    According to sharkbite, copper pipe should not be prepped like for soldering. It should be cut and deburred but not sanded

      That’s good to know. Thanks! Sanding It doesn’t seem to have hurt at all as none of the fittings have leaked. However it probably instant necessary to sand unless it is corroded or painted. Crud or paint could cause sealing issues.
