Well a plugged fuel filter can cause this code because this fuel system only has one fuel filter so once it’s plugged it’s sending all sorts of contaminants through the high pressure system and when injecting this in the cylinder it cannot burn cleanly thus creating more nox than the sensor would recognize. And the air filter kinda goes hand and hand with the fuel filter. I always see a very plugged fuel filter with a air filter that’s about 10lbs heavier than factory. So long story short maintenance is what takes care of those codes and doing it properly always fixes those nox issues.
@@AD-T One more question, please: I have a 2016 6.6 2500 duramax 4X4 bought new, highway miles 80%, 45,200 miles, only use top tier fuel (Exxon and Chevron), OEM filters, religious maintanance way before due at 75% or 4000k,......think I need to have a CP3 convertion kit installed. It still has 30,000k or 5-2025 warranty on it.
Great video, looking forward for part✌🏼
Coming soon!
Great tutorial on changing the filter. Looks easy enough to do on your back in the driveway.
Yes it does!
Can you please explain why air filter and fuel filter will case nox sensor code thank for your time

@@AD-T thanks for sharing your knowledge sir
One more question: would that contaminated fuel filter destroy a CP4 pump?
On these L5Ps they don’t have a cp4 pump if that were the case then yes it would destroy them but gm went away from those and use cp3 pumps instead.
