    Every time you feature this track loader on the channel I can't help but think about how nice it would be to have that machine here for a month or two after haying is done. What a great rig for building some real nice fire trails. Am definitely going to keep my eyes pealed for something like that locally. Great machine for this kind of job! Nick, North West Farmer

    Boy oh boy, I could sure find some use for a Loader ( or a D4 size 'dozer ) like this on my land. I could have a lot of fun building trails all over my place with this.
    This is another interesting video for me to watch during breakfast, Thanks Dennis!

    Nice! My neighbors across our road did this same thing for half a mile going down to the river. They also cleared a parking area and a campsite at the river bank. Now ATVs, RAZRs, dirt bikes and jeeps frequent that place. It's like a hidden gem that only their family and friends use. Nice video!

    After I commented, you mentioned the dozer with a 6 way blade and I think that might be a better bet for the work I want to do. Is still very wet around here for either one where I want to work and not tear things up too much

    I also have trouble with groundhogs in my old hay barn. I have a couple good dogs that are good at catching them, if they get out away from the den. They caught one 3 days ago. It sure saves on dog food. It only takes them about three days to eat one.

      My dog Sam was relentless. No matter how well fed he was, he was pure hell on the Woodchucks. I was required to keep the shovel handy. He'd lay on the lawn and gnaw on that thing until my Mother would yell.

    Especially in the very beginning it sounds like you have two microphones working at the same time (or have yourself on speaker while recording), something funny is going on there. But a video with the big track loader is a good video, that thing is a monster! I'm freaking out any time the dog and some maneuvering equipment are in the same general area, he's smart but you never know where he'll be the next second!

Glad ya do find time tho. That's gonna be a awesome ridin trail. The dog better grow another pair of eyes and ears. He seems like hes always underfoot. Thanks for another in a long line of great videos. Glad the battery held up. See ya on the next one Warren

    A easy way to show how steep of a area you are in is to tie a washer to the end of a string and attach the other end to your rear view mirror .

    I noticed in another video you were pushing up some small stumps with a Deere 700H Dozer. Which do you think is better for clearing, a Dozer about that size (30k lbs), or a 953 track loader? If you could only have one, which would you prefer or is more versitile? Right now I have a 200 size excavator and a small 455G track loader. I can grade pretty good with the track loader, but I have always wanted a Dozer, although I have never run one. We probably 50% clear and 50% grade, but only small jobs, and around the farm. I can load trucks with the excavator, so that is not a factor. Thanks for the videos!

    • @DLHFarms
      @DLHFarms  5 месяцев назад +1

      If you’re into grading get a dozer. They’re not the best for clearing but do ok. You can get a root rake to mount on the blade to help. The one I was running was a 700k. I wouldn’t want anything smaller clearing land. Smaller is fine for finish grading and slope work.
