's using, that tone is almost identical to the actual album itself!!
It took a lot of work to transcribe this song and get it up to performance standards for guitar. I use a Kemper profiler for the tone... also took a lot of research and time. The amp is a Marshall JMP 50 watt like Alex's original Marshall and a LP Standard.

Such a fun and difficult song to play live!
@@solarfederation well you pulled it off extremely well. was wondering how you got the volume swells/ambient sounds at the beginning, I'm guessing they're recorded along with Neil's "narrator" voice, but then how did you get the timing right to sync that with your live playing.
I recreated the volume swells and voice for the beginning and end sections. The middle part is Neil and the sounds from the album. There's no way to isolate the beginning and end parts so I had to figure out how to re-create. A lot of work along with transcribing the rhythm guitar parts and four solos.
We will actually be performing this song in it's entirety at Neil's Memorial at The Merdian Center in Canada... when it happens.

Guitar sound meets the orig very well. As it is live, sounds a little too clean in the end. Drum side camera isn't in sync. Voice could better go without vibrato. Though I like the soul feeling interpretation.
Still love to hear that solid early years prog song again and again. Good to hear their heritage lives on.
