I don’t know what to say other than this is absolutely brilliant. For those who were completely blown away by the thought and technology that went into creating Murmurations, but may not be able to squeeze out the cash for as quickly as they would like (global inflation is real). Your company has come out with this product, which is absolutely gorgeous and immediately accessible! The bundle is an excellent move to.👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Wow, we couldn’t have put it better ourselves! Thank you so much for your kindness and support 🙏 the main thing is that we want everyone to be able to have access to the tools to be their best selves whatever their situation! 🌍
Dear Mr. Henson, Thank you so very much for remaining yourself, after all the upheaval which you undeservedly had to go through during the not so distant past years. Your philosophy on what makes a company, what makes a good product and having the curiosity, inventiveness and enthusiasm is always consistent and heartfelt. Because, my small business suffered great losses during the Covid years, I am slowly able to start a savings plan again, and still have hope to one day visit England where I have some close friends. Besides these friends, you are one person I'd like to meet, simply to shake your hand and thank you in person. I wish you lots of luck with your new company and health and happiness to you and all your family. - Brian Cooper, Shinkai Studio, Japan
I just bought the small string gestures package and I purchased it for two reasons. The first reason is that it sounds so beautiful and looks to be something that's going to be very fun to explore. The second reason is because I love this company and what you've already given me for free in the vault. Crow Hill clearly has a true dedication to beautiful sounds and exploration and those are two things I value very highly. Wishing you all the best. John
Thank you so much John, wishing you all the best too! We know you’ll have a blast with the 2 of them, so have fun exploring you sonic explorer! We really appreciate your support for everything that we’re trying to do, we’ll keep working our very hardest to keep it up!
At first, I thought SSG was just bundled with Murmurations for new purchases, and I thought 'shame it's not free for people who already bought SM but fair enough, business is business…' but then I realised it IS free to me! You guys really are offering the best customer experience of any sample library company…any software company of any kind come to that.
This Library sounds soooo much like Jonny Greenwood. AND IM ALL IN. This is honestly one of the most beautiful/realistic string libraries I have ever heard. You’re a genius.
Amazing work, your commitment to purity of sound and depth of feel is incredible. Crow Hill is THE place to go to for quality orchestral plug-ins. We stand with you Christian
I've been writing a piece with Murmurations but haven't quite got it right yet, it's sounding just a bit too busy for the composition.. and then THIS comes out and it's like you knew what I needed! This sounds PERFECT, and thanks for the promo : )
Thank you so much for your appreciation 🙏 there’s no such thing as a bad composer, it’s all about expressing yourself and trying to unravel all your feelings into sounds. You’ve got this! 🫵💪
I saw a couple of comments offering some pushback and some criticism that was kind of valid earlier. Those seem to be gone and it's just overly positive comments all over. Nothing against your stuff, but the idea that you straight out eliminate comments that aren't great is kind of lame.
Any chance someone can answer the following regarding Murmurations..... I've been asking and emailing how to make the murmurations happen sooner.. I bought the String Murmurations and for the life of me can't figure out how to make the gestures happen sooner... I'm not always holding long 1/2 bar long chords and would love to be able to have the murms/gestures change far more quickly.. Anyone know how???
I'd really appreciate that.. It's been driving me nuts... I think being able to speed up or slow down when the gestures/Murms happen would be GAME CHANGING.@@TheCrowHillCo
@@TheCrowHillCo Ah Sir that's not fair now, blaming it on the Scots! :) It is conveniently blurred, at times, by the camera's depth of field setting, but it's there for a reason, I have no doubt! :) Anyhow I'd like to say thank you for the amazing Attic grand you have made available for us free of charge in your Vaults series. That is such an inspiring and nice sounding instrument, very detailed, I absolutely love it!
Thank you for this. Sometimes it is the small things that get used more then these big expansive libraries. I am using all your free stuff in a current project. I do have String Murmurations but it crashes on load up. I reinstalled many times to my sample drive and the default system drive on a mac and it works in Cubase once but by the next day when "enabling" the track or loading it into any other DAW, it crashes the DAW completely. I reinstalled over 10 times. Will contact support at some point to figure this out.
