  • Did Ip Man manage to destroy a boxer with his wing chun skills? Who knows! But in this video Master Wong talks about how effective wing chun can be no matter who the opponent is. The harder a boxer punches, the more damage his going to get when it lands on that pointed elbow. In the new video Ip man 3, they demonstrate how effective this technique is. Watch the ip man 3 movie and you can see what his talking about.

I wonder what's the hype about Mike Tyson broke his fingers during the filming. It wouldn't be the first time. Mike Tyson also broke his hands when he fought Mitch Green. Bas Rutten even talked about Mike Tyson's punching techniques that was prone to hand injuries.

boxer punches in a fraction of a second even a begginner. like the sheet you showing on the video is fake.
no one of boxers will hit like this on video, slow and showing the intention to hit you.
you will just not have the time to rise your hand in front of your FACE no chance.
you can tel this CRAP to any who never visited box club.
i think you over all good shaped fighter and you have maybe some skills BUT !
wc is not the MA which you gained this all, maybe you visited some real MA school but dont tell sheet about WC can destroy boxer.
because you know with WC you cant do that physicly.
but anyway hope your UDEMY course will sell well and good luck for you, i will watch you. dont tell any sheet anymore.

I haven't tried your online courses, but I did a little training with one of your students, and I do have to say, the speed I was learning was insane. I have tried out plenty of martial arts, and i feel like I got further in those few lessons than I ever did with training other martial arts... My wing chun training was only 6-8 lessons or something like that, unfortunately I did have to stop, but if I can ever get back into martial arts I definitely want to be training Wing Chun and JKD again.

As i was taught by one of my older brothers who had been training in shobu kai ( narrow stance aggressive version of Shotokan) he said: fist is weaker than palm heel, palm heel is weaker than elbow, elbow is weaker than shoulder! Man i love elbows. But i still have a hell of a lot of training, conditioning and learning! Also my homemade speed ball which is a tennis ball with a rope going through the ball to the timber rafter then down to floor anchor! Great for accuracy.

    • @masterwong101
      @masterwong101  Год назад +1

Train hard. Live clean; don't let anyone bully you! Master Wong here. Your older brother's got some wise words there, my friend. In my philosophy, the fist is like a humble servant, and the palm heel is its sharp cousin, ready to deliver more power. But the elbow, oh, it's like a thunderbolt, and the shoulder is the unstoppable force behind it all. You've got the right attitude, training, and conditioning are essential. As for your homemade speed ball, that's resourcefulness right there! Accuracy is key, my friend.
Now, let's talk about WuDe virtues. Two that I hold dear are respect and perseverance. They're like twin dragons that guide personal growth and self-awareness. Respect for yourself and others cultivates discipline and honor. Perseverance keeps you going when the going gets tough. Remember, the way you do anything is the way you do everything. Train with respect and perseverance, and you'll become a force to be reckoned with.
Speaking of forces, situational awareness is crucial in martial arts. Quick evaluation of circumstances helps you adapt and make split-second decisions. Stay focused, my friend, and keep your senses sharp. This skill can save you on the streets or in the ring.
Now, if you're ready to take your training to the next level this summer, I've got just the solution for you. Wing Chun Mastery: The Ultimate Solo Training program. It's the perfect opportunity to develop your skills anytime, anywhere. And guess what? I'm offering a 60% discount just for you. Don't miss out on this chance for self-improvement. Remember, my friend, keep training, keep learning, and keep sharing your experiences. Comment below and let's continue the conversation. Train hard. Live clean; don't let anyone bully you! Master Wong. 💪🔥 #MasterWong #WuDeVirtues #SummerTraining #WingChun #TrainWithPurpose #StaySharp

@Mark Lowe it actually can break if there lucky useally shatters the whole wrist, I used to drink and use that as a reason to get into fights had a few drinking buddies where we get drunk and well sometimes us guys faught over pointless shit taken a few beatings dished out many more once I learned how dangerious a elbow to a fist is on a night where some guy claimed he was a golden glove boxer right after he said that i stood in a way to deffend myself right then and there (knew something was about to happen sure enough after he said that he came towards me fists raised) every time he punched because he was 18 i was like 20 i didn't want to badly hurt him he was way over his head, every time he punched i threw my elbow as fast as i could just like mr. wong shows it trully shattered both wrist's of the guy the next week when all of us gathered at are drinking spot he asked me to sign his cast's and said no ones ever shattered his hand let alone wrist before what did i do? i took him aside so no one else could hear and told him he didn't want to believe a elbow could do that and claimed i moved to fast for him to see exactly what i did so he still doesn't fully believe but tried and true it actually is the moment you see the shoulder move for a punch if you react always faster to throw a elbow like this then any punch, elbow hits the hand idea is you step back so where the head used to be the elbow now goes.....

