- Here is a watch I bought from a Vietnam veteran, who now at the age of 91 decided he doesnt need material posessions anyomore, and he sent me the weatch .
My first task is to see what I have, check the reference and the serial, so I can apply to Omega for an extract.
Next I go through the state of the watch and arrivew at a conclusion
With a watch like this the question is do I improve it, bt replacing the bezel, or do I leave it as it is. I am failey certain I will leave it as is.
The watch is now at service and I will make a part 2 showing the results.
The bezel is perfect for the context of the watch and with the engraving gives real character. The watch doesn't even need someone to tell it's story. Love it
Another great Speedmaster overview and grading lesson William - don't leave it too long for the next post....
Really good to see someone survived in Vietnam war and back with a speedy as a memory watch 👍
What a great story, thanks for sharing. I guess at one time it was priceless to him, yet now see's only value in what life he has left. Happens to us all I sooner or later I suppose.
I read an article not long ago on a gentleman that bought watches that "talked to him", this watch is surely singing, what a nice piece... I don`t mind wear and tear as long as it`s honest.
Thanks so much for this fantastic video, so helpful in starting out / hunting for first vintage speedmaster. You’ve convinced me to look for this model rather than a later version. Keep up the great work cheers

I love this channel.
This is like Speedmaster ASMR. Anthropologically powerful little objects - these worn time passage machines.
Great story and a beautiful watch. Thanks for talking us through the key points of your assessment. It is always good and informative to hear your analysis.
Amazing video, many thanks!
Glad you liked it!

Very interesting, very enjoyable video! Thanks for uploading.
Thank you for the great video
Thanks for watching1
Wouldn't it be great to see William Speedmaster101 RUclips videos making a version to see him take a detailed look at the 2022 moonSwatch ... using a wooden toothpick to delicately point out the details on the dial, the curly S in Speedmaster, DON bezel and other plastic ... euh Bioceramic parts of the new Swatch flagship 🧐
Thats funny
Love these videos. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us.
My pleasure!
Great video, much appreciated
Great video as usual!😉👍
Personally I find that bezel very attractive in its honesty. Great watch and would be over the moon (pun not intended) to have it in my collection.
Great, as always.
