I am from the Caribbean and I remembered the first time I got a visitors visa to the US. I was so nervous. The lady asked if I was nervous. I told her yes because I saw that she was telling everyone no and I didn't want to hear no. She smiled and said everyone's case is different. I 've had my visa renewed multiple times after this. I just visit on my vacation from work and return after my two weeks or 3 weeks

Visa issuance is not a lottery. A lottery is luck. With a visa application, you actually have a lot of control. If you're a poor candidate, you can work to improve your application. Many applicants ruin their own chances because they have listened to the wrong advice. If you have had a visa in the past and misused it, then yes, you will have trouble getting a visa again. If you do not answer questions or lie, then yes, you will be refused. Listen to the person being interviewed. He is absolutely correct.

"Singing everything perfectly" , precisely what will get you denied the visa, you are not meant to recite a well rehearsed speech, you are supposed to answer questions put to you TRUTHFULLY n CLEARLY. They can tell within 2 minutes who's genuine or a coached applicant who knows nothing else outside what he/she has been coached .

The best way to get a Visa approval is to speak the truth, sometimes the application is already filled out and when the applicant get to the interview the answers are asked in a different format and thats wherebthe trick lies, speak the truth at all times because whatever you answered before its saved in their system. We were told not to talk too much because the officer may think you're nervous and trying to over talk to cover something, damn if you do damn if you dont. They already know what they want to know about you before you entered.

I approve this video. Many people probably will not going to agree because it's sound to simple how Ben explained it. From experience I got my visa in 2019 just doing exactly what they explain on this video. Believe me have never been interviewed in my life before, no one never explain to me what to do or what to say. When I was there at the embassy I actually spoke with the officer like a good friend I know, when she asked me questions I don't have the answer I said no to her, when she said why you should know it I explain why it wasn't important to know at this moment. When officer ask me questions and ask question back do I have to respond that question she was surprised and smile and said I have time you can explain it to me, the look on her face seem no one ever ask question back to an officer . Yes you can my friend. Don't be aggressive, don't talk too much, be original, know your story better than the officer because they read about you before they meet you. Don't follow step be original and stay to your story, trust me they can't Denied you if you original. I was convinced the officer so much after 3 days Arrival in the US they send me a letter says I have 11 Months to bring my Daughter in the US 😮 I was OMG can't believe it. Yes it was happend. I was thinking to do a video about that but I never did I'm glad I found your Chanel so I can share my story to people how simple is that.

If I'm being honest this has pros and cons. Sometimes you talk too much and they think you're unnecessary rambling is maybe a lie. I got denied a student visa, and wasn't suppose to, because when I went back for another interview the officer was baffled as to why I was denied. I'm mad I didn't appeal. So honestly, it depends on the officer you, get all officers are different and they issue based on their conscious 🤷🏾‍♀️

Great information. Many people, even outside of the the "visa office" are always nervous with government officials in any form. So even if you are not hiding anything, you might look guilty because you are nervous. Also, many cultures don't interact with any government officials so the shortest answers are a learned thing to get out of the office quick. Most Spot on, many countries don't do eye contact with elders or officials, so it should be a two way street of learning the culture of the Applicant and the Visa officer.

What fake marriage would do that? It hurts. We have a second interview. At least, the CO didn't deny us altogether. The entire process is so stress ful. To make matters worse, there's several people that had complaints against the same CO. God got us. I cannot WAIT to speak to the Embassy on October 12th. I am READY. I need my husband. He needs ME!

No, because it's not on the day that you went in for the interview, they are going to decided if you are qualified for the visa or not. Before your interview appointment date, there are qualified visa officers that would look over your visa application and either decide with all the things you put on the visa application if you are approved or denied. That's the part he did not say..

I had a bad experience with a visa interview who asked me aged sixtytwo years then, why I want to go to America of all places? I told him,I have just retired as a nurse & have been invited by my relation to go on holidays & see the new england states. He asked if I have traveled before,I answered yes,he got angry gave me a green sheet saying visa not granted. He must be a bad racist.

Nowdays, some of the visa officer are so rude and some of them doesn’t even give a chance to explain. Some of them are rude without any reason.

THANK U VERY MUCH MR. FORMER VISA OFFICER. I WENT TO THE UNIVERSITY OF IDAHO AND THE UNIVERSITY OF MASSCHUSETTS IN EARLY 70's. Prior to that I Was An Exchange Student Sponsored By An Agency Under The State Department. After Graduate School I Returned Home In 1974. In 1976 I Went Back To The States For An Intensive Training Course At The World Bank. In Those Days We Never Had Any Problem Of Getting Our Visas. In Fact We Never Thought About Being Rejected. Now People Have Sleepless Nights Before The Day Of Visa Interview. In Fact The Whole Family Goes To The Embassy And Stay Outside The Compound Praying To God Or Allah To Soften The Heart Of The Visa Officer To Issue The Visa. If The Visa Is Rejected The Whole Family Is In Mournig For Days. If Accepted It Is Happy Days. How Time Has Changed? After 33 Years I Applied For A US Visa. Thanks For The Visa Officer My Request Was Accepted Without Much Ado. Since then my visa has ben renewed two times for a 2 year period each. I am grateful to Uncle Sam. I pray He Lives For Ever Like God Himself. From Ethiopia. 🎉

You may do everything and these pple still deny you visa. Take note of one thing he said, 'they see you guilty' before interview. I hope one day Africans will get what they want in their countries.

In a situation where by you no longer work at the company you put down in your DS 160 form and the company isn't longer funding your trip and now you have your own operational business and you are funding your trip yourself. What do you suggest one do?

I'm here because my US citizen uncle has applied for an I-130 sibling petition for us 15 years ago. I was wondering whether those questions are related to the questions that the interviewers ask before deciding whether to give someone a permanent residency or not😄😄. Thanks alot for the video !

Very insightful discussion. My take; Maintain your focus and communicate naturally. Eye contact is very cardinal, else it is assumed you may be telling lies.
    Thanks Bro Fred

What about neuro divergent people who cannot look you in the eye when they speak. Does that mean they are Liars?😢

@@ifeomaowosuyi4198I disagree with them about eye contact... sometimes your competence is more important than eye contact even when working in a hospital...you can be a sweet talker but you can't handle patients in a professional manner, or you misdiagnise....if u are shy, try to cover it up by being professional n doing ur research in advance....if it's a condition in your eyes, they should not disqualify you based on that coz that is discrimination
