Thank you Videocurios. Been looking for this for years. Wish I found it when my beautiful Mum was still alive. She’s the lady who he asked to stand up for a minute.
Truly, if any younger person think today’s actors and entertainers have great talent go find Danny’s movies and stage acts to really truly see what great talent looks like!
I can't help in Hans christten Anderson stories but it wouldn't be great without papa Danny had did the work. He's the inspected general and court jester and Hans christten all in one person just yomske people cry laugh and cringed as so much. Mr Kaye will never forgotten.
I ask consent for his daughter to create the Danny Kaye inspirational foundation for children. It will sounded neet. Although he's been passed for thirty four years.
@@rachelborowyckyj626 that's nostalgia talking. But true for the heart. There are VERY talented actors today. But I did & still do enjoy Danny Kaye. He was and remains unique. Like said: A One Off!!!
What a sensational, delightful, humorous, thoughtful, multi-talented, natural, entertaining, charitable, kind human being. A down to earth star! And Russel Harty was a good interviewer, who made it a relaxing experience for his guests.
This may be the only adult-type interview with Danny available online -- and it's a good one. Very enjoyable to see and hear him as a "real person" rather than as a character. Enjoyed the bit about the Brooklyn accent.
Thank you so much for making this video available for everyone to see this former giant of an entertainer, the likes of who we will probably not see ever again. What a lovely person with a great heart for mankind Danny Kaye was.
Always a special place in my heart for this wonderful guy. Danny Kaye was just a giant of decency and kindness. It radiated from him and after all these years, it was a privilege to catch this chat with Mr Russell Harty whom we lost much too soon also. Real treasure trove! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💐
BAHAHAHAH!!! THAT song is on the SESAME STREEET!!!! about..." There's a Hole in the Bucket.. Dear Liza Dear Liza.... There's a Hole in the Bucket Dear Liza a Hole!">> hahahahhaahhaha
Russell Harty was brilliant he didn't try to be liked by those he interviewed unlike so many of todays interviewers, but with Danny he knew he was in the company of a genuinely great man.

Glad I could help

I grew up with Danny Kaye and many other of the golden era of Hollywood. And they had 100 time more talent than many modern celebrities now.

A great person. Though he reveals virtually nothing about himself.
He was a one off. There will never ever be another Danny Kaye. Comedic Genius
Wonderful and talented man. How sad that he seems to be largely forgotten. Strange world we live in.
Never will there be another Danny Kaye xxxxx
Terrific! Danny Kaye didn’t need an interviewer at all. He could command the stage alone.
A BIG thank you from a massive Danny Kaye fan for sharing this absolute treasure !
Me too, I mean a massive Dany Kaye fan.
Any more where this came from ?
Kim Andrews And me too!!
Comic genius !! And not a 4 letter word to be heard. We need more like him today
Danny Kay was unique and very irreplaceable. .........thank you for posting this.
Danny Kaye was SOOOOOOOOOO spontaneous, clever, funny, crazy, and amazingly talented. missed much.

Danny kaye has left us with Some magical moments and was one of The 20th centuries Greatest Talents. England Loved him.
Such Humility. Such a big star. Danny Kaye.
Good recording showing both Kaye's ability to entertain and Harty's ability to conduct a chat show without making himself the centre.
He was the funniest man I ever saw such a great comedian, he makes me laugh whenever I feel sad.

Two great artists=Fantastic interview.
Absolutely gorgeous and genius xx
Alway loved Danny Kaye.
Love Danny Kaye Brilliant entertainer very much missed xx
Pure class from Danny Kay, no swear words, no vulgar speech or jokes like Robin Williams and other thrash of today.
'Does anyone call you Russ? 'My Friends do' 'Alright Russell' brilliant. So relaxed and witty. Russell was great at putting the interviewee at ease
Brilliant
Danny had me in hysterics in this interview. It's late & I should be in bed: but I can't turn this off!
Great show thanks!
As natural a comedian as Stan Laurel, and more musical than most professional conductors!
Danny was sheer genius, and nerves of steel. A truly unique talent.
His films were legend
I had a glimpse of that incomparable genius when he was in Mumbai. That was sixty four yrs back I am eighty one now.
Love Danny kaye films and that one with the pill in the pestle sketch genius. Odd how l always thought he had a look of Dennis law 😎
Loved him so much!
LMAO! 😂Omg! What great fun! 🤣👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
"Are you laconic?"
"No, I'm quite regular"
Un grande,lo tuve a 3 metros en una cantina en el arish en 1973
A god of entertainment alighted in Russell Harty's studio for 25 minutes... thank heaven it was caught on film for us all to see
que guapo .que grande.Cuanto te echo de menos.Gracias por hacerme reír en mi infancia .Eres grande .
THE ONE AND ONLY DANNY KAYE!
Would that the world had more Danny Kaye type entertainers in it. There's a little less sunshine and a lot less laughter without men of his caliber.
They're quite flirty with each other
OMG…it’s governmentese or speak ! I love this man. He is hilarious.
the only person who could come within a few miles was Robin Wlliams
QUE PENA QUE NO LO TRADUZCAN AL CASTELLANO
BAHAHAHAH!!! THAT song is on the SESAME STREEET!!!! about..." There's a Hole in the Bucket.. Dear Liza Dear Liza.... There's a Hole in the Bucket Dear Liza a Hole!">> hahahahhaahhaha
I found the interviewer sadly lacking...