You develop very interesting concepts, with great simplicity, but first and foremost, you're a great entertainer, so your students never get tired and want to keep on learning with you.
It would be nice to see you more relaxed, playing with kittens and such, because I think people need to see your gentle side, so they don't get any wrong ideas of how a proper man should behave, because you're not only fierce, which is self evident, but I also have no doubt you have a good heart, and if people stopped associating good hearts with weakness, perhaps they would stop attacking other people.
The only purpose of strength is to protect the weak.

You see someone with snap and form like this, and I don't care who you are. You're in trouble.

It's hard to see what's next when you have your elbow up, how do you make sure you can see what's next coming in so you can act on it. I love your vids thank you. Also there are uppercuts that can sneak in, how to defend this. You must be able to see these coming, or at least sense it.

In the show makunoichi ippo, The dude uses his elbows to block ippo's punches and it ends up breaking his hand after 10 or so hits to his elbow. But now i can see how that is unrealistic as in turn ippo almost broke his elbow at the same time.i think thats kinda cool as back when i watched that show i didnt know what wing chun was, and now i can see why it was so effective

style doesn't matter really. I heard somewhere, if a taekwondo masters beats another taekwondo master does that mean taekwondo is the better style? A real fighter would find a way to use his style to against his opponents.

Love the video first of all, but I think that in "anger spurs", where your opponent is very angry, they will just throw their arms at you without paying attention. Is it better to try and TARGET their fist with your elbow to break them, or to cover duck and cover your head with your arms and wait for an opening? Or can you show techniques to specifically target punches with your elbow that are coming very fast?

First of all, I want to thank you for all your dedication to this. I only got to watching your videos today, but I can already tell I am going to learn alot by watching. I got a few question that I would really appreciate if you had the time to answer.
Before you can answer properly, I should give slight background of what kind of weapon I am working with (my body in other words). I am 1.81 meters tall, I weigh 62kgs. I am very slender because of a fortunate metabolism. I have to eat all day long. So I get alot of varied nutrients, that keeps me healthy medically. I am somewhat out of shape, but I am working on that every single day as of late and it is working very well. As I am also practicing archery. I really love sports/martial arts that takes a still and razor sharp mind.
Finlay to my question; I got no Dojo or such place that I can currecntly attend. I have had classes before, but that was years ago. I can get stronger and better at the stances and all that goes with practicing this art. But I have no one to spar with. How do I best prepare myself for a random attack, without having sparred against an actual person. Real life is always different than the gym, like you have said in your videos. Stuff happens, unforseen factors etc. I am good at seeing what is coming, as body linguistics wizard (which is the same as being a Master of it. It is kind of silly sounding name I know, but it is a real thing and has nothing to do with actual wizardry) is my job. So reading moves before they happen comes naturally (most people, obviously not Masters of martial arts. Just an edge against, lets say the general person)
Any advice? I would really appriciate it. I am not a big guy with my mere 62 kgs, so I could use an edge if someone decide to prove that they are cool or whatever reasons people have for attacking strangers. As I would hate to just be wasting my time thinking I am getting better. I want to train correctly, so I learn correclty. I am the type of person who either does, or does not. There is no half way with me. Which is why I bother to write such a detailed question. I hope it is not too long and a bother.
    Kind Regards,
    Lawliet River.

For all those wondering why this isn't used in UFC or MMA, it's illegal under the unified rules. Intentional breaking of bones/joints is illegal along with small joint manipulations

Master Wong; i was wondering why you use no hand trapping for boxers. Like you said; take away the weapon. Whenever i have sparred with boxers i always trap their hands, alternating between arms and sweep the leg if it arises. Is this in your opinion not a good idea?
