Such a gentleman and gentle man, most of his short life he suffered pain, illness and operations, we all should spare a thought for people like Billy when we have our pathetic day to day moans and minor problems............. R.I.P the great Billy Fury.
Russell made sound as though Your troubles were over Billy. If love from fans could have saved You, You would still be with us. Thanks for all You gave us.
What a lovely humble man Billy was great singer and entertainer loves wild animals and birds he had a house in the lovely area of Abergavenny in South Wales actually only about 6 to 8 miles where we live god bless you Billy taken away far to young ❤

Oh dearest, dearest Billy. Not only did he have the most beautiful tone of voice but he was always so softly spoken, a true gentleman with such a lovely character. Taken from us far too soon but will always be a well loved idol of miine. Never forgotten Billy ♥♥
Nice to hear Billy's story from his own lips, and to understand more. TWENTY NINE hit singles, was it? He had a most attractive voice, was very good looking, a great performer and excellent dress sense, fantastic hair, loads of good songs, perhaps Britain's most convincing rock & roller. Top ballads also. Incase you hadn't guessed, I like him RIP BILL
20:52 Such a lovely man. He was very kind to me one day back in the ‘60s at a TOTP recording in Manchester. My friend fainted and I was running down a corridor to get her a drink of water when I ran slap bang into Billy’s arms. He asked “Where are you going to in such a hurry?” When I explained he helped out but I can’t now remember what actually happened after that. I’ve told the tale many times. 😄❤️
What a brilliant singer he was. Up there with Elvis. He was so entertaining. He made my heart throb. And such a quiet and lowly man when being interviewed. Not however when he sang his songs. He was most entertaining
I've seen his name mentioned in music articles and knew he was a popular singer. Never realized he was as great a singer that he was. Will have to listen to more of his music.
Listen to The drama "The Sound of Fury" Billy's life, it's so very good. Now playing again on BBC 4 Extra from about 20years ago. You won't be disappointed, I promise you.
He was more than a match for Elvis or any of the Others as Mr Leannon said "The best Rock and Roll singer came from Liverpool The Late Great Billy Fury RiP
Sat with tears running down my face watching this. What a beautiful, talented, down to earth man Billy was. After everything he went through,to be taken so young and far too soon.Love you Billy,R.I.P.😢😢😢😢😢 xxx

Great interview! He should have been more successful here in the states. Seems like a wonderful individual. I have just about all of his vinyl releases and will keep them until I pass. I am going on 77 years old.
What a lovely bloke. Great talent who clearly suffered ill health for most of his short life. Very interesting to compare this interview with the later Russell Harty show - where he was very poorly indeed and probably ill advised appearing on TV and performing
A pop music legend in England in the early 60s; in May of 1960 John Lennon wanted his autograph at an audition to back Fury that the Beatles didn’t get! There is a picture of the moment with Lennon’s head partially obscured!
