Maestro, thank you very much from the bottom of my heart for your time and dedication of sampling this great library👏👏👏👍👍. I bought the professional version. It gave me goosebumps when I’m playing the library on my setup. Kudos to you and the other string players who dedicated their time of giving us this awesome library!👏👏👏👍👍
I used to go swimming with Paul years ago. I'd always say shall we go down the little silver ladder thing and get acclimatised to the water slowly, and he'd say no let's dive straight in.
I can't put into words how in love I am with this library and how amazing are the results I'm able to get. I especially love combining 3-5 legato tracks instead of using the ensemble. It takes a bit more time to program but it's really worth it, feels super alive and organic.
@@spitfireaudiollp on the webpage for these strings there is a lot of big pop, name drops, but no examples of the strings being used in that context. How about Christian doing a rock/pop/soul "how to" with these strings? That would be amazing!
SPA makes everyone addicted. But what I - as musician - really appreciate that behind their philosophy & fiery enthusiasm they are the greatest players on the musical instrument, called " studio environment/s" :-)
I’m lucky enough to own a fair few solo string libraries which are wonderful, but this is something very different, and very special! Kudos to Spitfire, very very well played! Instant purchase!
Spitfire Audio.. can you PLEASE stop releasing so many good libraries so close together. :D Seriously I can't afford all this.. and I am just a hobbyist.. this is amazing!
Fabulous introduction and yeah to hear these sounds, in this way at our finger tips, to inspire us all, is very special indeed. Blessings and gratitude. Wonderful ☀️
This company is rather addictive. The next four hours are going to be like waiting for the sweet/candy shop to open. Then when it opens, I'll buy those sweet sweet sounds and roll around in them like Scrooge McDuck in money. Update: I'm not buying these sweet sweet sounds :(
I’m hearing that very ADT you’ve captured here and those reverbs you’ve got there now need to jump out of the box and be issued in plug in form for all our vocal/instrument takes everywhere. This will put the whole mix in the room, Imagine that 👍❤️👍❤️👍❤️👍🙏
Great ! He mentions the strings on Eleanor Rigby . The sound of the cello on Rigby is remarkable . They’re using a string quintet, not a quartet. Rather than doubling the violas, they added an upright contra bass . This looks like studio two. The room the Beatles built. They’re even using analog technology, and vintage Neumann condensers . What’s not to love …
@@thehatofmysteries I recommend a podcast called “Producing The Beatles” if you’ve not heard it. It’s excellent and one of the episodes concentrates solely on the recording of “Eleanor Rigby”.
No doubt - Spitfire libraries sound very well sampled - excellent recording chain, instruments and players, and orchestrators. Good job. Well done. Aspirational.
The passion of you both when describing this is inspirational, and that's even without hearing the strings! Absolutely sublime sounding instrument. Well done, Spitfire!
Congrats to the Spitfire team! Just listened to Lucie Treacher's Jetsam demo, a gorgeous sound. But no matter how wonderful: when do we get our ARO legato's???
A little disappointed to be honest. Does anyone want to buy the stuff I bought in the black Friday sale? The laptop comes free with it. Thought there may have been a better intro discount for AR1 collection owners rather than 25% for intimate strings owners. I'm confused. I'll have to pass on this one. I'd hoped for a bolt on for AR1, not a whole new studio 2 library.
Yes i'm confused as well.... I just bought Abbey Road One on sale and don't know why such a release is released JUST after such a sale. Maybe I'd have chosen the new one instead of the older one when i would have know of this... a discount for abbey road owners would be fair anyway....
@@m_jasionowski I'm not too fussed now. I just placed all the solo strings together in a kontakt patch and the result will do me for now. I can't deny that the detail in AR2 is soooo much nicer, but I only bought solo strings a few months ago, so I can't justify this spend right now. I'll just have to remain mildly jealous of those who have bought it.
Dear Spitfire, please stop releasing products. I've had both of my kneecaps shot off now, if I don't pay them off for the last products, they've threatened to set my shins on fire. I'm now having to loan more money to buy this.
Any plans to release a library for Disco-style strings? Optimised for the typical fast runs, swells and decorative techniques like falls and portamentos? That sounds good together with a funky brass section? I currently use your Chamber Strings for that, but there's IMHO room for improvement on that.
Hmm, would say that Chamber Strings works very well for Disco-style strings. Tons of articulations, dry enough if needed. Doubt Iconic Strings would do a better job here, but YMMV.
@@petersvan7880 Yes, they sound good as disco-strings, but are a bit hard to programm for that purpose and the typical runs ending in a sustained are difficult for most string libraries.
None of their libraries require any of their other libraries to my knowledge. They all function independently from each other. However, all of the Abbey Road Scoring Selections are housed in the same plugin. They're integrated but don't require each other to work, like different members living in the same house.
If anyone is looking for IT, this is where IT is, I think? I don't know exactly what IT is, but IT sounds like a cool version of IT. Anyway, I'm interested in IT.
Gagliano and I had such fun recording this, and the sound here is just amazing!

😂 excellent

No way I can afford another sample library at the moment but my God! this sounds incredible 🙂 Some day!
Talk about hitting a home run. Stellar library!
I purchased the pro version while Paul was demonstrating ❤️
Finally! Very interested by this release.

Is it possible to take the ensemble system and put it in BBCSO pro ? It would be marvellous.
I hope Paul is very excited today 😁
Finally a proper competitor to LASS, with the sound of Abbey Road, woah!
Ok, TAKE MY MONEY!! Love, thank you, brilliant as always Spitfire Audio

First BBC and now this. Superb!!

I gasped when you hit the first notes. This sounds like history.
We boomer composers will want a chamber strings version to go along with this. 44321 maybe. Love this sound so much.
Suddenly glad I held off on grabbing the Sacconi Quartet during the BF sale.
String Quintet. I want this one.

Sounds absolutely incredible and exactly what I’ve been looking for. Core or Pro….?🤔
How does this stack against Sacconi strings?
Please sample a piano in the same space with the 2 core mixes. This would be a really great pairing.
Sounds very nice.
How does this layer with AR-One?
Here we go!
Wish I had the money to get spitfire plugins. They are without a doubt the best out there
I wonder how good is it for doing fast runs?

Fantastic! 🙏🏻
Don’t really need another set of strings. But those do sound great. Just like Eleanor Rigby!
IMPORTANT! Don't buy this if you are not 100% sure you need it, once you download the library, you'll never get your money back!
Sounds great but I'm curious to know if there is rebow control and a more gradated vibrato than what can be found in Spitfire Solo Strings.
Whoa. I need a contest for an opportunity to win this! 🙂🤣
So, Core has no portamento in the legatos? Going by the stated specs in the FAQ.
Yeah, they mention that in the video.
@@TommieKelly they kind of mention it. A little unclear. The specs say NO PORTAMENTO.

There's definitely a mistake with the pricing on the website. Not the same price on the main AR2 page and the individual core and pro pages.
