I love that there are finally dual analog PC/android controllers that don't use that offset Xbox design. I picked up the ZD-C601 (wired) a while back and then found the Gamesir ones a little too late to change my order. The ZD isn't a bad controller, but I would have preferred a GameSir. (I am aware there are Logitech controllers but they have never held up well for me.)
just got mine in from gearbest on a flash sale for $22. they only had the black one. came in a newer designed box then yours and also came with a nice velvet bag to put everything in. very nice controller thanks for the recommendation!
yeah it's awesome been playing some bully anniversary edition on my phone and tablet. also tried some star wars kotor and the controller worked very well. love it
Omw I've been looking for someone who still has one!! Since it's so old I can't find any reviews saying whether its compatible with windows 11 or not. Please tell me does yours work on windows 11?
I own the orange one and it is a decent controller the only thing i don't like about the controller is the D-Pad as it feels thin and not that great of a feeling when it comes down to playing games like Street Fighter.
I have had an extremely poor experience with this controller, bought two both consistently disconnected when using the dongle on pc and rpi, ended up buying a ps4 controller and I aint looking back, just my experience :)
mrblackrock555 I have this controller as well and constantly keeps disconnecting from retropie with usb dongle, I though it was some bad configuration. Maybe trying to connect Bluetooth directly to retropie, but I dont know if thats possible.
@@vitorstreetboys apparently they have improved now, but hell im still using the same DS4 controller since making that original comment and im loving life chilling and kicking back to play games on PC :) wireless or wired too!
There will be a g5s controller coming out on January 28,2018. I got an email from gamesir and I was like awesome. Plz reply and make sure to do a review. If not am gonna cry.
could you make a video on how to setup the bluetooth on the Rpi ...I have gotten it to see it sometimes but when picking the security it gives an error Can you advise?
Just bought 2 of these, after a week of experimentation i can say for sure that these are not worth it (at least not the wireless ones), connection via dongle is awfull if you plan to use this to play in a couch or a bed, and via dongle or bluetooth, if you connect 2 controllers at the same time, prepare for disconnet and lag 24/7, build feels really good, so definetly, if you plan to play this in anything tha is not a phone straped to it, pick the wired one, it is very ergonomic and i like the feel to it, but man, third party wirelless controlores need to step up (except 9bitdo, you cool, expensive, but cool).
What kind of range are you getting on the dongle? I have been unimpressed with mine. Range on shield tv seemed weak. And on my PS3 it would randomly go wonky. Bluetooth on Android has been solid.
Is it possible to pair this controller on retropie via bluetooth, again I would like to know if two of these controllers would connect via bluetooth, and function properly. I am really interested in getting two of them. Thanks again ETAPrime for your good videos.
BEWARE Often it will not stay connected with the dongle, especially if you try 2 or 3 dongles at once. I regret purchasing these controllers as the dongles seem to interfere with each other. If you only use one at a time its probably ok tho.
Brian Mejia I own this one and it is working really good GameSir G4s Bluetooth Wireless Gaming Controller for Android/Windows/VR www.amazon.ca/dp/B01HNXGKT6/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_9WjOzbHKBSYG7
Yeah, but what you're not telling people is you can hit START + SELECT to back out of a game until you're blue in the face and it won't do it. All that does in MAME is adds a coin and restarts the game. The only way I could get out of the game is to unplug the Raspberry Pie and plug it back in and pray my data doesn't get corrupted. The people at Gamesir told me to push the "home" button to back out of a game and that doesn't work either. Maybe it works on a console game (I haven't tried that yet because I'm afraid of needing to unplug the Raspberry Pie again so I basically can't play my Raspberry Pie until I get some kind of a decent answer that actually works). If you have a Raspberry Pie, DON'T buy this piss-poor controller.

