I haul vegetation with a walking floor trailer and my truck NEVER gets clean. We dump in a field and if I don't get stuck it's a miracle. As big as your rig is it would have been bad stuck in the mud. Sometimes diplomacy works at a dropoff. Take care hi Bailey!

Hey Dan,thank you for being considerate of the other drivers in the parking lot,I never pulled a reefer cause my thing was flatbed and dry box. But I would still try to park in the farthest corner of a truck stop to avoid the noise, and almost always there would be one or two come and back in beside me and usually idle their truck to a thousand Rpm so the fans would constantly be kicking on and the reefer rumbling. Many of them say they can’t sleep without the noise, but they have no pity on their fellow drivers.

Dan Dan the professional flat deck man. I use to hate driving up to construction sites that were mud pits. It seems open deck drivers run into it way more than the box trailers. I know you got compensated for sitting 24 hours. But it still does not get ya rolling when you were supposed two. That’s trucking, hurry up and wait. Well Dan loved the video. Have a great and a safe day. Happy trails and happy motoring..,

Been there done that i delivered Insulation for 20 years not always to job sites but about half were. Most of those places wanted it in the worst spots and if it was muddy they didn't care. When it was dry it wasn't as bad but they never wanted to see Insulation come for some reason .Glad im retired and don't have to fool with it anymore

The pyrometer is really the temperature of exhaust as it leaves your head. Basically the combustion temperature. Increases dramatically with lugging. Drove a lot of 2 stroke 8 v92 Detroit motors with a dual pyro gauge, and no turbo. Use it to determine if your gear is too high, even if it pulls fine. Watched a guy blow up our 72 pete with a 3406 cat and a 6x4 Spicer. Every time he grabbed a higher gear, that pulled fine, the pyro started rising. Back and forth, until boom!.

I’ve been driving for about 38 years. I bought an automatic 2 years ago, hated it at first but man I’d hate to know I had to go back to shifting gears now. I’ve had zero problems with mine in this Western Star with the DT12. Best thing in the world in stop and go traffic.

I’ve seen you put your trucks in several spots that I thought were questionable. Not your fault. Just trying to do a good job you were. I know you don’t like to get too deep in the mercer talk, but how does that work when you say no I’m not driving in that muddy field. Does Mercer have your back?
