THAT is my idea of a yacht. Classic deign, beautifully re-finished and updated. Absolutely love the interior with all that wood, complimented with the calm neutral creams of the upholstery and carpets. Wonderful! Thanks for the in-depth tour!
Yep, same here! If you had the choice between this and one of the Princess' or Fairline superyachts.... not a difficult choice! Individuality and gorgeous lay-out.
@@DrClumber Absolutely. Don't get me wrong, I think many of the Princess, Sunseaker, Fiarline etc. are beautiful boats. But as you say, the individuality of things like these win out every time. And, in the case of this one, that it has been so beautifully updated (looks a lot more modern than 2008 too!) which has extended its life massively, makes it a beautiful thing in its self.
I watch just about all these tours ( and dream of course ! ) but this is the very best for the money and a real step back in time when it was class and style over image to impress !
By far my favorite superyacht, Nick--it puts the "class" in "classic!" Not ostentatious at all, but full of luxury and quality--wow!

That's a yacht from a different era, and yet the rebuild made it perfectly modern. Love how it gives you a little bit of that miniature classic cruise ship vibe. Thanks for the tour!

After his unseemly issues with the Russian royal family, I'm glad he was able to partner up with Abeking to build these beautiful boats. Saying this is a yacht built for Royalty is not that far off the mark. It is a wonderment to think of this floating villa out at sea, wrapping its occupants in luxurious safety. Wonderful tour, Nick. Glad I asked for a viewing, what a great rebuild, I love these older yachts cause they look like a yacht should with a proper bow shape and classic lines, the plush lounge with proper sofas. That front area is turn through 180 deg so you could have a large screen tv for movies and sound system but still have separating to look out those windows.
Total jaw drop at the size comparison - when you mentioned sizes - between the 2 yachts either side. Just wow and wow again. Nice wee study office / chillout snug space main deck forward. Very nice indeed. I'd be in there most of the time..... Yes, watching tele haha

I like the high glose light color wood choice give a spacios feeling the nice salon occur with beautiful sliding doors great only I would change the office in a dining room so there is a beautiful look around 5 sleeping rooms all ensuite a a big master looks great a big engine room Thanks again Nick what a show

What a delightful old gal this boat is and with her refit/rebuild she's good for another thirty - forty years of service at least. I have to agree with your idea of leaving that forward section on the main deck, with it's PC and gaming abilities my lot would call that home for sure. Again I have to draw a comparison between American built yachts and the equivelent European models, this appears so much more welcoming and comfy.

What a bost well nearly a Ship - Great price cant fault love the layout, Decor, and the amount of room for everyone including the crew.
She is a beautiful piece of nautical history brought lovingly up to date. She is stunning in every way and I would love to spend 6 months on her cruising the Caribbean and then transatlantic into the Med!….. Maybe 12 months then! Great tour Nick and I wish everyone a happy Easter 🐣

Nick, I saw another video on this yacht but your presentation was much more appealing. You highlighted the classic design and the quality of the A&K finishing. I would open up the Sun Deck as it is cluttered.

Its got to be your find of the century. Its a nod to the old age of sea travel such as the décor found on the Queen Mary, Elizabeth, Normandie and the France. And the new QM2 is not to be left out either, I have been very lucky to travel on it twice. The forward "Den" is just excellent. A remodeling of your living room at the big picture window perhaps?
Infact I could happily live on the boat/ship if were dropped into my garden. I live a half mile from the sea so the Boston Whaler would need to come back.😄 The craftmanship to achieve the quality of woodwork is a pleasure to see.
As for the carpet in the engine room!! And with all your years experience in selling boats and journalism , if you say its a water maker I'll take your word for it. Wonderful keep 'em coming

She is a great looking yacht. I usually don't like a lot of wood on any one. But there's so much light and space. It' doesn't matter. I would own this one. Thank you Nick.
What’s not to like about this vessel? Classic but modern with a whole lot of room & accommodations. Beautiful woodwork & crew areas look well kept & accommodations for crew very generous & good quality. There is really nothing missing but room to add any personal amenities if required. Thanks Nick, this is a winner in my book.👍🇨🇦🙏👌

Wow Nick.. Frist up that's a floating mansion for 6 Million. Am following you years and you've showed us much much smaller vessels for a lot more money. The kitchen is what all these super yachts are missing. It's such a pain to get the large boats into port and the yachts have a 1-3 weeks of food at the most for large numbers of guests & crew members.

It's no Gulf Craft Majesty 175 but as I have always said although raised pilot house yachts are not my favourite style of yacht but these older yachts especially those gone through overhauls/refits as this one make what I would call a great full-time live abroad floating homes. What amount of boat you get for the money,and this one is a fine example,I love the layout,the main deck is gorgeous the extension is a great addition and cabins are spacious and well appointed and so on, definitely one for my floating home list,a classic with class 🤗👌🖖

Honeslty, I really like the "vintage yacht" look more than many modern vessels. It's rare that if I were wealthy enough to buy, if I could buy this one I'd not change anything.
It's really nice and the mark up isn't bad at all.

That's just incredible.
It's a beautiful boat for sure. My only complaint is the abundance of gloss. I'm more of a "satin finish with gloss accents" type of guy, but that's more a matter of taste than a strike against quality and workmanship.

This is another that has quite a dated layout and decor that still works for the modern era. I have to say, though, my favourite cabin was the larger of the newly added aft ones. I like the expansion and there's a lot of space for crew to work, although the sheer size of the boat probably helps in that regard.

Yet another excellent tour of a superb yacht. It's fascinating to see you the refit has brought it bang up to date, speaking of bang up to date maybe it would be safer in these enlightened times to say 'if there's a couple running the boat' rather than a 'husband and wife'.
That is one awesome yacht, so much space and a great layout, love the colours and finishes, you would never think that it was 38 years old. Great tour Nick thank you.

Very nice, comfortable, practical and cosy for the engineer’s feet.
There is no doubt in the '80 quality was base for everything. But after it was retrofitted like this one, you cannot even tell the age. And in terms of size and comfort what you get for $6 million is a bargain. Let the alone the quality of Nick's reviews, that's 'just' another $100.000 added to the price 😏
Even though I can't afford anything like this (unless I hit a huge lottery prize) I will say that this is one of the most beautiful and functional yachts that I have seen in Avery long time. The $6m is a steal for all that this M/V offers!