+Matthew Fiore sweet! Ever since I made this video I’ve used the controller everyday. I haven’t charged it in over a week now and it’s still going
yeah it's awesome been playing some bully anniversary edition on my phone and tablet. also tried some star wars kotor and the controller worked very well. love it
I got this thing about a year or so ago, and i love this controller!
2022 and I still use this controller
Omw I've been looking for someone who still has one!! Since it's so old I can't find any reviews saying whether its compatible with windows 11 or not. Please tell me does yours work on windows 11?
This controller rocks. Got the orange one. I use it with my phone and my pi. $30, you can't go wrong.

works fine with cable... :( sucks

Thanks for all the good review you make. It is really appreciated!!
Interesting. I like the analog/d pad placement. Will check these out.
Can you pair it with bluetooth on the RPi?
I have 2 of the gamesir4's coming.
They look great for the price.
What was your experience like? I want to get two and use them both as P1/P2 in emulators on Windows. Did it work for you?
The cost for the black one is $33 usually $80

Shanique Burke shut up bitch
Love your videos, mate. Keep up the awesome work :)

Hi can i connect multiple gamesir controllers to retropie through Bluetooth?
This controller is GREAT! Love it when using HappyChick.
I have the G3f controller. It has a dongle. I plug it into my Pi 3 and nothing happens. Will the G3f work with Retropie??
Just bought 2 of these, after a week of experimentation i can say for sure that these are not worth it (at least not the wireless ones), connection via dongle is awfull if you plan to use this to play in a couch or a bed, and via dongle or bluetooth, if you connect 2 controllers at the same time, prepare for disconnet and lag 24/7, build feels really good, so definetly, if you plan to play this in anything tha is not a phone straped to it, pick the wired one, it is very ergonomic and i like the feel to it, but man, third party wirelless controlores need to step up (except 9bitdo, you cool, expensive, but cool).
how about 2 controllers on retropie? some b/t controllers will lag once a second controller is paired

How do you pair via bluetooth on PC? The Gamesir doesn't provide any driver for PC.
Olá!
Não consegui utilizar o hotkey para retorna os jogos no controle.
O que devo fazer?
How is the D pad? Can you shoryuken with ease?

Dieter Jacobs They can connect to anything that has bluetooth capability.
does this controller connect to the raspberry pi via bluetooth (without the USB dongle)?
Hey how do you remove the shader on the psx emu, it’s so annoying! Thanks
you know if this control also works on respberry pi3 recalbox system?
What to do if you're 2.4ghz usb dongle is lost?
Has anyone tried this controller with pc fps games? Like, are the sticks good for precise aiming? Looking to play it with fortnite btw
Does it work for Fire HD 10 tablets from Amazon?
Min registers as a keyboard. HELP PLS! Thanks
Can you do ps3 afterglow setup please
Quick question I have the t95z plus Android TV box and I saw before you have one. Do you know if this controller works on that device?
+Sourcefed Nerd yes it does. You can pair it with Bluetooth or the dongle.
ETA PRIME thanks just wanted to double-check
please make a video on connecting the gamesir with the ps3.
I keep having problems and I read the papers and still the plus control won't work
Bert Ontiveros you could try the USB dongle
Jonathan Dagnillo I did and the dpad doesn't work still
Did you set up the controller in the controller configuration from Emulation Station
o meu é horrivel no pc via 2.4ghz
It loosk interesting
Gamesir isn't bad, but it isn't a personal favorite for ergonomics.
BEWARE Often it will not stay connected with the dongle, especially if you try 2 or 3 dongles at once. I regret purchasing these controllers as the dongles seem to interfere with each other. If you only use one at a time its probably ok tho.
Did you ensure it worked on iOS?
Timothy Baxter I will pair it up right now. Give me a second because I know not all games work with controllers in iOS.
Happy chick works but I can't get asphalt or dead trigger working with it.
I don't own an iOS device but it does work because i did a small test on my sisters phone instead.
Don't buy if u will use on retroarch. It connects but not always. And will act buggy most of the time
I'm used to using Xbox controllers for my PC so the dpad placement might be a deal breaker for me.

What button did you set up as your hotkey?
Select.
And how do you get the analog sticks to work?
Bloody roar was the 💩
purecharm3 correction.. Bloody Roar is the 💩
