Yuki was the first handpan player I ever heard and saw on video!! Immediately after that I bought my first pan!! That was 5 years ago!! Thank you Yuki!!!💚🤙🏼☯️🙏🏼
Ambient Guitar - I wish you had written out Yuki's composition in this way: 2, 3, 3 3, 3, 2 etc etc all the way to the end. I think the scales can be whatever our handpan scale is. Right ? It doesn't have to be Yuki's exact scale. I'm sure it will sound good, more or less.
Hello ! I just discovered your utube lessons. Amazing. I have David Charrier's lessons but yours tell me so much more. I cannot wait to get lesson 8. Is it out yet ? I have an ESS - Echo Sound Sculpture. D/Bhinna (D) A C D Eb F# G A C Can I play Yuki's piece as per your lesson 6 ? Thank you so much for your help. You're WONDERFUL.
hi nice find on the rythm furtunately i own a spacedrum like yuki but i dont know if she has a different scale because i cannot figure out which notes she uses for her piece do you know the whole notes of the set? like G#4FC4C4...
would you be kind to tell me which notes I should use on Yuki's composition if my scale is F-Bb-C#-Eb-F-Ab-Bb-C#-Eb? I am enjoying all your videos thus far and hope you continue after #8 :)
Hi Ricardo, there are two tones missing in your scale, that are essential for that piece of music. ( C and a lower Ab) - that's bad luck :-( You are right, there are still at least two lessons to be done. Thank you for reminding me (i had already slight remords about it)
I really enjoy the lessons. Thank you for doing them. What scale is your handpan? I like this composition by Yuki but do not know how to translate it to my handpan which is Raga Desya Todi scale (D#) G A# C D D# F G A#. Any tips on translating the pattern to another scale?
+Lennie Williams your scale (D#) G A# C d d# f g a# reads correct (Eb) G Bb C d eb f g bb Here the beginning of the Yuki-piece transposed to your scale: eb C G G C G G d G G c G G eb G repeat that and than: d Bb G G Bb G G d G G eb G G d G
+Ambient Guitar Thank you so much for the transposition to my scale. I am really enjoying playing this part of Yuki's composition. Your lessons have made playing my handpan a joy.
Thank you so much for your lessons :) I really appreciate, you clearly have teacher qualities ! Just one question : I'm not sure to understand how the 5/4/3/2 is related to the 3/3/2... I get that 3/3/2 or 3/2/3 or 2/3/3 are very similar... but what about 5/4/3/2 ? ...or maybe they're not especially related and it's just an exercise ?
Hi Aslak Aho , thats correct, the 5/4/3/2 pattern is simply mend as an exercise. (By the way, at the moment i am working on a music-piece that's based on a 5/4/3 pattern - i should put it on my chanel when its (hopefully soon) ready. )
So I just noticed the melody... 1e part FA DAA DAA EA DAA FA repeat 2e part EA CAA CAA EAA FAA EA repeat 3e part EA CAA CAA EAA FAA EAA FAA EA FA EA FA EF EF ED ... Feel free to give your appreciation on this (or other elements if you founded them... ) thanks, Jack
Do you think it's possible to play Yuki's song if my scaling is (D) C F A D C G D A ? I tried, but it isn't sounding quite right. Not sure if i am hitting the wrong notes, if my accents and ghost notes are wrong, or if downright not possible.
hello, first of all sorry for my english im from italian part of switzerland so maybe i write some errors.second i will defenetly subscribe to this channel your lessons are very usefull. now last but not least i have a question to you so let me explain, i have a spacedrum but musically i'm not so good i tryed many times this piece of yuki koshimoto looking at your lesson and also slowing down the original video of yuki koshimoto but i have some problems to play it . could you please write down the notes of the entire piece that can help me maybe as i wrote on my spacedrum the notes maybe if you wish you could also write what hand (right or left ) i should use to play the piece thank you in advance.. greatings from Ticino switzerland
Great Lessons. Truly a need since the instrument is so new. I play banjo and this is another animal. CAn the Yuki piece be transposed with this scale? C#/ G# C C# D# F F# G# C# Eb or this (D) A C D E F G A Bb Thanks so much
+banjony Hi, the (D) A C D E F G A Bb scale fits perfect. The song starts F D A A D A A E A A D A A F A ... the same as i play in the tutorial video. The scale C#/ G# C C# D# F F# G# C# Eb needs the tone: E , to play the piece.
+Ambient Guitar IF you see this, I am slightly confused on one thing on this translation. 2,3,3 3,32 =16 notes but the translation above and one for someone else only has 15 notes.....am I missing someting? Thanks
+banjony Hi, if you let a metronome play along to the phraze, you get 16 klicks but ... ! .... as the first tone of the phraze lasts two klicks long, you have only 15 tones (or notes).
+Ambient Guitar Thanks again. I do notice when you play it "slow" you hit 16 tone fields in the first part...should i just eliminate the 2nd note? Thanks again. I owe you a beer :)

Ok, perfect, Thanks for the answer !
Looking forward to hear your new music piece ;)
Could you please write down the scale of your instrument in the top-video comment?
it is: Dingtone: D - A Bb C D E F a (the so called integral scale)
Hi, do you think I could play this piece with my scale ? ( C G A C D E G A C )
Thanks a lot for the tutorial !
So I just noticed the melody...
1e part FA DAA DAA EA DAA FA
repeat
2e part EA CAA CAA EAA FAA EA
repeat
3e part EA CAA CAA EAA FAA EAA
FAA EA FA EA FA EF EF ED ...

nice i waited a while for this will try it out tomorrow i got a spacedrum so should be good thanks

Hi traets, unfortunately .... i see now way, to play it correctly with your scale - the tone E ist missing. :-(
That is OK. It's still a lovely scale.
thanks for letting me know!
Ahhh, I have a D minor pan, but sadly my lowest note is D (not A) :(

Hi guys i'm Phillip (: Might somebody help me with this scale ? C- G Bb C D Eb F G - it's a Deep Tuning but i Hope that i can play koshimoto's piece
Play: Eb C GG C GG D GG C GG Eb G than D Bb GG Bb GG D GG Eb GG and you have the beginnig of the music (the scale is ok for the entire music)
This is certainly the best one. Or maybe next one. Or the one before hmm :)
Super Super
Leider das immer alles auf Englisch ist.
