Can I also point out that when making the crust in the video you mentioned 1.5 sticks of melted butter but in the written recipe it says 6TBS. I should’ve read it first and followed your video when making the crust and I was wondering why it wasn’t as “doughy” and firm! I just added too much butter to the crust. I hope it still comes out good. I’m sure it will 🙂
I am keeping this recipe. I just learned my sister in law like my mother prefers pecan pie. She also told me she's been keto and was going back to it. This will be a perfect dessert in the futdre.

I will have to dip into my precious few bags of BS in my panty to make the filling. In Canada, I can only purchase BS from two online stores. Both have not been able to replenish their shelves with BS for a number of months now. I will try to be a “good keto disciple” and make a keto crust. But for me, I love making and feasting on traditional (combination of leaf lard and butter) short crusts. My pie fillings are usually keto though. LOL.

This is definitely key to pecan pie filling. I have a few precious bags of both granular and confection BS in my pantry. In Canada, I can only purchase BS from two online stores, and both stores have not had BS sweeteners for a number of months now. Anyway, I will try to be a “good keto disciple “ and make a keto crust. LOL! One of the hardest things for me on keto is substituting a traditional (combination of leaf lard and butter) pie crust for a keto crust. Admittedly, I usually make keto pie fillings …and then tend to make my pie crust. Love making and eating traditional crusts!! There!! Full confession…for me, I love pie crust more than filling.

Second year I’ve made this pie. I don’t usually like pecan pie but I love this one! My pecan pie loving family love it too. Unfortunately I had a diversion as it was baking and the crust and top got overcooked (yes burnt 🥵). This pie is so good it even tasted good even though a bit less oooie, gooie! Will make it again for Christmas AND warn everyone not to distract me during the baking!

Almost every sugar alternative has some kind of statement to possible stomach upset… I didn’t notice any for myself personally and I don’t believe CJ did either… Unfortunately, we are all unique individuals. The only way to know for sure is try it yourself. Thanks for watching😊

Butter measurement is off but correct on your blog. Newbie bakers won't catch this and it will ruin the pie. Not fussing here, just letting you know. Should be 3/4 c. butter.........great job on the videos.

Looks real good. I'm not full keto, I'm just low carb so I'm gonna use some dates, apple sauce and gelatin along with the butter, erythritol, Stevia and eggs. I use almond flour for the crust but I use an egg and some xanthan gum along with butter instead of just straight butter. Does the crust hold up ok for you with just the butter? Still not used to not glutton flours. It's great to see the keto recipes, they give me so many ideas. Many thanks.

I make mine with allulose and it works great. Remember you will have to add more as it is 70% as sweet as bocha sweet.

Butter measurement is off but correct on your blog. Newbie bakers won't catch this and it will ruin the pie. Not fussing here, just letting you know. Should be 3/4 c. butter.........great job on the videos.

Looks real good. I'm not full keto, I'm just low carb so I'm gonna use some dates, apple sauce and gelatin along with the butter, erythritol, Stevia and eggs. I use almond flour for the crust but I use an egg and some xanthan gum along with butter instead of just straight butter. Does the crust hold up ok for you with just the butter? Still not used to not glutton flours.
