    Thanks Marc. I just watched your ride / review. I appreciate Canadian reviews.
    The centre mirror may be part of the SE package for all of Canada. it is in the US.
    The D-Mode switch is optional. It's a 3 position horizontal rocker switch that goes in one of the cutouts under the display. It _should_ be included with the SE package but is only about $100.

    Can you show where the CVT intake & exhaust are located? Thanks!

    D-Mode on the X2 1000 is ONLY available as an accessory to save cost. Make sure your dealership has one on order for when you pick yours up. It defaults to Trail mode without the switch installed. #ForThePeasants

      This as I said before is the top trim SE model, there's absolutely NO excuses for that "switch" not being installed. make it optional on the R-Spec, that ok but not on the top trim model. does not make ANY sense when the same switch is available on the base model RMAX.

      @MassiveOverkill 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@PowerSportsQuebec the RMAX is a PREMIUM model. The X2 1000 (no matter what trim) is a BUDGET model. Yamaha wanted to give customers the absolute bottom line items they wanted, which was suspension and power with NO unnecessary frills in order TO KEEP COSTS AS LOW AS POSSIBLE. I ride in Trail mode 90% of the time in my RMAX.
      Next you're going to say the X2 1000 SE should have the same seats as the RMAX, Adventure Pro, lighted switches, iQS, SSV, etc. It's really NO BIG DEAL for a customer to order the switch before hand if they want it right away or maybe order it a month later because they want to offset tax, tag, and title fees.

      @@MassiveOverkill I do not agree on this specific item. I've been doing this long enough to make the difference and understand "RMAX vs X2" thing.
      What really erks me is this trend from manufacturers to offer features that you see every time your turn the key on but requires a pay up to use it. A top trim 25K machine is not a phone app. Either have it working or don't have it show up on the screen as a nag every time your turn the key on. That's my take on this trend that's starting to show up in UTVs.

      @@PowerSportsQuebec what that it shows you're it 'Trail Mode' when you start it up? That's what mode it's in by default. It's not like it flashes: "Hey man, you could get Crawl and Sport Modes if you bought the switch" or sends that message to your smart phone.

    Is so much more comfortable compared the X2 1000

    To be honest, I would have bought the 850 if it had this suspension back in 2019. The 1000cc engine is a bonus! I may be upgrading in a year or so.

    The three modes that are available on the Rmax are an option on the x2. You can buy the toggle switch from Yamaha to be able to switch between them. If not it stays in Trail T on the display. It’s like $100 on accessories catalogue so it’s a cheap worth it upgrade.

    • @PowerSportsQuebec
      @PowerSportsQuebec 10 месяцев назад

      That just does not fly with me sorry... The modes are there, Yamaha made them available and this is the top SE trim is it not? Why pay more to get an "extra" feature on the top model? c'mon! That just plain don't make sense.

    @PowerSportsQuebec Hi Marc, I have been trying deciding on getting either a X2 1000 or a Rmax and would really like your opinion of between the two. I was leaning more to towards getting the X2 1000 for the tighter trails & cost savings. Or should a person just regrettably pay more and get the Rmax.

      Dunno they are both great machines. its more a question of personal taste and how YOU feel with your buns sitting in the seat... Very hard for me to tell ya witch one. They are both great machines honestly, either way you cant really go wrong man.

      @@PowerSportsQuebec Thank you Marc! I guess I was leaning to is the little extra suspension on the Rmax worth the extra money for bit rougher trails.
