This looks really good. Been seeing little demos pop up in my feed for a while and I noticed this was posted just 1 day ago. Looking forward to seeing you complete it!
I love the progress so much! The new environments have nice details. The rocket launcher, the laser rifle’s new model, and particularly the BFG-type weapon are all designed nicely.
I remember unpackaging some of the textures from the original quake, and re-drawing them to look like crash test dummies.... and that was good. This reminds me a bit of that somehow, so thanks.
@@Secordrian thank you for your answer! I am working on a similar project myself (low poly fps) and i loved your art style from textures to models, nice work. i look forward how your game will turn out.
Woah! This is so cool. I see you got that optional third person feature going and it’s something I’ve always wanted to implement with the game I was working. How do you get the animations for the third person( world model) to always stay in sync with the first person( view model) animations? Do you use separate animation players for the view model and world model? Please tell me how it’s done. I’m a beginner and I really want to know how to do this so badly; it’s almost an obsession.
@@Secordrian It sounds like midi, but is it truly midi music, played by a software that plays midi files, or it is converted to wav/mp3/ogg format before importing to Godot?
%70 Quake
%30 Doom
Looks really good though.
30% TUROK
30% QUAKE
30% BRUTAL DOOM
10% CHASM THE RIFT
%40 Quake
%40 Doom
%20 Marathon
and just a little dash of half-life

As silly as it is, love the third person toggle!
I want to know how to do it so bad!😭
Quake/Quake II aesthetics + DOOM MIDI = All the excitement of both worlds!
I love the progress so much!

Thank you!
@@Secordrian you’re very welcome
This looks so good, the sound design is really impactful and the visuals seem very clean and juicy
Thank you!
Absolutely love the art direction! And the gameplay looks fast and the guns responsive, though maybe give the ssg a bit more punch!
It looks better than before.
I love the menu even.
The game is very quake 2 era, but the UI and music is more doom era...

Everything looks and sounds excellent, but the two red energy weapons are hard to visually tell apart
I'm in awe of how good this looks!!
Incredibly polished. Great stuff!
It's looking great! Keep it up!
One of the best games that i never played for sure.
I would love for an official release for the what would be the soundtrack.
The sound effects are great too,in my opinion, never change them.
I love your work so much
Very cool, Bateman. Now let's see its hardware requirements.

THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN WAITING FORRRRRRR AUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUGH

Would be perfect if you give him a grunt sound everytime he jumps. 😁

@@Secordrian Cool! Thanks!
love it🎆
I love this game
so retro...
The aesthetic is very reminiscent of half life 1, is there going to be a story?
I haven't decided yet, but I think I'll probably make a story about this game. thanks for watching!
hell yeah
am I the only one that sees the face of Jessie Pinkman?
Oh my... I didn't know Jessie Pinkman; his face looks really similar to this player's face.....
@@Secordrian what a nice coincidence
Hi! I want to ask a question, did you create locations in qodot?
no, I made all the levels in Blender! Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the answer!
very retro!1
멋져요!
Neat!
I love your work! Do you have any good tutorial or guide on UV mapping and rigging?
You may want to put the hands and the weapon on a different camera & viewport so that they are not affected by FOV changes 0:30
Very nice.
Impressive
Amoongus quake
It's a good release for ps1
Better then the most FPS game on steam I found lol😂
WHAT IS JESSE PINKMAN DOING
nice.
I hate the music, but everything else is awesome and I am a fan!
I know that test music is bad... Sorry, I'll change that music as fast as possible and thank you for watching and commenting!
@@Secordrian If you need some help with the music I can make something original for you. I can compose digital music..
@@Secordrian It sounds like midi, but is it truly midi music, played by a software that plays midi files, or it is converted to wav/mp3/ogg format before importing to Godot?
I think the best fit for this game would be some atmospheric music similar to Quake 1 or Blood 1
@@linuxrant it's midi file (I used godot midi player)
Cool
nice
cool
Character controller based on rigid body or kinematic?
nice, but i think these ui noises are too annoying. And will there be a demo?
I'll change that sound soon and thanks for watching
how long did it take to make ?
I cant't remember exactly, but it probably took about 4 months to get this
