as per my understanding, you need to provide proof of financial support. You can either submit your own bank statements or use your family member's bank statement (if they are in Canada). as per my understanding, If you want to extend your stay in Canada as a visitor, you need to provide proof of financial support. What if somebody was coming to visit for a couple of weeks and after they stay for a couple of weeks they decide that they’ve liked the place and would like to stay longer that is going to be within the 30 day period especially if they’re only coming for 2 to 3 weeks to visit. How does that work work?
When you arrive in Canada the officer will stamp the date or entry.. And also they will stamp the day you need to leave.. If they don't stamp the day you need to leave. You are eligible to stay up to 6 months from the entry stamp date....
If you want to stay longer than 6 months you must apply for extension.
