  • In this episode I finish up all the track work for the first 2 sections and I also get all that tedious wiring done as well! I breeze through the DCC setup part so if you want to learn a bit more from a old video of mine Ill link it down below

    Great video. Glad you are posting more content. Keep it up. The wiring part was really good and was the best explaination for DCC without overcomplicating anything.

    Happy to see you're back and the new content! I took a hiatus on mine earlier in the year as well, but I'm in the track laying stage and I happen to have the same DCC setup, so these new videos are a huge help! Also, love seeing Binx!

    I fixed the tracks with nails in my N scale layout.
    Atlas and Bachmann code 80.

    Should look into the Smart booster as well, it was probably one of the best investments for my layout or even a small switching layout

    Yessir, I'm working on my train layout too. It's likely going to be a floor layout. I'll be using HO scale Kato unitrack and also an nce powercab.

    4:27 Funny how you had a BN & CN striped Canadian cab in the yard since CN had a pair in Brantford for the whole summer. The BN unit was 2098 and the CN unit was 9547 if you’re interested in finding pictures online.

    If you care about CVs then look in the manual (the blue one ) and it has a ton of good different horns to choose from , I know this because i have the same loco , Love your videos man !!! Rail on my friend.

    Are you planning to keep the layout as a switching layout or make it bigger? The layout seems very nice

      It’ll get bigger once I get farther along with these first 2 sections. Eventually it will be a full loop

    Looks nice, that switch where the gondola is shoulda been a left not a right so the yard tracks coulda been closer together

    Nice to see your layout continue to grow. What part of the US are you basing your layout on? Maybe you could create an industry that requires chemicals so you can use those sweet looking tank cars.

      Thank you! And you could solder them I suppose but using the suitcase connectors saves a lot of time

    I would love even at my age to setup a train set. But you can spend hundreds if not THOUSANDS of dollars. That is a killer for me

      It is expensive sadly but you could always get a starter set which can still be expensive but you get everything you need! Also eBay can have some good deals sometimes

      You will have to do a little wiring depending on the size of your layout. The bigger the layout the more wiring. It’s not too bad just takes a little practice and learning! I learned a lot from RUclips myself