I heard this and in a day or so had to download it. I don't need the full String Mumurations, but it too has some beautiful sounds beyond anything I have heard at the moment. Over the last couple weeks I started blending Small String Gestures with Arturia's Augmented Strings, then Heavyocity's Vocalise 3 (melodic phrases), and finally Aska Matsumiya's Crystal Bowls from Spitfire Audio. The last three I have also run through a buss with some Arturia effects - Delay Eternity, Rev Intensity, Efx Fragments. With some fiddling around you can get the Vocalise phrases to stick out with just a bit of florish using a slight increase in velocity response. The gesturing of the Small Strings and the other sounds swirling allows you to give some control and variation that is astounding. Some of these newer tools are nothing but magical. Sometimes things come together in ways you don't expect and I have to say I love it.
amazing and achingly beautiful new instrument - special thanks for the consumer friendly pricing that fits very well in a tradition of labs and originals...
Thank you, you’ll hear us say this a million times, but our ethos is that we want everyone to be able to join in on the fun! That’s why we started our free VAULTS, which will always be free 😁
i mean no negativity, it's a genuine question, but given the nature of it, wont, in some way, make music made by different people sound a bit reminiscent or even similar?
I think that will absolutely happen with these with some, possibly most users. Some folk though will make things that are incredible and very original, if they combine this library with others intelligently.
There’s no such thing as a bad question! 🙏 that’s the great thing about tools, you can look at the same piece of string, and see completely different uses for it 😊 that’s also why there’s an option to increase or decrease the gestures so that you have a large pallet to work with - not to mention the synth presets that our developers have crafted 😁
Stunning. Absolutely gorgeous sound. Congratulations everyone there at Crow Hill. At a time when so much destruction and despair fills the world, it’s things like this that restore my faith in humanity.
Nice presentation, but I hated the string sound. The most beautiful string sounds I've heard send a tingle through your spine as it wafts into your brain, and this definitely was not that.
My biggest concern with this is the lack of control? How do I control what instruments (bass, cello, viola, violin 1 violin 2 play) do what? Would this be available in a future update?
I am not hearing bow hair sounds in the demos as much as I do when I am playing the same sounds. What controls in the player can be applied to reduce the strength of these bow hair sounds? The higher the register the more prominent they are. It would help if you share your settings to achieve the same sounds with less irritating bow hair sounds. Thanks

It's always fun to see you recording a video in the studio. With all the synths buttons, knobs and lights in the background, it almost feels like you are in spaceship or something XD
Gawd, will you lot give over? Having barely scratched the surface of Murmurations in all its lusciousness you now lob ANOTHER dollop of gorgeousity at me, and what's worse is it's free so I don't have the excuse of not being able to afford it! Seriously, I have no idea how you do it but I'm so grateful that you do. You continue to care about your community, creating good relations. I think it will go very well with Hainbachs plug-ins. So much to discover and so little time. Thank you again for this continuing innovate journey that enables us to discover, innovate and doing what we love the most. And thank you!
Thank you so much! We’re working our very hardest to make sure that our little group of people like us have the tools and resources they need and want! 🙏
It's like an extension/similar idea to Ben Oster houses pathfinder libraries. Also awesome and almost like a solo version of this.
Very lovely, all of them
Wow! Sounding great, and what a nice gift! Truly appreciated! Thank you!
Thank you, we really appreciate you being a part of our journey!
Michael Nyman meets Alan Silvestri at their best. Lovely.
It's always fun to see you recording a video in the studio. With all the synths buttons, knobs and lights in the background, it almost feels like you are in spaceship or something XD
It definitely feels like the enterprise in there 😅 but we absolutely live for those days in the studio!
Instant buy.
First! Love the UI, simple yet powerful.
Kinda makes you think….why don’t plugin designers take a look at the most generic midi controllers and lean into it….
Thank you! We wanted to make it functional and beautiful at the same time 😁
@@Harrysound we could but then it wouldn’t be as fun as making something new 😅
Gawd, will you lot give over? Having barely scratched the surface of Murmurations in all its lusciousness you now lob ANOTHER dollop of gorgeousity at me, and what's worse is it's free so I don't have the excuse of not being able to afford it! Seriously, I have no idea how you do it but I'm so grateful that you do. There are no libraries quite like this and Murmurations, it's larger sibling (though other companies will be sure to follow your lead - or try to) and the price point represents exceptional value. Stunning work, and thank you.
This is absolutely wondrous! Looking forward to a bright future for Crow Hill. I think it is fair to say we are all inspired by your work and enthusiasm for what you do.
This is wonderful , the sound is amazing 👌
