Oh, my gosh, I have all the ingredients on hand and know what I am having for lunch in an hour! Thank you, Dan-yul. It looks fantastic. Okay, I am off to look for those "confident, big-boy bubbles"! 😉🤣😄
Dear Future neighbor, from watching your video for the first time then subscribing your channel, watching every single video uploaded by you every time. I want to tell you that I’m your subscriber from past 2 years and still counting. I’ve tried making many dishes made by you on your channel and all of them are really so good. I’ve also comment on few of your videos and you’ve replied on few of them. I really want to thank you for teaching us how to cook Korean food easily which taste so good. Thank you so much for always being so sweet to your subscribers. You make your subscribers day by replying them back. Thank you so much ❤️
Thanks so much for making these videos! As an adopted Korean, I didn't grow up eating much Korean cuisine. With your help I'm learning to cook more and more Korean dishes!
👍🏼Enjoying joy watching the two of you. What I like most is that you show and translate the items you use along with the dishes and help in the pronunciation.
Mmmm! This looks so delicious! I've always wanted to make this and now I can! Thanks so much Daniel! Thank you for always bringing a taste of Korea into our homes. 😁
떡볶이랑 김말이 정말 맛있다 🥰 I love gimmari and tteokbokki (I'm never quite sure how to spell the romanisation lol). One of my favourite combinations in the whole world. I always buy the frozen ones but I have to try this recipe! 지훈씨 감사합니다
Thank you for the tip on the batter!! I didn't know the point of using cold water and then keeping it cold with ice. I will try that later tonight when I make some Tempura mushrooms and asparagus.
i was going to go to korea in may but had to cancel my trip because of corona. i was soooo looking forward to street food so i might just have to make my own now!
Was thinking the same thing.. for the amount of "crunch" on the outside, I rather save the calories... or really batter the thing in a thick coating and then fry... this seems... half baked.. HA.. see what I did there?!?!
What's the frying mix made of? I need to make it myself, as it needs to be kosher. By the way, this is by far the most useful and comprehensive recipe I've seen for 김말이! Great job!👍😊
that is such a unique concept!! maangchi had a video where she put rice paste on the gim, dried it and fried it so i'm wondering if you could cover them in rice flour and leave them to dry up in the fridge then fry them to make em EXTRA crispy! :D
Is it possible to freeze the rolls before cutting them into thirds and deep frying? Will that change anything? Great recipe, cant wait to try making these 😁
The first time I tried kimmari is inn a korean mart on my city. I didnt know what to expect but it tasted like its unseasoned, it literally tasted only plain noodle and seaweed, not even salty or anything. Is it supposed to be like that? Tastes plain bcs it has to be eaten with something else like tteokbokki? Thankyou for the recipe btw, always love ur videos!
Hey man, so I see your rice cooker in the back, and I use to have a cheap model, but now I've been shopping for a better one. Any tips on what to look for.
Depends where you live. If you go to big Korean groceries also sell Korean brand rice cooker. Koo koo brand electric pressure rice cookers are the most popular and they cook really nice rice.
I've tried making it, but it absorbed like so much oil.. is it bcs I made my own flour mixture and there's something wrong with it? Or it was actually supposed to oily???
New to your channel you are amazing😘 do you have a recipe for the red noodles I couldn’t hear the name🤗 my son loves your cooking he loves spicy 😎 thank you❤️
Mmmm! This looks so delicious! I've always wanted to make this and now I can! Thanks so much Daniel! Thank you for always bringing a taste of Korea into our homes. 😁

Guy, my Taiwan friend stuck with your yummy Korean food, now he don't like chinese food, he හේ, he.......... Waiting for your new recipes,
I'll definitely give this a go, but I'll airfry the rolls for a healthier version.
How were the results?
Was thinking the same thing.. for the amount of "crunch" on the outside, I rather save the calories... or really batter the thing in a thick coating and then fry... this seems... half baked.. HA.. see what I did there?!?!

Did Katie attend a taping of the Korean show Sugarman? I am pretty sure I saw her as an audience member.

I keep wondering why your timer is wrapped in cling foil?! Love the recipe!
Kimchi Kat probably to keep the dust/dirty finger prints out, kinda like how some Asians wrap their remote controls with cling foil too :)
Oil splatters onto the air vents when we cook... gets the buttons all sticky!
Future Neighbor Ahhhhh! Should have thought so! Thanks!
The noodles, 0% Fat, 0% Trans Fat but 100% Carbohydrates 😂
ALL THAT GOODNESSSSSS.
i did this but i was impatient so i eat the whole mix🌝🌝
I've tried making it, but it absorbed like so much oil.. is it bcs I made my own flour mixture and there's something wrong with it? Or it was actually supposed to oily???
Hi there! If it absorbed oil, that means the oil temperature was bit low. Higher temperature will keep it from tasting oily
Hi from India☺
Last time I was this early I had to wait outside
I was too curious how Gimmari is made..I've watched In The Soop BTS season2 ep.1 Jungkook cooked this.😊💜
New to your channel you are amazing😘 do you have a recipe for the red noodles I couldn’t hear the name🤗 my son loves your cooking he loves spicy 😎 thank you❤️

can i use japanese nori sheets for this? i can't get any other
Yes they are the same.
For those who doesn’t like onion, what can I replace it with?
Maybe cabbage? Different flavor profile but will provide that thick veggie feeling.
I need to stop watching your videos when I am hungry.....
It kinda looks like the middle eastern grape leaves
Korean carrots are hella thicc lol
If you're not using scissors while cooking food, are you even Korean?
wait but i thought im the only one whos having the pet peeve of using too much oil 😂
eat with the right hand please.
