I think the figure looks great i like the vibrant colors of the yellow i don't think it looks cheap. my only gripe with this figure is the lack of articulations on the torso with the new body mold thats a no no . The color is accurate to 70s comics i grew up reading of luke cage .in the 70s so everything else is just fine. But hopefully we can get a carded retro in the future out of this wave with this figure . Its about imagination and fun Luke Cage in this classic look use to get his yellow shirt ripped anyways in comic's .by the majority of the time .due to explosives .so i don't mind the skin under his arms . Im glad Hasbro made him the way he looks like he is supposed too .but the lack of torso articulations can be bothersome at times . Nice review 👍🏻
Great review, man! I think the sculpt is very nice, but I agree with all your points whole-heartedly. It's strange how the shirt has those big gaps under the arms like that. If it had butterfly joints, I'd understand why they'd need to make the gaps bigger, but the figure doesn't, so it's just odd to see on this figure. We know that each wave of figures gets a budget, and it's abundantly clear that the minds at Hasbro thought that Luke Cage was the figure they could save money on by reducing cost. I find that to be a very POOR choice considering the line-up of characters. Blade and Luke are the STARS of this wave, IMO, so it boggles my mind that he got shafted like this. No butterfly joints. No waist articulation at all. No extra head. Not even calf swivel action??? Really? THIS version of Luke Cage is THE best Power Man look. He had it the longest, and it's the most familiar for many long-time comic book fans. Once again the Marvel Legends team proves to favor modern and '90s era figures over anything that came beforehand in comics. All efforts got to things like the Jim Lee era X-Men, the Avengers or Spider-Man lines, but when it comes to the rest of the Marvel Universe's characters and it's history, they just don't seem to care much from where I'm sitting looking in. Anyway, we could all grip about the shortcomings of the Legends teams until the cows come home, but at the end of the day, this is a good looking Luke Cage. I just wish that it was up to par with what they're capable of giving us. As you said, this feels 50/50. Nice looking Luke that's great to have, but loaded with missed opportunities. Rock Solid review!
No doubt, man! Since his shirt isn't meant to come off the figure, you'd think that they'd have least sprayed some yellow paint around the underarm area so it wouldn't be so obvious of a separation. @@blaketarpley8174

If I remember correctly, I know Luke Cage (Power Man) from the 2012 Ultimate Spider-Man series.
Same character
Just wanted to jump ahead. What ideas can you think of for Blades arms to sit more flush
Coming up in a video today
I scrolled to the end hoping there was a tutorial showing how to fix him... haha
I might try something soon
Hope you can show a waist mod video for this one. He needs it badly!
Lemme work on it
An appreciated, honest review of Luke Cage and his accessories!

Rock Solid review!
I bet the material under his arm was removed because his arms would not be able to go down to his sides.
