Awesome review, but man Hasbro really needs to learn how to do that double ball jointed neck system cause it can definitely offer better looking up movement but they just don't know how to install that joint.
Movie Carnage has an amazing neck joint considering it's from Hasbro. Honestly was surprised how well it moved. Not as good as imports but much better for Hasbros normal necks.
They've used those types of joints before. Off top red skull has 2 ball joints and iron Man from thanos 2 pack, doesn't offer much more range honestly, but if done right definitely could be better.
@@venomsjunkmailcarnage does have great head movement, the new venom has much more range with the king in black alt head where he's smiling, that's what I use
Pinless joints gets very loose over time, especially with Hasbro's soft and gummy plastic. I prefer pins to provide more friction and stability. They are barely noticible on monotone figures like Venom. Who's going to notice all black pins on an all black body that much?
And if they get loose, theres practically nothing you can do to fix em. Also since pinless joints arent removable, they arent parts-swappable thus limiting any customizing possibilities
@@Saiyan1229 Even if there are defective pins on some figures, they can be easily replaced. Whereas if a pinless one goes bad, they can't be fixed unless you pin them. Ending up with a pinned figure anyways.
4:58 we dont need a notch on the back for good upward neck range, Hasbro just needlessly sets the bottom ball joint to be so deep down for who knows why
Im looking forward to the INEVITABLE release of the Secret Wars 40th Anniversary Black Suit Spider Man.. which debuted in 1984s Secret Wars & is also celebrating its 40th Anniversary... Btw i know im aging myself.. but i remember picking up Secret Wars #1 at my local Comic Book store here in NYC..at this time Comic Book stores themselves were a BRAND NEW phenomenon..& i was surprised when my then gf/ future wife told me about it & when we went i was told by the owner all about pull lists..& i started collecting Marvel Comics again for the first time since my childhood.. Anyways thanks for the flashback..🤣
the main thing I wish this Venom figure had was the tongue-out headsculpt that came with the Animated Series-style retrocard Venom, a bit more classic looking than the Ryan Stegman headsculpt reused from the 3-pack. It's the difference in eye shape
I had COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN that i had pre-ordered this from Walmart a couple weeks ago until i saw this & a few other Walmart Exclusive Venom reviews pop up..& even tho i already have the Knull 2 Pack & Deluxe Monster Venom...IMO this I the DEFINITIVE O.G. Venom as originally drawn by Todd McFarlane in Amazing Spider Man #300.. Anyways great video brother I'm looking forward to more of your Marvel Legends reviews 👑
Definitely using the knull venom head on mine. Love that sculpt. It doesnt really have texture besides the wrinkling of the expression on the face, the rest of it is smooth so it works for me.
Love the new head! I wish hasbro would try a torso with a ball joint at the waist and keep the tradition ab crunch. Then so many character logos/symbols wouldn’t break up. Also don’t understand why they can’t make fully functional necks. Thanks for the video!
If I don't have a venom in my collection, should I get this one, or keep looking for the absorbing man version (the one I was looking for before this one released)
And that stupid reverse ab crunch too. You’d think one of the biggest companies in the world would understand the very basics of toy design and engineering.
@@obi-onekenerdiit's not that Hasbro can't do it, they are like Apple... Pacing slowly to make improvements little by little so u keep buying, and more $$$$ for the company. The neck sux... Knull Venom is still the best body they made so far... any ideas how to fix that neck? As far as i see in mine there is no way to take that ball off and work on it...
I have the old one, maybe is just better wait for the aliexpress knock off to get the new head sculpt. The body modification is not enough for sell it with this bad neck. I think hasbro does it on purpose.
I can see me being disappointed by this figure, especially if the hips are the same as the 3 pack version . The movie versions articulation was really good it was only really missing butterfly joints.
Great review! Always appreciate the insights in your review and I agree 100%. I was on the fence on this figure and was litteraly about to place a PO tomorrow but I am glad i saw your review first. Seeing all these misteps you can expect Hasbro is already working on a new venom which will "fix" the neck and pin issues but will still have some imperfections so they could keep the cycle running.
Wrong body used for venom. His head is too big. The shoulders look small and his chest as well. Of all the bucks hasbro has, they still went with this. 🙄🙄🙄

Actually they do know how to use it, black series, adventure series. /‘s the gi joe figures all use it and have for years

Ive literally found pinless figures joints lasting much longer than pinned

Yep another downside is the broken up logo here
Would like to have seen a comparison with the previous "classic" Venom they did some time back.
I didn’t got the 3 pack so I’m glad they reissued him, even tough I hate the Walmart exclusive thing. I pre-ordered him a few days ago.
The extreme torso bend combined with the prehensile tongue are designed for the kinds of "action stances" that will get you demonetized

Get this one and modify the neck
Hasbro and their useless neck joints

it’s so strange that hasbro can’t figure out anything, have they never seen an shf before?

Yeah fuck that neck joint
When is that figure coming to amazing or is it a exclusive to some store
Walmart exclusive

Please do a youtube short modding his neck
I'm actually reviewing a friend's copy, so I can't modify it. My instincts were right in not ordering one myself.
@@xcorpeo oh alright then
I appreciate this insightful and honest review. Therefore, I won't buy a copy of this Venom. Moreover, I'm happy with my MCU Venom.
just couldn’t give us a pinless venom, yet lol
We know this isn't the definitive Venom since it isn't pinless.

I really love this Venom
8:18 why didnt you try the McFarlane head into the 2Pack figure? :( I was waiting for that
Nice review. I'm cool with my 3 pack venom 😂
Me too 😬
Awwww man! I missed out on this guy, how regretful. Is there any chance he might be reissued or be put to retail at some point?
It hasn’t released yet.
@@ForestElfLego Really? Guess I gotta preorder one fast, provided it's still available.
i love the box art more than the figure
so excited for this. Hopefully the logo doesnt chip

I have the figure today..i hate the neck ball and no waist swivel? Really hasbro?😂😂
I prefer the mouth of the 3-pack version
Where’d you get that head thats on the renew your vows body in the height comparison?
Fahrulstore35 on IG, but pre orders only open periodically, the wait is 3 months, and communication is usually poor
Did it come out ?
They did the same thing with the new wolverine figure when it comes to the calf swible. It doesn't move. Very disappointing.
These are shipping out already?
In the end, this figure is for those who dont have a venom yet and dont want to buy a multipack.
Everyone HAS to have a Venom already by now though
Does anyone know what backdrop they use? It looks so clean
White paper and lighting 🤓
Where'd you get that head for your RYV Spider-Man?
Fahrulstore35 on IG. But he only periodically takes orders, the wait is about 3 months, and he doesn't communicate well.
I can see me being disappointed by this figure, especially if the hips are the same as the 3 pack version . The movie versions articulation was really good it was only really missing butterfly joints.
Hasbro style to give fans what they want over 4 or 5 versions of the same character, but not all at once 😂
Where did you get this figure
Seems like he hasn't answered anyone regarding where he purchased. Usually influencers post a link
