If you don't/didn't love and admire this guy, you need to dig deep down into your soul. This guy was the best thing to come out of England. Years after the Beatle Invasion I discovered him. He should have been bigger here in the states. RIP Billy.

Billy seemed a very sensitive person,on the interview he seems very frail,my mum had the same illness and passed away,I know the struggle she had to try and survive for her family,so my thoughts go to his family who must miss him everyday,I wasn't a fan but I can appreciate his talent and so very sad he didn't make it..❤❤
aged 42 here with only a few months of life left, left us way too young.

So skinny but he was still sexy and so good looking...Absolutely gorgeous...He had an incredible voice...Was one of my favourite singers and had posters of him on my bedroom wall as a teenager...Fortunate enough to go to a concert in Manchester to watch him.,Sad he passed away young..His songs dont age

I thought Harty concentrated too much on Billy's illness , he had no reason to be cocky, he only had 5 years left himself.

He was doomed from childhood and he knew it , think it was scarlet fever or diphtheria, the one that fatally injures your heart and only gives you a few years to live, but he was one of the greats with a list of top records, all classics which thankfully you can still find on you tube etc - mostly romantic - although mainly if he had had the choice, he would have preferred to be a rocker like Elvis, but I loved what he did and think it was the right choice for him.

I've been talking about Billy today on social media. Considering how many hits he had in the sixties, and how good most of them were, I think he ought to be more acknowledged and more respect accorded. Also, one of the few credible rock & rollers in Britain early on❤

Never seen this before but Billy, though looking a bit frail, was fabulous in the interview and while singing. How long exactly was it before he passed away?
3 or 4 months I think. Such a shame as his musical career was beginning to grow again.

Do you happen to have the rest of the show? My husband was on in the second half of the show singing with a childrens choir called The Little Darlings. Would love to see that again.

I remember his songs. Can't remember him. However , chewing gum when being interviewed is not good. This video shows he had a big ego. He had a heart attack not long after this interview. Far too young. Had he had a stroke? His left arm appears to say yes.
